Frosty Wants A Tan

Frosty aka Tan Frosty which is a QKR Stampede image.   He is desperately seeking to get a tan.   I don't think he has any idea that a tan will cause him to disappear.  I didn't color him with a suntan because I don't want to feel responsible for him melting.   ~grin~

The challenge at the QKR Stampede blog is snowmen or snowflakes.  Come on over and join us for the fun.   There will be a couple of winners chosen for free images.  (details on blog)

QKR- Santa's List

Here is a step card I made using the QKR Stampede Santa's List image.  The sentiment is
"Name Ain't There".   I am sure that is just what Santa would tell me if I asked if my name was there.  ~Smile~

The challenge over at the QKR Stamped blog is Santa themed, this week.  I hope you will come over and join us.

Snow Fun Side Step Card

I made this card for a friend of my daughter's who loves to get letters and cards.  I did a lot of fussy cutting which is not one of my favorite things to do, but know this guy will love it makes it all worthwhile.

The side step card base was made using a Our Daily Bread Designs die.  It sure made that part of the card very easy.

I combined two SU stamp sets and a MFP stamp set to make this card.  It was fun combining them.

Thank you, for stopping by and looking at my card today.

Blue Knight Pink Frosted Tree

Here is a Blue Knight Rubber Stamp called Christmas Bunny.  I used the Frosted Window technique.   I used a frosted vellum, colored on the back and placed over where I had stamped the image on the white card stock.

Thanks,  for stopping by today.

We Fish You a Merry Christmas

Here is a cute Christmas card that is ready to go in the mail.  This is a digi that was already printed out and it says on the back that it is by the Cutting Cafe. I lost this digi with many others when lightening struck my computer several years ago. I think I want to see if this image is still available as I love it.   (Looks like the image is not available)  :)

Blue Knight Evergreen Shaker Card

Here is a card I made using the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Evergreen set.  This set contains three stamps.

It has been a few years since I made a shaker card.  I thought the evergreens would look pretty white embossed on the blue background.  I used clear card stock, foam tape and sequins to make my card.

There are many beautiful cards that have been posted on the Blue Knight Facebook page.  Be sure to check it out next time you are on FB.

This card goes perfectly with the weather we are having.  It got really cold last night and it was 21 when I took Tucker  (my dog) out this morning.  They were calling for snow for tomorrow,  but it may have changed by now.

Thank you,  for stopping by today.  Have a great weekend.

QKR Stampede - Non Traditional Christmas Colors

The QKR Stampede blog challenge for this week is to make a Christmas card using non-traditional colors.  My wreath is colored blue and decorated in pink.  I use this colors a lot on my Christmas cards.  Black and Red are my favorite colors to use.  They make beautiful cards.

The image I used is called "Wreath" and you can find it here.

I hope you will go over to the blog to check out the other cards and to join us for the challenge.

Thanks, so much, for coming by today.

Follow His Star - Silver and White

Here is a card I made using Our Daily Bread Designs Sparkling Star Dies.  I cut the stars out and put silver fol behind them.  I added a few tiny stars to enhance the white card stock.

I need to get several more Christmas cards made,  it is time to start getting them ready to mail.

Thank you, for stopping in today and checking out my card.

Blue Knight Christmas Mailbox

Today I played the color challenge at Splitcoast Stampers.  I am needing Christmas cards so I decided to use two new stamps from Blue Knight Stamps.  I used the Christmas Mailbox set and the added the bunny from the Christmas Bunny set.

I personalized the mailbox.   I decided to use a short name instead of a long one.   You know, it was less chance to mess it up.  ~grin~

Thanks, for looking at my card.

Nuts and Bolts of Farming

I made this card for the Technique Lovers Challenge on Splitcoast Coast Stampers today.  The technique is called monchrome pencil.  I used my Prisma Pencils to color the cute Tractor set from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  This set has three different size tractors in it. (3 Images Size - 3 3/4 X 2 1/4, 2 1/2 X 1 1/2, 1 1/4 X 3 all for $13.99)  I will get a lot of use from this set.

Thank you, for dropping by today.

QKR Stampede - Angels

Wow,  it is time for another challenge over at the QKR Stampede Blog.  The challenge theme is "Angels".   I used the "Dancing Angel" image for my card.   Isn't she adorable?   I haven't done paper piecing in a while and decided it was a perfect technique to make this gal look even cuter.

There are a lot of cute images in the QKR-Stamp On It Store.  They come in both digital and rubber.

Be sure and come over to the blog to see the cute cards my team mates have made.  You can also join us for the challenge if you like.  You would have a chance to win digital images.

