The challenge for the CCEE Stampers and Squigglefly was to make a spring card with a scene, flowers, etc.. The Twisted Sister Challenge was to use atleast two different spellbinders, add buttons, brads or charms, ribbon and twine were optional. Check out the CCEE Stampers blog for details of their challenge and see the other team members cards.
I chose a Squigglefly digital image to use on this challenge and colored it with copics. I used the Fleur Di Lis motif and circle spellbinders.
We had a horrendous tornado here early this morning. We were lucky and did not have any damage at our house. There was a considerable amount of damage on the other side of town and at least 6 fatalities. It is so sad to see all that people have lost including loved ones. My prayers are with each an everyone of them.
Thanks, so much, for stopping by and taking a look at my card.

What a pretty card! I love the blue and yellow together like you have it here. Sunflowers are so pretty and the whole image is cut. The sunflower paper is beautiful. Great card!
ReplyDeleteI am glad that you did not have any damage or loss and I pray that the other people affected by that tornado are comforted.
I heard about the tornado on BBC World Service some time in the night when I was awake, but haven't heard it mentioned at all on the news this morning, so I was going to look for some information and make sure I hadn't dreamt it. It sounded terrible, I'm glad you're alright.
ReplyDeleteSunflowers in spring - I wish :D. Love your bug and button.
The storms you got were expected to be here, but they went a bit north of us. I heard about all the damage on the news the next morning. I'm glad you are okay Shirley!
ReplyDeleteYour card is so pretty! I love the blues and yellow together and the flowers are the perfect compliment to the flowers in the image. Great coloring too! Thanks for playing in Squigglefly's challenge!
Shirley, I'm so sorry about those tornadoes. We were expecting bad weather yesterday but it didn't develop. Of course, I know it is only a matter of time. After last year and the terrible tornadoes in AL, we are all a bit on edge. I'm so glad you were o.k. and without injury or damage.
ReplyDeleteYour card is so, so cute with the fun image. I had a smile when I saw it. Great job on the Spring scene. That's the prettiest 'house' I've seen. LOL
Nothing says Spring like an outhouse! thanks for the giggle, Shirt!!
ReplyDeleteBlue and yellow - what a happy combination, especially that BG blue plaid!! This image is just too adorable - wonder why sunflowers grow so WELL around outhouses - heheh - ask Tosh! Love those sweet corners and the nesties, brads, and ribbon! You sure did a great job sneaking in all those challenges on one card - you da WO-MAN!!
ReplyDeleteI was so relieved last night to learn from Jo that you and yours were spared from the horrendous damage of the tornado, Shirt! So sad about the fatalities.
ReplyDeleteYour pretty card automatically made me think of Miss Toshy-pooh with that lovely outhouse.
PRETTY PRETTY, great colors!!~
ReplyDeleteI love the cute little "facilities" house in blue much better than the brown I colored it. The blue is much prettier and much more stylish. If you have an outhouse - it should be stylish. All the flowers are pretty around it and the awesome clouds - which I still can't do - even with your template. I am cloud challenged - let's face it! Very pretty card - and awesome coloring!
ReplyDeletelove this Shirley, so glad you were safe from the tornado!
ReplyDeleteWhat is a Squigglefly?????? I love love love that outhouse. My sons built one down back of our property here in rural upstate NY and I try and find stamps that I can buy to make creations for them. Where can I get it? Your card is fantastic and I just joined your blog. Glad I found u. ekc
ReplyDeleteSquigglefly is digital images. They have some really nice ones and reasoanably priced. If I had your email address I could tell you about other outhouse stamps. Thanks, for joining my blog. I don't know how you found me, but glad that you did.
