I am not sure what this type of card is called, my friend, Sue, showed me how to makethem last year when she came to visit. I guess it is a spotlight technique.

Brought back the fond memory I have of making my VERY FIRST CARD at my DIL's, nearly 10 years ago, but your butterflies are so much prettier than mine!! I think the technique is called Reverse Spotlighting (http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/reverse_spotlighting/) Great job! I am duly impressed!!
