Speedy TV Inspiration Challenge - Succulents
The Speedy TV Inspiration challenge is all about Succulents. Wow, I never dreamed they could be so pretty. A zillion years ago when I was a little girl, my mom had green Succulents and they were called "Hens and Chickens". I would have never dreamed that there would be so many beautiful colors now and that they could even be used in wedding bouquets. It seems like there is a succulent craze in the states. I hear of them so often now. My sister absolutely loves them, she is always mentioning about getting more and what kind of pot or box she is going to plant them in. I don't think I will get any succulents. All plants seem to wither when I just look at them.
For my card I chose to use a Mark's Finest Paper Stamp called "Cone Flowers". This set is perfect for any occasion and it happens to be one of my favorites. I used a border die to get the shape of the card. I embossed the negative and added it to the other side of the card.
Here are the pictures I chose for the inspiration challenge:
Thank you for stopping by to check out the new challenge is. I hope the pictures have enticed you to join us for the challenge. You do have to use a Mark's Finest Paper stamp to play, using a MFP stamp does get your name in the drawing twice.

ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous Shirley ! Love the colours, the paper and the beautiful stamped flowers ! Hugs, blessings and love from Catherine
ReplyDeleteShirley, this is beautiful! Wow. I love the card shape, the dies, the papers, and that beautiful image. You captured the feel of those succulents without even using one. Amazing. Love your gorgeous card and the fun pictures you selected. I understand what you said about not having any succulents - the only plant I have ever left alive is a bamboo plant I have right by my sink and you can't overwater them. May get some fake ones though. Hugz

ReplyDeleteNever knew what type of flower my Mom's Hen and Chicks were, but you sure didn't make these "wither" even if they are different - the DO and the gentle curve of your card edge, make this such a delightfully feminine card! Love those tiny pearls and the bow too!
ReplyDeletePS - didn't know they came in different colors either!!
Really pretty card...I like the colors and the shape of the card!
