Hello Doiley-TSC0930

The challenge for the TSC this week was to make a card with navy and gold. How could I use these colors and not make a Christmas card? I used my score pal to make the background paper as my Sizzix ef were not big enough. Ok, Sizzix, make some bigger ones so we can keep buying. :) I just received my Hello Doily stamp this week and it was perfect for the challenge. We would love to have you join us in the challenge. Use the keywords TSC0930.

CCEE1139 Postage Challenge with the help of my friends

The CCEE challenge for this week was given by Cindy. She challenged us to make a card with something to do with postage whether it have something to do with a postage stamp, a post card or postage edge. This one really threw me for a loop. The only thing I could think of to work with was deckled scissors. I started out with a completely different card. I changed my image mid stream then ran across this paper by Lost and Found that went pretty well with my Texas images. I worked really hard trying to do a vintage card, vintage does not come easily for me. The scripture was smudged purposely to make it look old. My friends Tate and Kathy helped me with supplies they had given me for my stash. Thanks, a bunch, gals.

We would love for you to join us in the CCEE challenge. To see the details of the challenge and the other cards by the other CCEE team members check out the the CCEE Stampers Blog.

Dear Santa, TSC0923

The TSC challenge this week was to make a Christmas card and include glitter. I loved this stamp from Whipper Snapper and as you can tell, I had a lot of fun with it. I knew Santa would recognize that I had been a good girl. The list of names on the bad list are my friends who are my Twisted Sisters. They know I am just a wee bit mischievous so maybe they will forgive me. I was just having fun. I am sure they will get me back on this one.

Thanks for stopping in and come back soon.

First Easel Card

This card was made for the Mothermark teapot party, today. I knew I wanted to make a round card and decided it was time for my visiting friend, IrishgreenSue, to help me turn it into an easel card. I am one of those people who can't follow directions so I am glad Sue was here to help me. Otherwise, my card would have been such a mess that I couldn't have posted it. (Grin)

Thanks, for coming by today. See you again soon.

Yellow and Blue, House Mouse and Midnight Madness

Wow, looks like I am on a Yellow and Blue kick this week. This is the third card in a week that I have used these colors. Funny thing is, they are not colors that I normally use. I made this card for the House Mouse and Friends Challenge this week. They are having a birthday celebration blog hop. The theme was birthday and flowers. Well, laying in a hammock with the fabulous weather we have been having this week, seems like a perfect way to spend a relaxing birthday.
If you want to see some cute mousie cards stop by House Mouse and Friends Blog Hop .

This card was made for Priscilla's Midnight Madness sketch challenge this week. This image is one of Priscilla's. I purchased it months ago and and it just seemed to go perfect with the dp.

I promise that my next card will not be yellow and blue, I do believe I am done with those colors for a while.

Have a wonderful day. I am happy you stopped in to take a look at my cards. "Come back soon, now, ya hear?"

Challenges: Midnight Madness - Sketch
The Pink Elephant - Vintage

Paper Cupcake Challenge Card

This week the Paper Cupcakes/There's Magic in the Air Blog challenge was to make a shaped card, anything but a square or rectangle. We were supposed to use the Freebie image that Nina has on the blog this week, "Sending Love Your Way".
We would love to have you join us for the challenge this week, you can use the free image, an image of your choice doesn't have to be Paper Cupcakes or you can go shopping at the Paper Cupcake's Challenge Blog and pick an image of your liking.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. It really seemed to fly by at our house.

Have a great week.

Happy 109th Birthday, Eula

I had a few challenges I wanted to do this week so due to lack of time, I was able to combine them. This card was made for the teapot party this week. The cards go to Eula who is celebrating her 109th birthday. Wow, can you imagine being her age and still having a sharp mind like she does. My poor little mind forgets more and more each day. Eula likes to know about the internet and about others lives. What card would better describe something about me than a dog card. Most of you know my hobby seems to be collecting dogs lately. Real ones. This squigglefly image was perfect since the last dog that came to my home to adopt me was a Doxie girl. (my Doxie is black, but with the black sunglasses, the blacks just blended together, I will have to practice on that) The Squigglefly challenge was to use green and blue. I added the lace border to soften it us since I am sending it to Ms. Eula. I also used the Midnight Madness challenge for this week.

I cannot believe that summer is gone and I did not make this scrumptious sherbet. It is our favorite. Over at House Mouse designs, they are having a House Mouse and Friends recipe challenge. I thought this little recipe card would be perfect for their challenge.
