I made this Asian card for a technique lovers challenge on Splitcoast Stampers. Sabrina had a tutorial for us to make Asian lanterns. All you need to do this is to have oval or round punches and a crimper. I used Art Neko Handmade Paper on the lanterns. I used gold paper for the scalloped circle. The image came from one of Art Neko Coin Envelopes. I used an oval die to cut this cute boy out of the center of the bag. I added the die cut gold Birthday Wishes for the finishing touch.
I want to wish each one of you a very Happy New Year. Stay safe. See you next year.
What a cute image and the lanterns add the finishing touch to this card! I did see another paper lantern at SCS today but I didn't realize it was part of a challenge. TFS!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea with the boy image, Shirley. You made it into a wonderful birthday card!
ReplyDeleteLove how you worked this challenge to the "nth" degree! The gold makes both your image and the sentiment pop and those adorable Chinese lanterns are the best embellishment ever!! I will have to get my crimper out!!
ReplyDeleteLove the image and the lanterns
