Halloween Treats-Paper Cupcake Challenge

Jennifer S. has challenged us with a theme of Trick or Trick - Something Sweet. (Use any sweet themed image i.e. candy, cupcakes, ice cream, etc. ) I used the cupcake with the butterfly by
Paper Cupcakes. I used a Cheery Lynn Pastry Doily Die that I purchased from Happy Scrappy - http://www.happyscrappy.us/. Go by the Happy Scrappy site and check out their prices and shipping. The corner adornments are Sizzix dies, I think. We would love for you to join us in the There's Magic in the Air challenge so come on over and have some fun.

CCEE1141-Celebrate Columbus Day

The CCEE Challenge for this week was to make a card that related to Columbus day which we celebrated this week. I have had these stamps for a long while, but had never used them. I know you don't usually see a sailboat in a bottle, but it was the only ship I had besides a cruise ship. It was hard getting a good picture of the card. The sponging is darker than picture is showing. If you would like to join us for this challenge, go to CCEE Stampers Blog for the details or to view the other team members cards.

Thanks, for stopping by.

Adorable Halloween Girl

A friend of mine used this stamp at one of our monthly card swaps. I loved it so much that I searched for one to buy. I don't do a lot of Halloween cards so I have very few Halloween stamps, now that sounds like a good reason to buy a new stamp. I know, like I need a reason.
I have had the designer paper, the metallic copper paper, the brads and the ribbon for a long time. It is good to use some of these things. We always need to make room for new stuff, don't we? I hope you like this cute little girl as much as I did. Thanks, once again, for stopping by.

CCEE1140

The challenge for the CCEE Stampers this week was to make a card with our favorite color combo and to have half a circle on the card. I love this dp by My Mind's Eye-Lost and Found.
There is no stamping on my card and I feel like a cheater, even though there is nothing that says we have to stamp. This was a fun card once I got in gear and figured out what I was going to do.

You are welcome to join us in the CCEE Stampers challenge. You can find the details and what the other team members have made this week at the CCEE Stampers Blog.

Thanks, for stopping by.

Paper Cupcakes Flowers For You

I made this card for the Paper Cupcakes Challenge this week. Jennifer B. challenged us to make a card with greens/neutral, and/or reusing/recycling items in our project. I chose to start with the Paper Cupcakes image, Flowers for you. I recycled wall paper (the green plaid paper and the paper on the circle) from a wall paper book and used a very old button. We would love to have you join us for the challenge. You can find the details on the Paper Cupcake's Challenge Blog, There's Magic in the Air. Nina has a fun free image for you this week. You do not have to use a Paper Cupcake image, but we hope you will. It is always fun to see what everyone does with the images. Nina is also giving a way a couple of images this week, you can find the details on the blog. I hope to see you over there.

I entered this card in the following challenges:

House Mouse Christmas

Happy October, everyone. It is a perfect time for making smores and roasting hot dogs. I hope you are enjoying the cooler weather. It feels good today, but tonight is suppose to be cold.

I am excited to tell you about my mousie card. I made it for the House Mouse and Friends challenge 105. We were to make our card glittery. I put glitter on his hat, not sure if you can see it. This card was made from scraps. My friend, Sue, was here visiting from PA. We saw some cards on a SU demo's blog made from scraps so that is where this idea came from. Sue put the strips on the card for me while she was here and I am just getting around to finishing it. Notice that there are two strips of paper vertically and horizontally, my ribbon hides a lot of it. I had the scalloped square in with these scraps so I added it and the cute little mousie. Isn't this a great way to use up those scraps? I have bags and bags of scraps, probably enough to make a jillion cards. What do you think about my scrappy card?

I also entered this card in the Tip Top Tuesday challenge and my tip is about how to use up the scraps.
