Here is a card I made with the Blue Knight Window in the Wall, Praying for You and Bible Verse 2 stamps. I colored the image with copics and punched some flowers for my red vine. A perfect card for someone going through a rough time.
This is a picture of the actual Window in the Wall stamp. It is very versatile, you can use the view that is already on the stamp or put anything you like in the window.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I hope you will come back soon.
Mama and Baby Sheep. This was a fun stamp to work with and it came together really quick.
I colored with copics and then I sponged the rest of it. The sentiment is embossed using silver embossing powder. I added the clouds, popped the top one up. I used three purple rhinestones as the finishing touch.
Good Morning, Blogger Friends. The Friends of Flourishes Design Team challenge for today is anything goes. I wanted to use the "So...this is Easter" set because it is so cute and I still need another Easter card. I had other plans for my layout when I started, but once I colored the image, I decided that the original plan would take away from my card. I like the CAS look.
The Flourishes blog and store has been under construction and it has taken longer than was planned to complete it. We apologize for the inconvenience of not being to access them at this time. They will be up and running soon.
Have a Happy Easter and thank you for stopping in today. Below are links to the other design team members blogs.
The CAS challenge theme for today is "Egg Hunt". I was happy to see that challenge because I had this un-inked and fun stamp sitting on my desk to be used. I really have a hard time doing CAS cards, they are a challenge to me. (For Real) I think I will go make a couple more before I tackle some dreaded housework.
Have a great day and I hope you come back real soon.
This is the last day of the Flourishes Blog Hop showing the new releases. Today we are showing you what we have made using the Bunnies, Bunnies, Bunnies stamps. I used the Flourishes Tartan Plaid stamp on both of my cards today.
Thank you, for stopping by and you will find my team mates blogs listed below so you can hop right on over to see their cards.
Today the Flourishes Blog is showing the new release called "So This Is Easter". I really like roosters so this image is one of my favorites. I used the Tartan Plaid background stamp, plaid goes so well with the country rooster.
I appreciate you coming by today. I hope you can take a look at the Friends of Flourishes design team and the Flourishes Blog to see the other cards made with this set.
Today Flourishes Blogis showcasing cards made with the new "He Is Risen" stamp set. I used the feathers from this set for my focal point. I added hearts, a button and gold cording over the two colors of blue feathers. I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Winter Birds stamp set, with gold embossing powder. I added a corner and sequins to complete my card.
My team mates have made cards from this stamp set, too. I hope you will visit them and see what they have made, as well as the Flourishes Blog.
Here is the Vintage Easter stamp set that Flourishes is introducing today. My stamp set got lost in the mail, I presume, and I do not have a card to share with you. I hope this cute set finds it's way to my mailbox soon, I cannot wait to color that cute basket. Be sure and check out Kren and Toni's cards today.
This is day two of the Flourishes BlogHop. The Tartan Plaidstamp is being showcased today. I really like this one because when you do not have the color of designer paper to match your card stock, you can stamp your own paper in just the right color. I love the lavender stamped on the blue card stock so I used the same color combo today. I also used the tulip from the Flourishes Year of the Flower stamp set. I wanted to keep my layout simple today so it did not take away from the beautiful plaid background.
If you would like to see more cards made with the Tartan Plaid stamp, check the list below of my team mates who are participating in the hop. Thanks, for coming by today.
Flourishes Blog will be featuring the new Spring Releasesthis week. For Day One of the hop, I made a card using the Thistle Stamp set. I stamped the Thistle on Bashful Blue Card Stock. The embossed panel is also blue card stock. I inked the embossing folder with Violet ink before embossing. I really liked the blue with the purple.
I hope you will check out the blog to see the other designer's cards.
Here is a card I made using three stamp sets from Blue Knight Rubber stamps. (Fence and Fawn, Country Home, Mini Greetings 1) For those of you who know me, you know I hate masking, but this wasn't hard at all and the card came together really quick.
For those of you in PA, Blue Knight Rubber Stamps will be in Allentown this weekend. If you go to the stamp show, drop by and say "hi" to Lynn.
I started out by stamping my fence on white card stock. I made a mask of the fence and stamped in the country house. I colored the card with copics and sponged my clouds in using a cloud template. I colored the deer, fuss cut him and adhered him on the card.
