Hot Air Balloon Festival

Here is a card I made using Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  The Blue Knight sets that I used are Relaxing at the Beach,  Hot Air BalloonsBeach Chairs and Accessories and Sand Castle and Accessories.  I love hot air balloons and think it would be neat to go to a Balloon Festival sometime.  I did get to take a ride on a hot air balloon with my sister in California and that was fun.

Have a great week and I am happy you came by to take a look at my card today.

The Green Barn

Here is a card I made for the Splitcoast Stampers Ways To Use It Challenge.   I have always wanted to make this barn green so I finally did it.   That is the good thing about creating cards.  You can color the images any color you like.   I think I like the green as well as I like the barn in red.   Next time, I think I will give it a red roof and silo with the green.

I used the Blue Knight Rubber stamp Barn and Silo.    The scripture is from the Bible Verse 2 stamp set and I embossed it in gold.

Thanks, for stopping by today.  I will be back tomorrow with another post.  See you then.

You Will Find Refuge

Good Morning.   I have a card to share today that I made for a friend at church who is going through a difficult time.  I used the "You will Find Refuge" stamp set by Our Daily Bread designs.  This is one of my favorite sets to use when someone is hurting.  When I read this scripture I feel as though God is taking His loving arms and wrapping them around you to provide the comfort you need which will help you get through the things that my be troubling you in life.

I used a ODBD Lacey Square for my frame.  I colored the chickadee with copics.  I used distressed ink to sponged around the image and the sentiment.

Thanks, so much, for coming by today.  Have a wonderful Sunday.

Old Fence on a Country Lane

I have a card to share with you that I made using Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  I used the Country LaneAntique Car, Rear View and the Mini Greetings 1 set.

This card reminds me of a drive in the country on a beautiful spring day.  Now if I just had this vintage car to ride in, that would make the drive even better.

I colored the images with copics and sponged the sky with a cloud template using Bliss Blue ink.

Have a great weekend and I will see you again soon.

Have A Cool Birthday

Good Morning,  Crafty Friends.  It is time for another challenge over at the QKR Stampede Blog.
Today I am using the QKR image Cool Cat #23902.  This image comes in rubber and digital form.
The sentiment was computer generated.

I have no idea why, but I always want to slant my images when I make cards.  I guess it is just the style I like.  I think the slanting gives my card a little pizzazz.

This card is for the QKR blog challenge-anything goes.   You do not have to use QKR images to join us for the challenge.  I hope to see your card uploaded to the challenge.

Thanks, for visiting my blog today.

Weathered Deer Family

Here is a card I made using a Blue Knight Rubber Stamp called "Deer Family".  The Free 4 All challenge on Splitcoast is to use a old background stamp.  I always liked the weathered stamp and it was perfect to use on my masculine card.  I used the ODBD Lacey Square die and added a piece of ribbon.  I used copic markers to color the image.

QKR Stampede - Darn Those Cookies

Hi, I am bringing a card with the QKR Stampede image Santa Stuck in Chimney #16901.  The cute sentiment is Darn Milk and Cookies #16902.   I can definitely sympathize with Santa, those milk and cookies sure don't do much for the waist line.

The QKR stamps come in both digital and rubber.

I colored my image using copic markers.

Sail Away - Leave Your Troubles Behind

Hi, Everyone.   I hope you are having a great week.  I don't know about you, but my week seems to have just flown by.

Today I am sharing a card I made for the Splitcoast Challenge which was to make a sea worthy card.  I used stamps by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  ( Misty Mountains,  Mini Greetings 1 and Beach Chairs and accessories)  I colored the image with copics and did a little sponging on the water.   I used the die Lacey Tiers by Just Rite.

I would love to have used rhinestones or pearls on the die cut, but since it is going to a guy,  I thought I would leave it plain.

When I look at this peaceful view,  it makes me think I might like to sail away and leave my troubles behind.  How about you?

Thanks, so much, for coming by today.

A Lighthouse View

Hi, hope everyone is having a good week.  The temps here have risen and it is a little muggy already this morning.  Up until now the summer had been good to us.  I think we are now going to pay for the nice weather that we had last month.

The card I made today for a color challenge on Splitcoast Stampers was made using a Blue Knight Rubber Stamp called Lighthouse Silhouette.   I used distress inks and used the direct to paper technique.

If you haven't visited Blue Knight Rubber Stamps lately, they have some wonderful new releases.
Follow the link provided and check them out.

Have a great day and stay cool.  I hope to see you again soon.

Blue Knight Antique Vehicles

Here is a card I made for the Splitcoast sketch challenge today.   I changed the main panel on my card and omitted a banner that was to go across the circle.

You probably have guessed that I really love this image since my last post was made with it, as well.  I honestly find it very easy to color.  I usually use three copics when I color images, but only used two on this one (B32 and B34).   I like the way it turned out.

The stamps I used from Blue Knight are Antique Vehicles and it has three stamps in the set.   The sentiment is from the Mini Greetings 1 set.

I used Spellbinders Circle dies and MFT Blueprints 11.

I hope you having a great week and have enjoyed your visit to my blog today.

Father's Day is almost here so it is time to get those cards for Dad in the making.   This Father's Day card was made using the Blue Knight Antique Vehicles.   This set has two classic cars and a air plane.

