I made this card for the Splitcoast Mixed Media challenge this week and the Free 4 All challenge.
The Free 4 All challenge was to add something postal to our cards so I added the gold embossed stamp. The mixed challenge was to add a wild life adventure.
I used my gelli plate and acrylic paints to make the background with a stencil. I added Heide Swapp Spray Shine over the acrylic paints.
The giraffe is an older stamp by Mark's finest paper called "African Veld".
Fabulous card Shirley! Love the background and the added postage stamp is perfect!

What an awesome background you created to with the giraffe! I always think giraffes are such a majestic creature with their long graceful necks :)
ReplyDeleteWow, Shirley, the spectrum of your creative genius!! This gelli plate BG made a terrific "jungle-y" type background for your giraffe - even the colors remind me of a safari!!! I can only imagine the Shiny spray, and the embossed postage stamp bringing it all to life! Really a fabulous card!
ReplyDeleteHello Shirley,

Really cute, and you are reminding that I need to get out my gelli plate. I purchased on at a quilt show last fall and still have not tried it yet. You have inspired me...
