Today the CCEE Stampers have a new challenge posted and it is to follow a recipe of 1 square, 1 circle and 2 designer papers. Once you use those ingredients, the sky is the limit, add anything you like. I used, a soon to be released, image from Mark's Finest Paper called "Show Off". I happened to see this paper at Hobby Lobby and was not particularly fond of it, but thought it might work with this new set.
Once I got my peacock and the blue/black designer paper with it, I really like it. I was afraid it would be another one of those papers in my collection that would never be used. I bet there isn't anyone else in blog land that does that. ~grin~
The blue spiral piece was some thick wire that was on my grandson's prom butoniere a couple of years ago. Sometimes when you keep something long enough you find a way to use it.
Thanks, for stopping in today and I hope you will join us at the CCEE blog for this challenge.
WOW ! This is gorgeous Shirley ! The background paper is just perfect and the image is really beautiful ! Hugs, blessings and love from Catherine
ReplyDeleteFeathers seem to be really hot at the moment, so I'm sure you'll get great use from the paper! It's a great setting for your peacock - and the metallic spiral is a perfect accent, too. The plain black and white with blue colour scheme is so dramatic, I love it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great creation!!! Love how you colored that bird!!!
ReplyDeleteShirley, your dark circle really made that peacock pop. The paper is just perfect. Oh, let's don't talk about paper we purchase and never buy...I have sooooo much.

I see we had much the same idea this morning -- with that peacock and peacock feather paper. I like how you just colored the tail and crown feathers. And I've got paper I will NEVER use! They seemed like such a good idea at the time.