Thanks,  for stopping by today.

Stormy Sky

I have been having fun using the Blue Knight stamp set called "Flying South".   I prepared a stormy sky for it using distress inks on water color paper.   I added the "Silhouette Lighthouse" which I thought was perfect with my sky.   Since the sky looks a little scary,  I chose to use the scripture stamp from the Bible Verse 2 set.  I can see a sky like this making one afraid.

Thanks, for taking a look at my card.  See you again soon.

Blue Knight - Evergreens

Here is a card I made using Blue Knight Rubber Stamps "Evergreens".   I really love the detail the trees have.   I tore paper to make a mask for the sky and sponged around it. Stamped the trees over the sponged sky.   I used a handsome hunter ink to stamp my trees.

Blue Knight has just released some really AWESOME stamps.   Be sure to go and take a look at them Here

I am enjoying the Fall weather we are having.  Last night we had a weiner roast and chili.  We had family and friends over.  We had a great time.   I hope to do another one before it gets too cold.  It is hard to believe that October is almost gone and it went so fast.

You all have a great week.  Watch out for the broom riders, they get a little crazy this time of the
year.  :)

Hope you all are having a great weekend.

QKR Stampede - Broom Parking 50 cents

Today starts a new challenge for the QKR Stampede blog  and the theme is "Pumpkins".   I used the QKR image "Parked" for my card.  I colored the image with Copics and sponged clouds in the sky.  The sentiment is computer generated.  And "yes" that is my broom.   ~smile~

Ms. Dot - The Crazy Lampshade Lady

The challenge over at Splitcoast today was about the "eyes" for World Sight Day.  I looked through some of my images that have been in a bagand I chose this  (Squigglefly) image that I colored a long time ago and it was never made into a card.  When I saw this image, I knew it was perfect for a quick card by adding some Halloween eyes to her lampshade.  I have no idea what Ms. Dot has in her glass, but I say tomorrow she won't be feeling so well. :)

An older friend once told me that I have an "Off the Wall" sense of humor so I guess this is where I apologize for being so corny.  :)

How- Ya Doing?

The Splitcoast Color Challenge this week had awesome colors to work with.   I couldn't resist making a card for this challenge.

I love this stamp set by Sugar Pea. Since it was an Autumn set, I kept telling myself "no", you don't need it.   (I have lots of Autumn sets that do not get used)  Self did not listen and ordered it. :)  "Self is so in trouble".   LOL

Hope you enjoyed my card today.

Pet Sympathy

My friend, Melody, recently had to say goodbye to one of her basset hounds.  She loves her dogs like I do and has taken it really hard.  I made this card for her using the Our Daily Bread Designs Pet Sympathy stamps.   I love the paper I used, but it was a scrap and I cannot tell you the name of it.  The black heart embellishments were made with a stamp from this set.  I used clear embossing powder on them to achieve a shine and to make it thicker, but not thick enough that it required additional postage.

I hope you enjoyed my card today and I hope Melody likes it when it arrives in her mailbox today.

Saying Goodbye To Summer

Wow, I didn't realize it had been this long since I posted last.  I have had a really busy schedule lately.  Lots of appointments and I had a couple of grand-babies here last week.

I made this card using Blue Knight Rubber Stamps "Relaxing on the Beach".  Saying goodbye to summer is always hard, especially if you own beachfront property and I do not.  :(   I still hate to see summer go even though we are having very humid weather right now. It won't last long and the onset of winter will begin.

I bought a box of MS eyelet cards on a clearance rack a few years ago and had not used them. I actually bought them for the envies because they were so cheap, but today I decided to use one of the cards.

Thanks, for looking and have a wonderful Wednesday also known as hump day. (half way through the week)

Tissue Water Coloring Technique

I saw this challenge last night, on Splitcoast Stampers,  to do the tissue water coloring technique. I got up this morning and watched a video by Loll Thompson demonstrating this technique, then I started messing. I say messing because I make big messes to clean up. Loll didn't have this problem on her end. :) While I was busy messing, I just tried a couple products to see what I liked best. I used Distress inks and Ken Oliver Color Bursts. I like the brighter color I got from the color bursts, but the distress inks work well, also. I added gold embossing powder over three coats of the distress ink for today's card. I stenciled my distress inks using the same colors on my white card stock for the background panel. I now wish I had made the background a little darker, but at the time, I was afraid it would take away from my cups.

Now I am off to put up all of the products that I have pulled out and left on my craft table. So let the fun begin. :)

Hope you all have a great week.

