Here is the last Speedy Fox Challenge for 2012. We have been challenged to use tissue paper. My first thought was to do this shopping bag with tissue paper and then I realized how perfect it would be to pair it up with the "You've Got Style" stamp set, that was just released last week over at Mark's Finest Paper. Once I got my bag done, I decided the bag would look cute with a tissue paper flower.
This is the first one I have ever made and it was pretty fun. I like how it fluffs up so easily. Please come over to our blog and play along with us this week. Someone always wins a nice stamp set. You do not have to use Mark's Finest Paper stamps, but your name will be entered in the drawing twice if you do.
I am wishing you all a very Happy New Year. What is the tradition in your area for cooking on New Years day for prosperity? Ours is to cook beans so our menu usually consists of corned beef, beans, fried potatoe's and cabbage.
Happy New Year to you too dear Shirley ! I love your card ! The way you have used the tissue paper is so clever ! I love the paper piecing too ! Have a lovely week-end Sweetie ! Hugs, blessings and love from Catherine
ReplyDeleteJust too cute!! Fun colors & design.
ReplyDeleteCute idea. Love the paper piecing.
ReplyDeleteShirley, This is gorgeous!!! I love the colors you chose and that cute little flower on the bag is so sweet! I made my first tissue paper flower too!!!
ReplyDeleteHey Girlfriend,
ReplyDeleteThis is the most adorable shopping bag ever! You used the tissue paper perfectly - because that's what I think of when I think of tissue paper! Your card is so pretty and happy!!
LOVE how you did up your shopping bag, Shirley - great paired up with the purse, and that cool sentiment!! the pink and blue together looks superb!
ReplyDeleteFor New Year's we cook pork and sauerkraut for luck in the coming year. I usually go to a friend's and the 4 of us (who went to Alaska together a few years ago) play cards all afternoon and have dinner together!
Happy New Year, Sis!
How cute and creative. Very nicely done!
ReplyDeleteWell you were right, that purse is perfect with that bag and you have all those after Christmas Sales just waiting for you, lol. This is so adorable.
ReplyDeleteI am going to be home on New Years, so if I am home, then I cook no matter what day it is, lol. I might make a 7 bean soup with the hamhock from Christmas, that sounds good. I'll toast up some sour dough bread to go with it and there is still plenty of junk around here to eat our sweets. lol.
