CCEE Stampers-Make embellishments

The CCEE Stampers challenge for this week was to make our own embellishments, use 2 dp's and use ef.   Oh, no, the challenge police are coming to take me away.   No embossing folder used and I hope my background paper can be a substitute for the dp's.  The flip flops and the starfish  were cut with the silhouette.  The background paper was something I did a long time ago.   I ironed wrinkled wax paper onto glossy card stock.  At least that is how I think I did it, it has been a long time.  The blue made me think of water which was perfect for this Ms. Piggy.  The image was a Paper Cupcakes by Nina May.

This card is also for the Twisted Sister challenge.  Tater gave the challenge and ask us to do a beach theme card and specifically asked us not to use pink.  Hee Hee.   She knew I was going to use pink.  (I always do when she says that)  Really pink is the only color for this little piggy.  ~grin~

Thanks, for stopping by today.

  5. Oh, I think that background paper is perfect - and it could be DP! It makes me want to try wax paper resist again. I think the challenge police will be sending out a truck, not just a car this week, LOL - but your embellishments are amazing. I would have sworn that was a real little starfish, and the flip-flops are the cutest accessory for your little piggy.

  6. I love, love this image and totally forgot about her until you made this adorable card. She is so very adorable and you've colored her perfectly. Your DP is awesome and looks like a large body of water. The fibers down the card are very cool!

  7. Hey, Shirt, your waxed paper resist IS Designer paper - just homemade - no worries about the police - now Tater, that is another thing! I am sure she will pretend to be all riled up and then say since pigs are pink, you are forgiven, like always!! I love the colors of your card, the flip flops look super and that "eyelash" yarn really adds a lot!! Way to go - and you are early for the challenge too! You GO, Girl!!

(Stopped in to check out my email and comment on today's CCEE cards. My sis is in a lot of pain, but that's to be expected. We do believe this fusion worked and in 6 months or so, she'll be good as new! No internet there and I'm in withdrawal!)