I had this image already colored so I used it for the SCS sketch challenge and for the Eureka Spring Challenge. The sketch used squares so I changed mine up a bit by using rectangles. The image I used is Eureka Full Frame Flowers. I colored the image with copics and used my dotted embossing folder on all the panels.
I am happy you dropped by today and I hope you liked my card.
Here is a cute wedding card I made using Blue Knight's Wedding Day Stamp. The wedding season is coming up fast and it is always good to have a wedding card or two in our stash. I wanted to keep it fairly simple so I did not take away from the beauty of the stamp. I colored the image with copics. I added rhinestones on the brides necklace, oops- I mean diamonds. Really diamonds are a girl's best friend- they say and I bet she would wear diamonds on her special day. ~grin~ I added black tulle. I wanted to add sequins, but I really think the image is beautiful without them.
Thanks, for coming by today. I would love to hear what you think of my card.
The Free 4 All challenge is to case a card that you have saved in your favorites. I went way back in my favorites and cased a card by Mothermark/Cindy. Cindy made awesome cards and she had a wonderful sense of humor. She was a lot of fun. Cindy's cards always had the most amazing clouds in her scenes. She taught me how to make the clouds on my card today. Since I love make scenes with clouds, I thought it only appropriate to pick one of her cards to case. Cindy's card.
Thank you, for coming by today. I hope you have a fabulous weekend.
Thanks, to the Splitcoast Sketch challenge, I have a new card to show you. I was coloring this image when I saw the sketch and decided to play. I changed my sketch a little. The title for my card sounds like a Soap Opera title. ~smile~
The stamps I used are from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps. (Ducktails and Mini Greeting 2) The paper is scraps from a Crate Paper pad.
Happy Spring, Everyone. This is the first day, but this is what I have been waiting on. I know we will have some cool days for a while, but I like knowing warmer days are on the way.
I wanted to participate in the Technique Lover's Challenge over at Splitcoast today. The technique is called Baby Wipe Water Coloring. I used a piece of designer paper that was off white with a pattern that
reminded me of the sun. I used my distress inks that I put on acrylic
blocks and then used a baby wipe to apply the inks to the card stock. I
had this Eureka Bunny with Flowers image already colored. Yay. I
fussy cut it and popped it up on the dp with dimensionals. I added some
sequins for the finishing touch.
If you have not been over to Stamp On It to see their new site, you might want to check it out. They have such cute images. They have Artful Stamps, Biblical Impressions, Eureka and QKR Stampede stamps. They have both rubber stamps and digital stamps.
Thanks, for stopping by today.
QKR Stampede - anything goes with a twist (twist is Congratulations but it doesn't have to be used) I entered just for fun.
Here is a card I made with a Blue Knight Stamp called Crow on a Wagon Wheel for the Free 4 All Challenge at Splitcoast. The theme is Spring. I love sunflowers and I cannot wait to see them growing along with Mr. Sun shining brightly. I am tired of dreary days.
We do have sun today so I hope to enjoy it along with a cute little guy and girl that are spending time with me today.
Enjoy your weekend and I hope you have sunshine today.
I made this card for the Friends of Flourishes Blog ribbon challenge today. I used the Year of the Flowers 2 Stamp Set. I used Versamark to stamp my image on white card stock and added gold embossing powder over it. The image was then colored with copics. I added it to circles of yellow and navy card stock so I could adhere it to my card. To finish off my card I added a white bow that I tied with a fork. Those are my favorite bows.
Thanks, for coming by and I hop you will check out my other team mates cards.
I made this for the Featured Stamper on Splitcoast yesterday. BubblestX4 was the FS. She has a wonderful gallery. I chose a card she made a month ago because I has sent her a message to tell her I would be casing her card. Her card used the same Spellbinders Decorative Curved Square die. She had Celebrate Love and a heart on her card, using black, white and red colors.
I used Navy, (even though it looks black in the pic) pink and green galore card stock. I used the same Spellbinders Decorative Curved Square die and the other dies are from Our Daily Bread Designs.
This is rare, I did not use any stamps.
I bet a lot of you are getting snow today. I have always said that it can snow, just not on the roadways and sidewalks so finally we got that snow. We have about 2 inches, I am guessing. We have had warm temps for the last couple of weeks so the snow melts off the pavement as soon as it hits. Yes, this is my kind of snow.
