Speedy Fox and Friends - Use a Silhouette

Speedy Fox and Friends are having a use a silhouette stamp challenge this week.    I chose to use the Mark's Finest Paper "Big City" stamp set for mine.   I stamped it on white paper and sponged in the water, sun and clouds.  I thought his Spellbinders frame was perfect for the image.

Thank you, for stopping in today.

Classy Cards N Such - Sunflower Inspiration

I love Sunflowers so I really love the challenge for the Classy Cards N Such blog this week.

We were given a beautiful inspiration picture for this week.  My friends can tell you I also love a yellow and black color combination, I use it quite often and especially for cards with sunflowers.

Do you not just love the bow on my card?   That is another die that I am loving these days.  It is a Sue Wilson die.

For the details on my card and for the rules of our challenge, please visit Classy Cards N Such blog.

Speedy Fox and Friends - CAS

Everyone likes a CAS challenge so Speedy Fox and Friends are bringing you one today.   I used the Mark's Finest Paper stamps called "Block Flowers" and I really like them in the bright colors along with the turquoise paper.

Classy Cards N Such - Celebrating You

My card today showcases a image from the JustRite Botanical Medallions & Banners   stamp set.    I love Poppies  so you might see me make a lot of cards with Poppies.

I colored my Poppies with Copic markers.   I cut the image  and the layer with the Spellbinders Decorative Labels Twenty Seven dies. I attached the image to white embossed card stock.  I used red sequins with White Pearls in the center for my embellishments next to my poppies and sentiment.

News flash - now there is a new die called Sequins by My Favorite Things. You can make your own sequins using one of the many Foil or Metallic paper packages available at Classy Cards 'n such. Click here to see them and the products that are listed above, don't forget-use the code Shirley-10 for a 10% discount!

I stamped the sentiment, cut it out and made a layer to go behind it.

I hope you enjoyed the card today and the recipe for making it.

Speedy TV Inspiration Challenge - Salt and Pepper Shakers

This week we are using vintage salt and pepper shakers for our inspiration for my challenge over at Speedy TV.   I remember my mom collecting a lot of them when I was a kid.  Those were the days.

For my card I chose the Mark's Finest Paper stamps called "Hum Along" to use on my card.  I used red, white and blue because my inspiration came from the colors in the picture I chose.  I used a different color of blue because the darker blue  did not have an oriental look.

Here is the picture that I chose for  inspiration on this challenge.

I hope you will join us for the challenge.  It would make my day to see your card uploaded to Mr. Linky.

Classy Cards N Such - Home Is Where the Heart Is

I am super excited today because I used the  new Sue Wilson dies  on my card.   If you haven't seen these dies, you might want to check them out in the Classy Cards N Such store.   I started out with a vanilla card base and I cut the next layer from the (pink) Graphic 45 Botanical Tea paper.

I used the A2 Divine Elegance die to cut the fancy background layer.   I took another piece of the Graphic 45 Botanical Tea Paper and placed two dies from  California Collection- Beverly Hills dies  to cut the next beautiful layer.   Next I used a Spellbinders label die from the A2 Filigree Delight package and used vanilla paper with it.  For the final layer, I used the Spellbinders Classic  Scalloped heart die to cut the heart.  I stamped "Happy BIrthday" on the heart from a stamp in my collection.   I used White pearls to embellish the die cuts.

Thank you, for coming by today to take a look at my card.    I hope you will join us for our "Home is Where the Heart is"  challenge.  We would love to see your card.

Classy Cards N Such - Need a Push?

Here is a card I made for Classy Cards N Such.   I love this Sparkle and Sprinkle set " Henry".   Poor Henry looks like he has seen better days, don't you think?    This is a fun set to work with.  It really looks like it is a masculine set, but I posted a card made with a few days ago and the car was colored pink to give it a "girly" look.

I stamped the image on white card stock and colored with copics.    I used the A2 Matting Basics to cut the mat.  The designer paper that I used is by Glitz Designs.     I used a gear from my stash as the final touch for my card to give it an even more masculine feel.

I hope this card gave you a little smile today.  Come back soon.

Speedy TV Inspiration Challenge - Let's Paint the Floors

This week for the inspiration challenge over at Speedy TV we are using pictures of painted floors to get us inspired.   I really loved the floors and wish I had someone to come and paint mine pretty like these.  Now my dear husband may be unhappy that he put in long hours laying the floor and I let someone put paint on them.   Oh, well, what does he know about decorating?  ~laughing~

Here are the pictures of the floors and which one is your favorite?

I chose picture #1 for my inspiration.   I just added a little extra design.   I hope you will choose one of the pictures and enter your card in our challenge.

Thank you, for coming to my blog and taking a look at my post today.  Come back tomorrow for another new post or two.
