The challenge for the CCEE stampers this week was to use a school theme. I colored this Squigglefly Shy Bear image and had no idea where I was going next with my card. I grabbed my scrap bags and started digging for paper, this is what I came up with. I know you are probably wondering how I ever passed Home Economics with this sewing. Actually I am wondering that too. ~grin~ Believe it or not, I actually made myself dresses in Home Ec and not one of them fell off of me due to defective sewing like the sewing that is displayed here. What do you think of my Faux tag? I thought it was nice for something different. I hope you have enjoyed seeing my Shy Bear - Just a note card. We would love for you to play along with our challenge and don't forget to take a peek at what the team members have made for this challenge over at CCEE Stampers Blog.
Thanks, for taking a look today.

ReplyDeleteOh, your Shy Bear is too cute and I love your faux tag.
ReplyDeleteJust such a great card for the back-to-school challenge.
Don't even talk about stitching...my sis gave me a new sewing machine for using on my cards and I have one stitched card. LOL
Such a cute little bear!!! Love the card style too!
ReplyDeleteToo cute! And your sewing is just fine.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adorable card - love your stitching - looks just fine to me, Shirley! I told you you had a gold mine in your paper stash - look how wonderfully those go together!! Shy Bear looks like he needs some help with his pencil handling - LOL!!HUGS
ReplyDeleteI think this is "sew" cute Shirley. I love the messy stitching, it just adds to the hand crafted look. You picked some great colors. I especially like how you used a circle behind the image panel and made it look like it's part of the tag.
ReplyDeletewhat a perfect image for this week's challenge ....fun and def. school inspired
ReplyDeleteWell, Girlfriend, your stitching is by far better than what I can do! Jim bought me a new Singer sewing machine before Christmas last year and I have yet to try it out - not a clue even how to turn it on! I was excited to try and learn how to stitch on a card - and the only thing I'm doing is dusting off the dust cover! Anyway, back to your adorable card - I love Shy Bear - and he's colored wonderfully. Your faux tag is an awesome idea and looks grand!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for playing along with us this week for the Pile It On "I Spy Something With A “P”” with us! Just loved your card, and hope to see you back here next week!

I always love to see Shy Bear when you bring him out :D. I've loved the cards you make with him since way back. Love your clever tag, especially the paper you used for the circle.
ReplyDeleteI was so BORED in sewing class in school - I made my first skirt and vest when I was 6 and never looked back, so having to make a little gingham smock type thing 7 years later did not impress me at all. I hate trying to get corners right on paper though, it's much less forgiving than fabric!
Love your tag! Thanks so much for playing along with us at MarkerPop.com! I hope you join us again this week :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sami
