Today I am sharing a couple of cards with you that I made using the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps new release Climbing Cat. You will like this stamp even if you are not a cat lover. I will let you see for yourself.
I stamped my image on the card stock using the stamp platform. I colored the image using Copic Markers. I used the Heidi Pettie Cloud Stencil to sponge turquoise ink on the sky to create the puffy clouds.
My second card was a challenge the BKRS design team members were given to make a 6 X 6 card. I have to say that when I started this card, I wasn't sure where it was going, but I was pretty happy with the results of my first 6 X 6 card. .
I stamped my image and colored the it with Copics. I sponged the sky using the Day & Knight Pan Pastel Palette. I cut the kitten out using a heart template. You will want to cut around his tail and his paw and place it over the die so it does not cut them off. I did not think ahead and I had to use adhesive to reattach them because I thought the image looked better with them attached. I cut the layering heart next. I, then, cut a square piece of card stock that matched the colors in my sky around the kitten. I added a darker layer of card stock behind it and added some designer paper behind it before adhering it to the card base.
Thanks, so much, for stopping by today.
These are so sweet. I love that kitten and you have done a nice job with it. A 6x6 card would be a challenge for me too!
ReplyDeleteBoth beautiful cards and love the climbing cat stamp-looks just like a younger version of one of mine lol-I always make 6" square unless they are shaped ones

What an adorable image!!! Love the way you have framed it out in both cards, but the one inside the heart !really captured my heart! I never make 6x6 cards for a number of reasons, but I have to applaud the way this one turned out, with the polka dotted layer! Kudos to you, my Friend!
ReplyDeleteI am loving you make 2 cards the same but with different colouring, what a great difference in both and fabulous too.

What a cute stamp. Great coloring on it.
ReplyDeleteThat cat scene is so cute. I love both ways you used it.
ReplyDeleteI love how you have shown this new adorable cat stamp image in two completely different ways. Thank you for the wonderful inspiration x.
ReplyDeleteTwo fabulous cards! Like the leaves and clouds with the darling cat in the first one and the way you framed the cat with a heart is so cute - got a chuckle out of your post on reattaching the tail and paw!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness is this precious, he looks just like my cat, although my little guy has never been outside in a tree!