Blue Knight - Island Lighthouse and Birds

I needed another card of encouragement so I pulled out this Island Lighthouse image by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  I colored it with copics and used a cloud template to sponge in the blue puffy clouds.  I added the birds using Blue Knight's Birds 2 stamp.  My sentiment is computer generated.  The plaid paper I used came from a Graphic 45 paper pad.

Once again,  thank you for coming by to visit today.

QKR Stampede - Sun Path Border

It is Friday and that means it is time for another challenge over at the QKR Stampede Blog.  This week the theme is anything goes.

I purchased this stamp, Sun Path Border, to use for Bible Journaling.   I always like to color my image for a project before I actually stamp it on a page in my Bible.   The QKR Store has many other border stamps that are perfect for Bible Journaling.

The sentiment is computer generated.  I thought it went perfect with image.

Thank you, for coming by.  Have a fun and safe weekend.

Blue Knight - Lake Pier

Hello,  friends.    Hope all is okay with you.  I have been watching Hurricane Irma as she creates much havoc in Florida. She is so powerful.  I feel so bad for the residents.  They have so much work to do  getting things reconstructed and cleaning up the debris.  My heart goes out to them.

The card I made today was made using a stamp from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps - Lake Pier.  I colored the image with copic markers.  I used Spellbinders and Little B's circle dies to make the my circle frame.  I added some decorative corner and rhinestones as the finishing touch.

Thank you,  for visiting my blog and I hope to see you again soon.

You Rock

Here is a card I made for the Splitcoast Free 4 All challenge.  The theme was "the 70's".   I used a red, black and white color combo so it would be eligible for the MIX challenge,  as well.  The stamps are Inkadinkado Rock Star.   I embossed the sentiment and I used a Spellbinders long rectangle die set.  I added three silver stars to complete my card.

Leopards and One Spoiled Boxer Girl

Hi, Everyone.   It sure is starting to feel like Fall in my little corner of the world.  The days are cool, usually around 70 degrees and the nights are actually chilly.  Won't be long I will be pulling out sweaters, sweatshirts and boots.

I hope and pray that everyone in the path of hurricane Irma will be safe.  She looks mighty powerful and I keep praying she will slow down.

I have two cards to share with you today.  One is especially near and dear to my heart.  Those who know anything about me know that my love for Boxer dogs really runs deep.

This card was made using a Rubber Hedge Hog stamp that was made from a picture of my first boxer, Savannah Rose.  Oh,  Ms Savannah was a spoiled little gal and a very stubborn girl, at that.  So stubborn she flunked out of  obedience training.  Thanks, to her I knew that with the next five boxers that I should obedience train them early in life.  Because of her, the others were all exceptionally good dogs.  Savannah may have been spoiled, but she was very loved and she was beautiful.  We lost her in 2007 and we were devastated.  Rubber Hedge Hog has a contest and I entered her picture in that contest.  She was one of the winners and Rubber Hedge Hog made this stamp from her picture.

Today the challenge theme at Splitcoast is "Oldies, but Goodies".  We were to use a favorite older stamp.  I chose this stamp because it is near and dear to my heart.  It was made in 2007.

My second card was made using a My Favorite Things "Loveable Leopards".  I thought this was such a cute set and I really tried to talk myself out of buying it,  but all of you stampers know how hard that is to do.  ~grin~   I started this card for the sketch challenge on Splitcoast.  I stamped my  main image  and then curved my sentiment on my block to stamp it on my card.  Once I stamped it,  I had an after thought.  I needed a birthday card for my friend, Shelly.    I created the sentiment with my computer, I know it is corny, but that was all I could think of at that moment to make it a birthday card.  I used my cloud template to cut it out and then I sponged around the edges to tie it in with my blue sky.  The panel behind the little leopard is wall paper.  The die I used behind the leopard is by MFT-Wonky Circles.

I hope I haven't been too chatty today, I usually try to keep it simple so I don't bore you all,  too much.  :)

Thanks, for coming by and come back tomorrow to see a cute Cheetah card.

Wild West Challenge

The QKR Stampede Challenge blog has a new challenge up today and the twist is "Wild West".  You do not have to use a QKR image to play this challenge.

I colored my little Cowboy #14303  with copics  I used white acrylic paint to make the dots on his bandana.  I added a banner in the upper left corner and added a silver star.    The paper I used was scraps that was in my stash.

Thank you, for stopping by.  Have a fun and safe Labor Day Weekend.

Ruffled Feathers

Here is a card I made using a Flourish Stamp set called 'Tweeting Friends".   I love this set and the sentiment is so cute.  I suppose I will have to ruffle some feathers with someone so I have an excuse to send it.  ~Grin~

I colored my image using copic markers.  I fussy cut the birds and attached them to the stitched oval.  I think it made them pop a little more.

