Speedy TV Inspiration Challenge - Ruby Falls


The Speedy TV Inspiration  challenge really brought back some memories for me.  The Inspiration pictures are of Ruby Falls and are really beautiful.   My parents took my older sister ( I will hear from her about that comment if she reads this-chuckle) and I to Ruby Falls when I was a freshman in high school.  I remember the gorgeous views with all the colorful lights inside the cave.

My card reminds me of a trip to California to visit my sister.   (yes, the older one)   ~smile~
(I am really getting myself in trouble with my sis, but she must remember I was always the bratty little sister and it is too late to change now.)  She took me on a hot air balloon ride.  It was fabulous floating over the wine country seeing the view.

For my card I chose to use the brand new Mark's Finest Paper  stamp set called "Hot Air Balloon" that will be debuting next week.  The picture I chose is brown and blue.  I needed one more color on my balloon so I chose pink.  (there went my masculine card)

    What a beautiful card!! I love the design and the cloud background!! The hot air balloon looks fabulous!! The pics of Ruby Falls are gorgeous!! It's been quite a few years since I've visited there!! Have a great day :)

    Wow, I sure enjoyed hearing your story - the one about your "older" sister, and seeing those fabulous pictures of Ruby Falls - just phenomenal! Now you have immortalized your hot air balloon ride forever in this wonderful card!! I didn't think you could finish this without adding some pink!! Just ROLL WITH IT, Sister! Love it!

    They are some wonderful pictures and they capture the beauty of Ruby Falls. Your card is wonderful Shirley and represents those colors wonderfully. I bet that trip was wonderful - I think I would love going there! Hugz!
