Today's challenge over at Speedy Fox and Friends is to make a Farm scene. I chose to use the
Mark's Finest Paper stamp set called "Flaps my Wattles". I used raffia to make it look like straw, sponged clouds and dirt, and I added some flowers to give it a little extra zip.
I hope you can find some time to join us for the challenge. Thanks, for coming by today.
Just gorgeous Shirley ! I so love the background and the raffia ! Stunning idea ! Have a lovely week-end my friend ! Hugs, blessings and love from Catherine

ReplyDeleteShirley, this is stunning!!!! I LOVE the color! The rafia sticking out from beneath the chicken circle is a stroke of genius! Love this!!!
ReplyDeleteLove both background layers. Wonderful bright colors.
ReplyDeleteLove how you used the raffia!
ReplyDeleteYour down home feel with the raffia and "dirt" looks so genuinely country - love the doodled checked paper for your background - and the fun sentiment for a birthday laugh! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteOMGosh this is so cute, I love the colors and the fabulous scene you created.
ReplyDeleteUsing that sponge on the dirt is fantastic - great card!
ReplyDeleteShirley, this is super fun! Hope it is going to a young person as if it was going to me I am only too aware of how true the sentiment is! LOL! I turn 53 this Friday and as I get closer I am feeling more and more like 63- I have got to start exercising so I can at least act more like a Spring chicken than a Winter one! Great card with great details and fun colors! Hugz!
ReplyDeleteYour card is so very, very adorable - and it could be framed for a kitchen!!! I love the background you used - your coloring is awesome and I love the image against the blue - perfect!
