Speedy Fox and Friends - Letter A

Welcome to another Speedy Fox and Friends challenge.   The challenge for to day is the letter A.
You could use the shape of a letter A or a word that starts with the letter A or maybe a technique that starts with the letter A.   I chose to use it for Anniversary.  I used the Mark's Finest Paper 
 stamp set "Dogwood Blossoms".  Be sure and stop over at the blog to see what the other gal's have made for this challenge.   Please know we would love for you to join us in this challenge.

What a cutie!

The Twisted Sister's challenge this week was given by one of our  guest bus riders, Jan.  She challenged us to make a child's card.  I have always loved this image, I think it is a KLM digi that I had colored some time ago.   I lost this image when lightening took out my computer last summer.  I hope I can find the site I purchased it from to get another one.  I have definitely used this one for several cards.

CCEE Stampers - Oldie, but Goodie

The CCEE Stampers challenge this week is called An Oldie, but Goodie.     We are to take an old stamp and use it for this challenge.  I chose an old Stampin' Up set called "Roosting".     This was colored with prisma pencils and I sponged around it with a couple of distress inks until I got a color I was happy with.    I found the paper in a paper packet from DCWV.  I was lucky to find the orangy color of card stock that matched the distress inks perfectly.  I added blue and green card stock to mat on the white card.   I almost forgot, I used wax paper for the doily then sponged it with denim distressing ink.   I had used the wax paper on a Cheery Lynn Die to help my card stock not to stick so much.   This had been laying on my craft table for quite a while and I decided to use it behind my chicken.

Vintage Girls

The challenge last week for the Twisted Sisters was to make a card with both paper piecing and paper piercing plus add pearls.   The ways to use it challenge over at Splitcoast was to make a card with girls on it.  If we used Vintage girls we got extra points.  Here is the card I made combining the two challenges.  The stamp of the girls was by Hero Arts.  The scissors and the sentiment were from a set by Mark's Finest Paper called "I'm in stitches".

Hope you are having good weather where you are today.  It has been really chilly where I  live.  I am not going to complain because I have several friends who got a lot of snow over the weekend.   I am sure it will start warming up soon.

Speedy Fox and Friends - Easter or a bunny

Another Saturday has rolled around (quickly) and we have another fun challenge for you over at Speedy Fox and Friends .  The challenge is to make a Easter card or a bunny card.  I chose to use the new Spring Things stamp set that just debuted in the Mark's Finest Paper store this week.   I decided to make a Spring card with the bunny.  I first stamped my fence, then sponged  the clouds.  I colored my bunny and flowers, cut them out and added them to the card.

CCEE Stampers - Color challenge

Here is a card I made with the new stamp set "Glads" by Mark's Finest Paper that debuted in the Mark's store this week.   The card was made for the Sketch challenge today at SCS and for the CCEE stampers color challenge.   Charlene gave the challenge for the CCEE Stampers challenge this week and challenged us to use river rock,  soft suede, rose red, pink pirouette and vanilla.

Squigglefly - Face the Music

Rhonda's Rowdy Rascals are making cards for the Squigglefly challenge today with the theme  of Face the Music-make a card that depicts a song.   I chose to use the Squigglefly image "Blessed Rain" by Lynne Stansbery.   The song I picked to go with it is "Rain is a good thing" by Luke Bryan.  The paper I used is Authentique.

MFP Sneak Peek - Seed Packet

Here is  a sneak peek of a new stamp set that will  be available in Mark's Finest Paper Store this week.
The paper I used is really a frame that was in a package of paper I bought long ago.  I thought it was perfect to frame my seed packet.

Speedy Fox and Friends - Green Card

Speedy Fox and Friends have another fun challenge for us today.    The challenge is to make a green card.   Sunday is St. Patrick's  day so it could  be a card with the theme of St. Patrick's Day or it could be made in the color green for another occasion.  I chose to make one for Father's Day since my son has a new baby and it will be his first Father's Day with his new son.   I used a set by Mark's Finest Paper called "Get Reel".

CCEE1311-Pencils Please

 

Charlene is the hostess for the CCEE Stampers this week.  She has challenged us to use colored pencils to color our images this week.  I had not used my prisma pencils in a while so I got them out and sharpened them up.   I used a Stampin Up set called Sun Flower serenade and the paper is Graphic 45-French Country.

Speedy Fox and Friends #150 - Shaped card

Today's Speedy Fox and Friends challenge is to make a shaped card.   Since we have a new grand baby,  I am in the baby mode so I cut out a couple of onsie's and used the Mark's Finest Paper stamps called Oh Baby. 

CCEE - The Eyes Have It

Charlene is the hostess over at CCEE Stampers this month.  This week she has challenged us to use eyelets like we did in the day when we did not have cutting machines and embossing folders.   I started out making a really CAS card with tags and eyelets.  Well, that went awry somewhere along the way and I ended up with more than 2 hours in it.  You know that planning along the way part really gets in depth sometimes.   It takes me a long time to make up my mind when it comes to card making.  I decided after I cut my tags to use a couple of the frames from them, as well.    I did lots of sponging with distress inks and used gold paint on my butterflies.     You all are welcome to join us for the challenge, just go to the blog and link up your card.

Squigglefly - Use Ribbon

Rhonda's Rowdy Rascals are giving the challenge this week over at the Squigglefly blog.   We are suppose to use ribbon in some way other than tying it in a bow.  I used a brand new Squigglefly image
called "Just a little hello" by Cheryl Alger.  I colored the image to match the My Mind's Eye paper, but the light for the picture makes it look red.  I suppose it is the difference in the lighting where I snapped the picture.  Come on over to the Squigglefly blog and see what the other gals have colored up for you this week.  Squigglefly just released several new images so you may want to check  them out at the store.
