Since October is Breast Cancer awareness month and the color for that is
PINK, the
Paper Cupcake/There' Magic in the Air Design team decided to make cards for this occasion and Nina drew up a special image for it. You can find this image over at the
Paper Cupcake store. I really liked the simplicity of this card so I did not add a lot of extras, the rick rack was gifted to me by my friend Kathy and I think it was perfect to wrap up my card. I contemplated coloring the paper wrapper on the cupcake, but decided that would take away from it. Our cards are suppose to be made with 75% of the card being pink. If you do, Nina will put your name in the drawing twice for a chance to win a free Paper Cupcake image. Since we all have either had breast cancer affect us or someone we know so how about joining us for this challenge. I am happy to say I am a 17 year breast cancer survivor, no wonder I like pink.
Thanks, for stopping by.
Beautiful and elegant card, Girlfriend! The pretty DP sets of the image perfectly! Your coloring is wonderful! I love this pretty card!!
ReplyDeleteYour card is beautiful, as usual. You always do such good work. I'm also happy about your 17 year (and counting...) survival. I was there 17 years ago, and I know you had some hard times, then. I'm so proud of you.
ReplyDeleteLove the all pink card - so YOU!! Love how you finished this polka dotted BG with the scalloped trim around the cupcake image and the rick rack along the bottom!
ReplyDeleteSo grateful for your 17 years and counting of being a survivor - don't know where I would be without your friendship!! LYM