The Stitched Oval and  Lacey Square dies I used are by Our Daily Bread Designs.  The small ovals are by Spellbinders.

Thank you, for joining me today.  I hoped you liked my card.  Come back on Friday and I will have another one for you.  I will be using a cute little western owl, you won't want to miss it.

National Bow Tie Day

It is National Bow Tie Day.  How about that?  Did you know there was such a day?   I sure didn't, but I would hate not to celebrate it now that I know about it. ~smile~  Actually this card is for the CAS challenge on Splitcoast to make a card with a bow.  I used the Stampin' Up Dapper Dad stamp set.  I pulled out my Score Pal to make some lines on the white shirt.  (I hope you can see them)  I have oodles of black rhinestones so I added them to the shirt instead of buttons.

I have a friend who sends birthday cards to her clients, I thought I would make up a couple to send her way.  She is always looking for cute, but quick and easy cards to make for them.  I think I will make the next one in turquoise.

Thank you, for stopping by today.

Barn Gate with Hot Air Balloon

How relaxing to be sitting on the fence in the barnyard watching hot air balloons fly over with a cold glass of lemonade in your hand!   It sounds good to me.  Things seem to be too busy these days.  We need to take time to drink the lemonade.

I am loving this new stamp by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps called Barnyard Gate.  I  colored the image using copics then I used a cloud template to make the fluffy clouds.   I stamped and colored the hot air balloons.  I fussy cut them and added them to my scene. The Hot Air Balloons is also by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  I love hot air balloons so you will be seeing a lot of this stamp.

I hope you have some wonderful plans for the weekend.  The weekend weather is fabulous here.  The days are perfect with 75-80  degrees in the day and the nights are cool.  Makes me want to sit by the fire pit roasting marshmallows.

Thanks, for stopping by.   Have fun weekend and stay safe.

The Green Barn

Here is a card I made for the Splitcoast Stampers Ways To Use It Challenge.   I have always wanted to make this barn green so I finally did it.   That is the good thing about creating cards.  You can color the images any color you like.   I think I like the green as well as I like the barn in red.   Next time, I think I will give it a red roof and silo with the green.

I used the Blue Knight Rubber stamp Barn and Silo.    The scripture is from the Bible Verse 2 stamp set and I embossed it in gold.

Thanks, for stopping by today.  I will be back tomorrow with another post.  See you then.

You Will Find Refuge

Good Morning.   I have a card to share today that I made for a friend at church who is going through a difficult time.  I used the "You will Find Refuge" stamp set by Our Daily Bread designs.  This is one of my favorite sets to use when someone is hurting.  When I read this scripture I feel as though God is taking His loving arms and wrapping them around you to provide the comfort you need which will help you get through the things that my be troubling you in life.

I used a ODBD Lacey Square for my frame.  I colored the chickadee with copics.  I used distressed ink to sponged around the image and the sentiment.

Have A Cool Birthday

Good Morning,  Crafty Friends.  It is time for another challenge over at the QKR Stampede Blog.
Today I am using the QKR image Cool Cat #23902.  This image comes in rubber and digital form.
The sentiment was computer generated.

I have no idea why, but I always want to slant my images when I make cards.  I guess it is just the style I like.  I think the slanting gives my card a little pizzazz.

This card is for the QKR blog challenge-anything goes.   You do not have to use QKR images to join us for the challenge.  I hope to see your card uploaded to the challenge.

Thanks, for visiting my blog today.

Sail Away - Leave Your Troubles Behind

Hi, Everyone.   I hope you are having a great week.  I don't know about you, but my week seems to have just flown by.

Today I am sharing a card I made for the Splitcoast Challenge which was to make a sea worthy card.  I used stamps by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  ( Misty Mountains,  Mini Greetings 1 and Beach Chairs and accessories)  I colored the image with copics and did a little sponging on the water.   I used the die Lacey Tiers by Just Rite.

I would love to have used rhinestones or pearls on the die cut, but since it is going to a guy,  I thought I would leave it plain.

When I look at this peaceful view,  it makes me think I might like to sail away and leave my troubles behind.  How about you?

Thanks, so much, for coming by today.

The card I made today for a color challenge on Splitcoast Stampers was made using a Blue Knight Rubber Stamp called Lighthouse Silhouette.   I used distress inks and used the direct to paper technique.

If you haven't visited Blue Knight Rubber Stamps lately, they have some wonderful new releases.
