I am hosting the Splitcoast Stampers Free 4 All challenge this week. Since we are almost to the Fourth of July, I decided to go with a Stars or Stripes or Both challenge. I let the Graphic 45 By The Sea Paper Pad the focal point of my card instead of stamping. My Spellbinders die is just too large in my opinion. I do not use it for that reason. I cut this one down a little and I like it better. It still makes a large card, but it helps. I fussy cut the shells from the paper and popped them up. It needed something else so I decided to post the beach rules just so everyone remembers what to do when they get to the beach. I punched out some stars and added them to the corners. The lighthouse has stripes so it look like I did both stars and stripes.
It was fun to make a card adding anything I wanted with no rules. Sometimes rules takes away from ones creativity. The Beach Rules are an exception, those sound fun. ~grin~
I hope you will come over to Splitcoast and join me for the challenge.
This is so gorgeous!! I love the beautiful lighthouse image and the rules!! Have a great weekend!! Big hugs :)

So beautiful and I love the nautical theme of your card as well as it using the stars and stripes.
ReplyDeleteLove the overall nautical theme to show your stars and stripes - that is a large die, but you made it work beautifully by cutting it down a bit. Love the added shells, compass and the 'beach rules'- perfect finishing touch!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and love all the details you added to make it Special.
