Happy New Year. Wow, here we are into a brand new year. Have you made your resolutions ? I didn't make any this year. Our tradition for New Year's is to cook beans. Oh, yes, if you cook beans today-that means you will have money all year long. Well, I really don't believe in that, but I didn't want to take a chance so we are having beans, corn beef, cabbage, cornbread and lots of snacks left over from last night. (We had a family game night for New Year's Eve. We got really rowdy drinking our Pepsi's. ha ha)
The
Inspiration Challenge for Speedy TV this week is Baby It's Cold Outside and we have some pictures of cute winter coats for the inspiration pictures. I chose Coat #2. I used the
Mark's Finest Paper stamps called "Wings" and "Lots of Words".
Here are the coats:
Thank you, for stopping by today and I sure would love to see over at Speedy TV joining me in this challenge.
Well if I would have know that bean trick, I would have had some on to soak last night, lol. Shoot, so I'll be broke all year again? lol.
ReplyDeleteLove this fabulous design, your butterfly is so beautiful. Love the colors too. Happy New Year.
This is beautiful Shirley ! Love the dies you have used ! Hugs, blessings and love from Catherine
ReplyDeleteLove that pink coat you chose for your inspiration, Shirley!! It is presented so beautifully in your gorgeous card - love that romantic rectangle die with the floral oval and butterfly!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like there was a rowdy bunch at your house, but lots of fun! I have never heard the beans thing for New Year's before - we have pork and sauerkraut here - for pretty much the same reason. Hope your New Year is happy and healthy - all the way around!! Hugs!
Your card is just gorgeous. totally love the colors you used and the inspirational pictures are so awesome (loves those coats). I think I might try my first time over at Speedy. :D

Shirley, this is soooo pretty! I love that butterfly, the colors are awesome, and the die cuts are beautiful. So pretty. I had all the fun things to eat you did but no corned beef - sounds good though. I made lots of resolutions - that way I have more chances to actually keep some - LOL! Hugz!
