Wild Wild West Man rides again

This week Kathy challenged the CCEE  Stampers to make a tag or a card with a tag.  A friend of mine recently got the SU Wild Wild West stamp set for me.   It was retired several years ago and has become a very popular item.  It is very hard to get and on ebay they are selling for big bucks.  I am happy to say that this Man lives with me now.  ~smile~   I am combining the CCEE challenge with the Twisted Sisters challenge this week.  The twisted sisters challenge is to make a card with wildlife on it and add paint for extra credit.   Okay, now your wondering  how this card relates to wild life, aren't you?   Well, this man is wanted by all women and ya never know whose house he might be found at, therefore, he is liking his Wild Life.   That is the fun part of the challenges is to see how everyone has a different way of thinking.  For the extra credit part of it, I painted a tag, sent to me by Blooms in a Box.   I used gold paint and sponged brown ink over it to tone it down a little.  I also sponged over the tag with my man on it.  Sue gave me this awesome paper and brads that are so perfect with the stamp set.   The ribbon is burlap ribbon and fringe came from Hobby Lobby.

Well, I hope you enjoyed seeing my card today and please come back again soon.

Bumpkin

This card is made for the  Squigglefly challenge  today.  The challenge is to make a card with a pink button or pink bow and you can use both if you like.  The image I chose to use today is Bumpkin, you can find her in the Squigglefly's on-line shop .    I colored her with copics.  The paper used is Paper Studio.    I love orange and pink together.   I think they were the perfect colors for Ms Bumpkin.

If you would like to play along with te SF team, head on over to Squigglefly

Happy Birthday You Old Dog

Over at SpeedyTV they have a tutorial on embossing and a challenge.   I absolutely love this set, not just because of my love for dogs, but I like the inside sentiment that says "Happy Birthday You Old Dog".    This card is so perfect for my dh's best friend.  I used bronze embossing powder and Stampin' Up bronze paper.  The stamp set is by Marks Finest Paper - Old Dog.   I hope you get as big a kick out of this as I did.

Thanks for coming by today.

Paddle Faster, Please

Here is another card I made for the Outlawz "transportation" challenge.   I used another Squigglefly image with Shy Bear canoeing.  Looks like the baby  bear is worried that fish is going to jump in the boat with them and he is saying, "Hurry, paddle faster."

Have a great weekend and come back again soon.

Shy Bear goes skiing

Who couldn't love this sweet Shy Bear (a squigglefly image)  and geesh, ya never know what he is going to do next.  He does it all including skiing behind a really fast boat who is entering the no wake zone.   I colored him with copics, used Miss Caroline paper along with some Stampin' Up.   Aaaaaaaaaaand, yes I did use a fork to tie my bow.  I am entering this in the Outlawz challenge, the challenge is all about transportation.   Shy Bear had no other transportation across the lake other than the boat and the skiis,  therefore I think the card qualifies for this challenge.   This card was also made for the Queen for The Day challenge on Splitcoast.   Kathymac was the queen and she has a great gallery.  What a talented lady.  I want to be her when I grow up.   That is why I am wannabcre8tive on Split coast, there is always some one who does fabulous work that I want to be.  Yep, I am a wannabe.

Friday's are usually spent with my daughter in law so I best get my work done so I can go.

Have a great weekend and thanks for coming by to visit today, hope you come back soon.

Squigglefly Surprise

A couple of weeks ago, I got a email that was really a nice surprise,  it was an invitation to be on the Squigglefly design team.  I love their images and you  have probably been able to tell that by the amount of cards that I make with a Squigglefly image.  I know you probably have already guessed, I said, "yes".   I do not officially start until July 1st.  I look forward to working with their talented team.   The squigglefly challenge this week is to make a shaped card.  This image "Am I having fun yet" by Lynne Stansberry  caught my eye and made me giggle.    When I look at her face I am imagining that someone just told her about the new automatic washing machines and she just said, "Your kiddin',  right"?  Well, maybe you didn't giggle about this as much as I did, but hopefully it gave you a smile today.

My friend, Irishgreensue came to visit for a week.   She showed me  again how to make the easel cards.  Thanks, Sue,

Thanks for stopping by.

No pink?

I am early for the Twisted Sisters challenge this week.  The challenge is given by Tater, to do a card that relates to travel and no pink.    She knows without a doubt that I will use pink this week,  how could I not when she says not to?  Such a rebel, I am.  LOL  I have had this image for a while and I love it, but for some reason it never made it to a card.  It is a digital image from Patty G's.   The boxer driving looks just like my oldest  Boxer, Bandit, so I really am liking this digital already.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look today.  Hope you will come back soon.

Mustache Cupcake

The challenge over at Paper Cupcakes is to make a card with this mustache cupcake image.
What a cute image!    I used the cupcake chain punch.  I used liquid pearls and red stickles to fill it in.
We would love for you to join us over at There's Magic in the  for this challenge.   See you there.

Vintage lady

To start off her challenges for the month for the CCEE Stampers,  Kathy has challenged us to create a card that has a vintage feel.  I chose this vintage lady from Becky's place.   She was really fun to work with.  I really like the way she turned out.   I show cased her with  Wild Asparagus paper.   I used copics to color her clothing, but left her face and hand the colors of the paper she was printed on.

We'd love to have you play along. All you have to do is create something using the above challenge, and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword CCEE1223. Don't forget to come back here and link it on Inlinkz so that everyone else can see your card too!

Thanks for stopping by.

Party Puppy

The Twisted Sister challenge for this week is to make a card with a critter, sentiment on the front of the card, use a punch or die and incorporate some type of embossing. I embossed my dp. The image I used today is one of the new arrivals (party puppy) over at Paper Cupcakes. Nina just added about 10 new digi's last week.

The keywords for our Twisted Sister challenge is TSC0601 if you would like to play along with us.
