Hi, Everyone, guess what time it is? Yes, you are right. It is Monday and it is time for my
Blue Knight Rubber Stamps post. Today I am sharing cards I made with the "Take Shelter" stamp set. This set comes with three stamps, a larger image, a smaller image and a sentiment.
For this card, I was lucky to remember this background was in my stash and waiting to be used. I liked how it looked like rain coming down and thought it would be perfect with this image. The technique is called Dendritic. I stamped my image on the background using Amalgam ink. I used black and blue card stock to mat the image attached it to a white card base.
I made my cloud background using a Heidi Pettie Cloud Stencil and Violet from the Sunrise and Sunset Pan Pastels. Next I used the Seasonal Woodland stamp over the clouds and then added the the Take Shelter image. I matted the image with white and black card stock to complete my card.
I am happy my new blogger is working properly now, but I still do not like it. It was much easier using the old version. I know I am not alone with that feeling, I have heard others comment about not liking it.

Thank you, for stopping by today. Have a great week.
Two fabulous cards, I especially like to wonderful scene you have created in the second one.

Your backgrounds are stupendous! The blue one looks like a rainstorm, and the cloudy purple sky works so fantastically with this image and the Woodland stamp! Great for someone needing encouragement to fight the "storms" of life!
ReplyDeleteBoth are beautiful, love the different backgrounds and the scene you made.
ReplyDeleteLove your new page design Shirley.

Cute cards with great backgrounds!
ReplyDeleteI'm not fond of the new "Blogger" either. But I'm someone who does NOT handle change that well. (I always remind myself, that "blogger" is FREE, so most things that are free...I try not to complain too much!
Your cards are beautiful Shirly, love the silhouette image and your inking, fab backgrounds, Kate x
ReplyDeletethat's what I thought of right away that your first background looks like rain, perfect for your image and I love your cloud background, so pretty with the whole scene you created!
ReplyDeleteFABulous background and FABulous scenes.

I'm getting used to the 'new' blogger. 3/4 of the way there!
I haven't heard of the technique you used on your first card but it looks fabulous and so unique. Both cards are wonderful and I love the different sizes of silhouettes x. Glad you are taking to blogger a little more now x.
ReplyDeleteFabulous backgrounds and love the scene in the second one-there are a lot of complaints about the new blogger but tbh I have had no trouble and actually find it easier and quicker than the old version-maybe because I use a desktop computer rather than a laptop or phone?
