CCEE1141-Celebrate Columbus Day

The CCEE Challenge for this week was to make a card that related to Columbus day which we celebrated this week. I have had these stamps for a long while, but had never used them. I know you don't usually see a sailboat in a bottle, but it was the only ship I had besides a cruise ship. It was hard getting a good picture of the card. The sponging is darker than picture is showing. If you would like to join us for this challenge, go to CCEE Stampers Blog for the details or to view the other team members cards.

Thanks, for stopping by.

  1. Holy mackeral, Shirley - what a super creative card!! Love the antique look and the great "ship in the bottle" . Though I am sure Columbus' 3 ships were bigger than this sailboat, I LOVE how you took this idea and RAN with it!!

Five big anchors and a Yo Ho HO for this card!! Love it!! Your mojo is on FIRE!!

  4. This is beautiful! I love your Light House on your other blog too. I love anything to do with boats and light houses. You left a comment on my blog, so I am leaving one on yours. I see your name is Shirley. So now I know how to address you. Yesterday, it might have been after you left your post on my blog, and before I saw your Light House card, I posted a picture of a Pointillism Light House drawing I did. Anyway, keep up the great work. Hugs, Francine
