It is time for another Speedy Fox and Friends challenge. We have been challenged to make a back to school card. School time means the students must be ready for the reddin', ritin', and ritmatic'. Right? We all know that those teachers have the blackboards scrubbed and ready write on. Now the students have to bring their nice teacher an apple to make up for anything bad they might do on this day as well as have their school accessories ready to use. Do you see that eraser in the top corner? Don't repeat this, but I think my mom must have had to buy these by the case with all the mistakes I made. ~grin~
I thought this idea of the blackboard was a great idea. I can't claim credit for it as I saw one my Stampin' Up demo made. The stamps I used today are Mark's Finest Paper "Lesson Learned".
The eraser, scissors and pencil are not stamped images, they are clip art.
Come on down to the Speedy Fox blog and join us for our challenge. Thanks, for dropping by to visit today.

ReplyDeleteFun back to school card! Love the chalkboard! Great card. Hugz!
ReplyDeleteYou are too clever, Shirt - making your card to look like a blackboard from the good old days - all those brand new Lesson Learned stamps are the best ever for this - and I loved your story about the erasers too! Great card! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I am loving this most adorable card - you are so very creative! It also brings back memories. There were walled blackboards and portable blackboards (such as yours) all through grade school and high school. Now in gradeschool - I had a green/navy plaid skirt and navy blazer for uniform and in high school - all navy skirt/jackets as uniforms - and whenever I would take out the erases to clean them (everyone had to take turns) - smacking them togerther - I looked like I had bleached them! Fortunately, we had a uniform skirt/jacket for each day - because the dry cleaners always had a couple each week.
ReplyDeleteI see we had much the same idea this week. I like how you decorated your chalkboard with little do-dads! Very cute.
ReplyDeleteOMGosh this is so super cute! I love it. The scissors, Apples, Eraser and pencil are perfect accents. So cute.
ReplyDeleteLovely card - so cute and I love that stand for sure - I will have to check out that tutorial - you did a nice job! Gail MFP DT