I know a lot of you in the northern states are getting a lot of snow that is sticking. You all stay in, if possible, and stay safe.
Hi, it is Shirley posting today. It is my week to host the Friends of Flourishes challenge. I challenged the team to make a “masculine” card. I think most of us seem to have a hard time making cards for the males in our lives. Really they aren’t that hard. I think most of us believe that a masculine card is not suppose to have flowers on it. That is not necessarily true. Men like flowers, just like we do, although I did not use flowers on my card today. Men just don’t want all the ribbon and foo foo that we ladies like.
For my card, I used the Flourishes image from the “My Cup Overflows” Stamp set. My sentiment “relax” is from the Flourishes Fuji Mum set. I thought this would make a perfect birthday card.
Check out the other members of the Friends DT and see what they have to share with you:
I am the challenge hostess this week for the Free 4 All challenge at Splitcoast Stampers. The theme is "Calling All Foodies". I definitely am a foodie. I am always wanting to try new restaurants and foods. Even if you do not consider yourself a "Foodie", you can still play the challenge. Just make sure you put food or something food related on your card.
I used a Stampin' Up Stamp Set called Perfect Mix for my card. I fell in love with the set when I first saw it in the catalog.
Thank you, for stopping by my blog today. I hope you make a card to share with me for this challenge.
I made this card for the Friends of Flourishes Blog Vellum challenge today. I used the Year of the Flowers 2 Stamp Set. I used Versamark to stamp my image on vellum and added gold embossing powder over it. After heat setting the embossing powder, I turned the image on the back side and colored it with my Copic markers. I fussy cut the image and attached it to a white oval which really makes the color pop.
I hope you enjoyed my card and I hope you will check out the other team members blogs to see how they used vellum on their cards.
I made this for a Splitcoast Color Challenge yesterday. Splitcoast is having some problems and I have not been able to get it to upload yet. I like working with the foil paper. After adding the hearts, I think it looks more like a Valentine card than a get well card.
I had fun making this card using the Blue Knight Horse Barn stamp. I loved adding the colorful hot air balloons flying high in the clouds. I colored the image with copics. I used dimensionals to pop up the balloons and the cloud. The sentiment is also from Blue Knight Stamps and it is Mini Greetings 2.
I hope you enjoyed my card as much as I enjoyed making it.
Hope you are having a great week.
Here is a card I made for Art Neko using the "So Many Books So Little Time, Gerbera Daisies Bookmark". My intentions were to emboss it in silver on Navy card stock until the kraft cards stock on my table grabbed my attention. I thought it would be pretty to color the blue flowers on the Kraft and I really do like how it turned out.
Be sure and check out the Art Neko store. They have lots of styles and varieties.
The Ways To Use It challenge
today is to make a card using your favorite stamp. This was a hard one.
Hmmm, do I use my old favorite stamp or my new favorite stamp? I just
received this Blue Knight stamp and it is my new favorite. I think
this porch could be my new favorite place to be, as well.
I used the following Blue Knight Stamp sets, My Quiet Place, Sand Castle & Accessories, Beach Chairs & Accessories and Mini Greetings 2.
Here is a card I made with the Blue Knight image Eagle with Fish. I wanted to keep this a CAS style because the Eagle is just beautiful and it really did not need anything to go with it so I just chose a pretty frame for it. I thought the blue and silver were the perfect colors to compliment the fishing Eagle.
Nothing says Asian better than red and black paper, add some gold paper and gold embossing to make even more of a statement. I mounted my stamped pieces over a dry embossed white panel. I think it helps to make the images pop.
Happy Valentine's Day. I hope love is in the air in your little corner of the world. It is dreary and rainy in mine, but I am sure Cupid is out there somewhere. ~smile~
Yesterday for the Technique Lovers challenge at Splitcoast, the challenge was to do Iris Folding. I have never done Iris folding, but always wanted to. Since I needed a card for Art Neko Rubber Stamps today, I thought it was only appropriate to Iris Fold a Kimono. I used the Art Neko Vertical Text stamp. I stamped Happy on one side and then birthday on the other. I stamped in Versa Mark and then embossed with gold embossing powder.
I hope you enjoyed my card today. Thanks, for coming by today.
I love this Motherhood stamp with the little girl holding Mom's hand while carrying the cute bear in the other hand. I needed a card with just the mom so I only used part of the stamp for my card today.
