QKR Stampede - Christmas in July

Hi, it is time for another challenge  over at the QKR Stampede blog.  This week the theme is Christmas in July.  I used the QKR image Cowboy Christmas #22303.   I believe this cowboy has roped himself a Christmas tree.  I colored the image with copics.  I used white acrylic paint and a stylist to make the dots on the bandana.  I thought it would make it look like an Osh Kosh brand.

Come over to the QKR Stampede blog to see the other team member's cards.  I hope you will upload your Christmas in July cards while you are there.

Have safe and fun 4th of July weekend.

It Is Called ICU

It is time for another challenge over at the QKR Stampede blog.    I always have so much fun with the QKR Images,   they are just the cutest.   Today I used the Sneaking Away bear image #13310 and the sentiment is computer generated.  I am sure he is creating quite a commotion running down the hospital hallways.  I think the recipient of this card will get a giggle out of this.  They will also get a free tip of making sure their gown is closed before walking the halls.

I love paper piecing and I hope you do, also.  You can make your own paper pieced card and upload on the blog to enter the challenge this week.

Thanks, for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend.

Eureka Here Comes the Bride

The challenge for the Eureka blog this week is "Here Comes The Bride".   I chose to use a red, white and black color combo with the Zebra Pair #8404

I used the Spellbinder's Lacey Heart dies to showcase the zebra's.  I also used a  Cheery Lynn Horizon Fishtail Banner.  The sentiment is computer generated.

I hope you can make a card to enter in our challenge this week.  If you do, you just might be the lucky winner of some Eureka digital stamps.

Thanks, for taking a look at my blog today.  Have a great day.

Half Cracked Husband

The blog challenge for the QKR Stampede is to make a card with either real or faux stitching or quilting.  I used my top note die because it has the stitching around the frame.  I used the QKR image.  I used the Carpenter image #13905.  The carpenter's jeans have stitching on them so this was a perfect image for the challenge.

I had to laugh as I was making this card, it sure reminds me of someone I know.  This was a fun card to make,  I like it when they make me giggle as I make them.

Here we are at the end of another week.  Have a wonderful weekend.

Cowboy Cole

I made this card for the Ways To Use It challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers.  I just received this stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs.   The image looks so much of my grandson.  He use to rodeo when he was little and this definitely could pass for his picture.

It has been a long time since I made a center side step card so I decided to cut a few of them today so I would have extra for the next time I want to make one.

I had tons of things on my list to do today, but card making won over it.  I bet that never happens to you, does it?  :)

It is really hot here today.  One thermometer says 99 and the one on the front porch says 100.  If it is that hot where you are today, please try to stay indoors and keep cool.

I will be back tomorrow with another card.

I entered this in the Our Daily Bread Challenge.

For The Guys

Hi, I hope you all  had a great weekend.  We had a really good one, but it went way too fast.  We actually did not have any rain, but the temps have been around 80 to 95 degrees and it has been muggy.  I like warm weather, but the humidity is not my friend.

The Eureka challenge this week is "For The Guys".   I have been wanting to color this little fawn
(#13106) for a while now and this is the perfect challenge to use it.

I used scraps from my Authentique paper pad.     It is amazing how many scraps one can accumulate while making cards.  I am trying to do better and use some of them as I go.  The fawn was colored with copics.  I added some fringe on the side.  I trimmed it down and used a brown marker to make it darker than it's original color.

I hope you can join us for the Eureka challenge this week. Be sure and check out my team mates cards.

Thanks,  for stopping by and have a great week.

For The Guys- Some Like It Hot

The challenge at QKR Stampede this week has a theme of "For The Boys".   I chose to use the
"Enjoying The Sun Bear" -#8401.  This furry guy is a super cool dude.  I think he has been chilling here at the beach for several hours.  I think it is time for him to pack up and go home, he is starting to get a little red, I suppose he forgot his sunscreen.  ~grin~

Be sure and cruise over to the Blog and see what the other gals have made for today.    Hopefully you will be inspired and join us for the challenge.

Work of Art cards

The last two or three weeks have been really hectic so I have not had much time for card making.  It is my week to host the Free 4 All challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers so I knew I had to come up with something that was quick.   When I am stressed, I don't come up with the ideas I need so I let Pinterest help me out.   I am glad that I did.  I love these cards, I just wish I had come up with the ideas on my own.   ~smile~   Finding them  gave me a chance to use the Work of Art stamp set which I think I have only used once or twice.  I think that I will use the Snowman card for my Christmas cards this year.

Hope you enjoyed my cards and thank you for coming by.