The sentiment is from the Blue Knight Mini Greeting set.  I used a gear die and layered the sentiment over it.

I used a piece of scrap paper from my scrap bag to give my card some color.  The image was colored with copic markers.

Have a great day and I will see you here again soon.

You Know Where You Go For Lying?

I love this cute little guy crossing his fingers as he tells a white lie.  He just didn't have the heart to say the person really looked 5 years older.   ~smile~  The image is called Fingers Crossed #13518 by QKR Stampede.  The inside of the card says " Honest, you don't look a day over 39".   The sentiment is QKR Stampede Honest #13508.  The designer paper I used  is by Fancy Pants.  The image was colored with copics.

Flourishes - Make a Scene

Hello, Stamping Friends.   It is Shirley posting today with a Friends of Flourishes challenge.  The challenge for this week is to “make a scene”.   Making scenes is one of my favorite things to do when I am making cards.  You can make scenes as simple or as involved as you like.  Today I used a bird image from the Flourishing Endearing Rose Stamp set.  This set is also available in Digital form.  I used a cloud template to make a sky with puffy clouds around the pretty birds sitting on a branch.

Be sure and stop by to visit there other Friends of Flourishes DT blogs.  Take a look at the scenes they have made to share with you.

Blue Knight ~ Under My Umbrella

Today's WT634 challenge: Has everything to do with "u". Or you. Or ewe, etc. There are many choices-- such as umbrella, underwater, universe, etc.   I decided I would use my Blue Knight stamps
Beach Scene Beach Chairs and Accessories and Bible Verse 2.   I sponged the clouds using a scalloped circle template and I colored my accessories using copic markers.  My finishing touch was adding sailboats.

Thank you, for dropping by today.

Blue Knight - Blue Horse Barn

I hope you all are dry and safe this morning.  There has been flooding and tornado's across the United States this weekend.  We have had over 7 inches of rain in the last couple of days and the rain is still coming down.  We are dry where our house is located, but some are dealing with water in their homes.  My prayers are with them.

Here is a card I made using Blue Knight stamps.  The image I used is Horse Barn  and Antique Car-Rear View.   I  colored the image with copics and I used a cloud template to sponge the clouds.  I stamped the car on a card stock, colored it and fussy cut it so I could adhere it to the card.

I am happy you stopped by today and I hope you come back soon.

Blue Knight Praying in the Window

Here is a card I made with the Blue Knight Window in the WallPraying for You and Bible Verse 2 stamps.  I colored the image with copics and punched some flowers for my red vine.   A perfect card for someone going through a rough time.

This is a picture of the actual Window in the Wall stamp.  It is very versatile, you can use the view that is already on the stamp or put anything you like in the window.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you will come back soon.

Friends Of Flourishes - So This Is Easter Eggs

Good Morning, Blogger Friends.   The Friends of Flourishes Design Team challenge for today is anything goes.  I wanted to use the "So...this is Easter" set because it is so cute and  I still need another Easter card.  I had other plans for my layout when I started, but once I colored the image, I decided that the original plan would take away from my card.  I like the CAS look.

The Flourishes blog and store has been under construction and it has taken longer than was planned to complete it.  We apologize for the inconvenience of not being to access them at this time.  They will be up and running soon.

Have a Happy Easter and thank you for stopping in today.  Below are links to the other design team members blogs.

Who Did Your Dye Job???

The CAS challenge theme  for today is "Egg Hunt".   I was happy to see that challenge because I had this un-inked  and fun stamp sitting on my desk to be used.  I really have a hard time doing CAS cards, they are a challenge to me.  (For Real)   I think I will go make a couple more before I tackle some dreaded housework.

Have a great day and I hope you come back real soon.

Flourishes Blog Hop Day Five - So This Is Easter

Today the Flourishes Blog is showing the new release called "So This Is Easter".  I really like roosters so this image is one of my favorites.  I used the Tartan Plaid background stamp,  plaid goes so well with the country rooster.

I appreciate you coming by today.  I hope you can take a look at the Friends of Flourishes design team and the Flourishes Blog to see the other cards made with this set.

Today Flourishes Blog is showcasing cards made with the new "He Is Risen" stamp set.   I used the feathers from this set for my focal point.  I added hearts, a button and gold cording over the two colors of blue feathers. I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Winter Birds stamp set,  with gold embossing powder.   I added a  corner and sequins to complete my card.

Flourishes Day Three Blog Hop - Vintage Easter

Here is the Vintage Easter stamp set that Flourishes is introducing today.   My stamp set got lost in the mail, I presume, and  I do not have a card to share with you.   I hope this cute set finds it's way to my mailbox soon,  I cannot wait to color that cute basket.   Be sure and check out Kren and Toni's cards today.

Flourishes Blog Hop Day Two - Tartan Plaid

This is day two of the Flourishes Blog Hop.  The Tartan Plaid stamp is being showcased today.  I really like this one because when you do not have the color of designer paper to match your card stock, you can stamp your own paper in just the right color.  I love the lavender stamped on the blue card stock so I used the same color combo today.  I also used the tulip from the Flourishes Year of the Flower stamp set.  I wanted to keep my layout simple today so it did not take away from the beautiful plaid background.

If you would like to see more cards made with the Tartan Plaid stamp, check the list below of my team mates who are participating in the hop.  Thanks, for coming by today.
