Stars Or Stripes Challenge

I am hosting the Splitcoast Stampers Free 4 All challenge this week.  Since we are almost to the Fourth of July,  I decided to go with a Stars or Stripes or Both challenge.   I let the Graphic 45 By The Sea Paper Pad the focal point of my card instead of stamping.   My Spellbinders die is just too large in my opinion.  I do not use it for that reason.  I cut this one down a little and I like it better.  It still makes a large card, but it helps.  I fussy cut the shells from the paper and popped them up.  It needed something else so I decided to post the beach rules just so everyone remembers what to do when they get to the beach.  I punched out some stars and added them to the corners.  The lighthouse has stripes so it look like I did both stars and stripes.

It was fun to make a card adding anything I wanted with no rules.  Sometimes rules takes away from ones creativity.    The Beach Rules are an exception, those sound fun.  ~grin~

I hope you will come over to Splitcoast and join me for the challenge.

  3. Love the overall nautical theme to show your stars and stripes - that is a large die, but you made it work beautifully by cutting it down a bit. Love the added shells, compass and the 'beach rules'- perfect finishing touch!
