I made this card for the Featured Stamper challenge this week. Priscilla aka catluver2 was honored this week. I loved her gallery and it was hard to pick just one card to case. I liked one in particular where she used a dotted stencil so I decided to case it.
This card is made with colors from the color challenge this week, pear pizzazz, primrose petals and wisteria. I first used the magic masking tape technique and stamped the image. I decided I needed more colors so I still had the stencil on my work area and decided to use it on this card, too.
I know I told you on SCS how much I loved this Shirt... but it's really so cool! I really need to try some new techniques and try some new things! I love this and it worked out perfectly in this week's colors!
ReplyDeleteAren't stencils great! Looks like you had fun with them with these colorful creative cards...very nicely done!
ReplyDeleteI love love love the background of your card Shirley ! Hugs, blessings and love from Catherine
ReplyDeleteWhat a happy grouping of colors to make this birthday card!! Using the masking tape technique was cool, but adding the dotted stenciling was genius - just perfect to finish it off!! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHi friend!!! Thanks for finding my WOYWW button! I used to have so much fun with those posts and I'm excited to get back into it again. Sometimes I would have 30 - 40 (or more) comments on them!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your cards and the stencil. I always forget to use stencils, even though I love the look of them. I started using some of the background designs in the Silhouette store to cut some out of clear contact paper. The vinyl temporarily sticks to your paper to use as a stencil and it's so much cheaper than buying the plastic ones!
Is that washi tape I see on your card too? CUTE!!
Shirley, these are so fun and very trendy. Love the stenciling and the colors! Such energy they have. Hugz!
