Leopards and One Spoiled Boxer Girl

Hi, Everyone.   It sure is starting to feel like Fall in my little corner of the world.  The days are cool, usually around 70 degrees and the nights are actually chilly.  Won't be long I will be pulling out sweaters, sweatshirts and boots.

I hope and pray that everyone in the path of hurricane Irma will be safe.  She looks mighty powerful and I keep praying she will slow down.

I have two cards to share with you today.  One is especially near and dear to my heart.  Those who know anything about me know that my love for Boxer dogs really runs deep.

This card was made using a Rubber Hedge Hog stamp that was made from a picture of my first boxer, Savannah Rose.  Oh,  Ms Savannah was a spoiled little gal and a very stubborn girl, at that.  So stubborn she flunked out of  obedience training.  Thanks, to her I knew that with the next five boxers that I should obedience train them early in life.  Because of her, the others were all exceptionally good dogs.  Savannah may have been spoiled, but she was very loved and she was beautiful.  We lost her in 2007 and we were devastated.  Rubber Hedge Hog has a contest and I entered her picture in that contest.  She was one of the winners and Rubber Hedge Hog made this stamp from her picture.

Today the challenge theme at Splitcoast is "Oldies, but Goodies".  We were to use a favorite older stamp.  I chose this stamp because it is near and dear to my heart.  It was made in 2007.

My second card was made using a My Favorite Things "Loveable Leopards".  I thought this was such a cute set and I really tried to talk myself out of buying it,  but all of you stampers know how hard that is to do.  ~grin~   I started this card for the sketch challenge on Splitcoast.  I stamped my  main image  and then curved my sentiment on my block to stamp it on my card.  Once I stamped it,  I had an after thought.  I needed a birthday card for my friend, Shelly.    I created the sentiment with my computer, I know it is corny, but that was all I could think of at that moment to make it a birthday card.  I used my cloud template to cut it out and then I sponged around the edges to tie it in with my blue sky.  The panel behind the little leopard is wall paper.  The die I used behind the leopard is by MFT-Wonky Circles.

I hope I haven't been too chatty today, I usually try to keep it simple so I don't bore you all,  too much.  :)

Thanks, for coming by and come back tomorrow to see a cute Cheetah card.

  4. Love the expression on Savannah Rose! How wonderful to have your dog's picture made into a stamp to immortalize her forever! I am sure you had no problem coloring her, having her "model" for you in person - looks fantastic!

Absolutely adore this cute little leopard on a branch, hanging with his birdie friends! The tilted panel and the stitched circles really "zero in" on this image - what a great birthday card for your friend!! Guaranteed to be loved!!
