Regal Stag-Corner Bookmark

Hello, Everyone.   I am back today with two new cards using another new release,  Regal Buck, by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  The design team was challenged to put a bookmark on one of our cards this week.   It was a little challenging since I was assigned the Regal Buck for today's post.  I kept thinking about how I was going to use the Buck on a bookmark since he is a little large for a regular bookmark.   I kept staring at this stamp and yes, I did have a deer in the headlight look because I just could not come up with an idea.   Finally, the lightbulb went off and I had a viable idea.   ~Yay~   I decided to make a corner bookmark which fits over the corner of the page you are marking.  I had made one of those long ago.  I found a tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers.  You can find that tutorial Here.  I had to make my bookmark larger than the one they gave measurements for on Splitcoast to accommodate my Regal Buck image.   Here is my card with the bookmark, what do you think of it?

The triangular piece, with the stripes goes over the book page.  It really looks pretty cool when you place it on the page.  I wish I had taken a picture of it, but I did not think to do it until it was already attached to the card.

I used a Paper Studio Paper Pack that I have had in my stash for a while.  I thought the colors were perfect for the Buck.  I used Copics to color my image and sponged with blue ink using a cloud template to create my puffy clouds.  You probably have guessed that I like making clouds.     I used dimensionals to add my bookmark to the card.  I used a corner die, that I purchased when I first started stamping, for the navy ornate corners.  I added three brown sequins to complete my card for the finishing touch.

For my second card, I used the same paper pad, colored the image with Copics making this Stag a darker color than the first one and made more puffy blue clouds.  I matted my paper for my design and added three buttons on my card.  Viola, my card is finished.
