Hello Sunshine

I made this card for the Ways To Use It Challenge over at Splitcoast.  The challenge theme is "in like a lion and out like a lamb".   We could use sheep or lions on our cards.   I bought these cute 3 D stickers a while back.  I wasn't sure I what I would use them for, but they were just too cute not to buy.  I think I found the perfect spot for this little guy.

I stamped the sun and sentiment  using Verve Rise Above stamps, I used the Verve Partly Cloudy die to cut it out and the smiley face on the sun is a ODBD Hello Sunshine set.

Thanks for stopping in today and I hope you found a little ray of sunshine here.

Another Bible Journaling Page - Let Your Light Shine

I completed another Bible journaling page.  I did the page a couple of weeks ago and I knew I wanted to add more to my page.  I used my Kittie Kit set and stamped grass and flowers on the page.  The sun and scripture  stamps are by Our Daily Bread Designs.

Thanks, for taking a look.

Going To The Easter Bunny Hop

Hi, everyone.   It has been a busy week at my house this week.   I had many projects that had to be completed and my grand- daughter was with me a few days.  There was also shopping to be done for our dinner tomorrow.  Today, it will be doggie spa day.  I always dread that as my Yorkie girls do not cooperate.   They fight the spa time like little lions.

I was the host for the Free 4 All challenge at Splitcoast this week.  The challenge was to make a card with a bunny,  it did not have to be an Easter card, the theme was the Bunny Hop.   My card has my Easter bunnies and kitten on the way to the bunny hop.  This is a vintage image I printed and I colored the clothing with copics.   The flower was made with a Heartfelt Creations stamp and matching die.  I used a branch punch for the little branches.  You can still join the challenge with your bunnies if you like.

I am off to gather up the pups.  Have a great Easter.

QKR Stampede - Easter

The QKR Stampede challenge for this week is to make a Easter card.  When I thought of this challenge I first thought of bunnies and then I thought of all the beautiful flowers that start blooming around Easter.  I decided that I would be different and  color this fabulous image by QKR called Flower Accent #17507.   I really like the way the artist drew this image with the dark shading in it.   The shading makes it very easy to color.

I hope you all will join us for this challenge.  Maybe you can't play today because you are out shopping for vittles for your Easter dinner,  but you have all week to enter your card in the challenge.

Thanks,  for coming by today.  Have a fun and happy Easter.

Eureka Stamps - He Is Risen

The challenge for  Eureka Stamps Blog this week is to make an Easter card.   I chose to use the Empty Tomb  - #31703 image and the sentiment Luke 24 5-6 #28805.   I colored my image and sponged in some clouds.  I added the heart over the door of the tomb. I sponged green around the sentiment to match my designer paper.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  I look forward to seeing your Easter cards over at the Eureka Blog this week.  See you there.

QRK Stampede - Add a Sentiment

Hi, everyone and happy Friday.   Are you ready for the weekend?  I sure am.  I haven't checked the weather yet, but I hope there is not any rain in the forecast.

The challenge for the QKR Stampede blog this week is to make a card and add a sentiment.   I am loving this cute little crow laying back and taking it easy.  The is "Break Time" - #11302.    I used my wonky rectangle dies.   I colored the crow with copics, I sponged the clouds with a cloud template and made a blanket of grass for Mr. Crow to lay on.    The sun was made with an old stamp from my collection.  The " Hello Sunshine" sentiment was computer generated.  I used an  arrow punch to cut it out.  The blue checked paper came from my scrap bag and this was the last piece.  It was perfect for this card.

Be sure and cruise over to the blog to see what the other design team members made and to join our challenge.

Thank you, so much, for stopping by today.  Have a great weekend.

P. S.  Stay tune,  I am going to give away some blog candy in a week or two.  Right now you  can enter to win blog candy at A Mermaid's Craft blog.  You can find the information on my side bar.

Eureka Anything Goes-Shake, Shake Shake

The challenge for the Eureka Challenge Blog this week is anything goes.  I chose this cute image by Eureka called Bunny with Flowers #13703 to make an Easter card.  I thought he was pretty cute and he worked perfectly for my shaker card.  I colored the image with copics.   I added some glitter and sequins on the inside of my shaker.    The sentiment is computer generated.

Be sure to make your card and upload it on the Eureka Blog.   You do not have to use a Eureka stamp, but if you do,  it improves your chances to win.  You can check out the details on the blog.  Eureka has both digital and rubber stamps for your convenience.

Thanks,  for looking at my card today.  Have a great week.

Bible Journaling - Another Page

Today I got together with friends for a couple of hours to do some Bible Journaling.    I decided to use my Our Daily Bread Designs - You Will Find Refuge stamp set.  I used Prisma colored pencels to color the image and used a cloud template to make the clouds.  My biggest  goof for today was stamping this on the wrong page.  Not sure how I managed that.  ~smile~

Thanks, again, for stopping in to see my  Bible journal page.

My First Bible Journaling Page

This is the first page that I have done in my Journaling Bible.   I was afraid to stamp in it for fear of making a mess of it.  I think it went pretty well other than I smeared my Jelly Roll pen that I had colored my shell with. The stamps used are from Our Daily Bread Designs, they have some really nice journaling stamps.   I used Memento Luxe ink for stamping,  Jelly Roll pens, prisma pencils and regular pencils for coloring.   I first chalked over my stamping and then I sponged some ink over the top of it because it was not dark enough in some places.  I have listed the things I used just incase you are trying to figure out what to use in your journaling Bible.   I also would love to hear what things have worked well for you as I still need more supplies  to work with.

Thank you for looking and I am looking forward to hearing some new tips from you.  Have a great weekend.

Put A Little Sparkle on Your Card

Here is my card for the QKR Stampede Blog challenge for this week.  I used the Bright Sun image #6101, I thought it was pretty cute.  This image comes in both rubber and digital.   We were challenged  to add a little sparkle to our cards.  I started of by painting my sun, that was printed on water color paper, with Twinkling H20'S.  I really do not see the sparkle that it was suppose to achieve.   I added glossy accents to the sunglasses.  The designer paper has glitter on it and I hope you can see it sparkle, at least just a little.

My border was made using the ODBD Beautiful Border punch, one of my favorites.  I added some flower ribbon and added dots of yellow to the white flowers.  My sentiment was computer generated.

I hope you will join us at QKR for our challenge.  You do not have to use a QKR image, but check out the options on the blog.  We want to see the sparkles on your card.

Thanks, so much, for coming by today.  I get lonely when you do not come to visit.

Watch for blog candy-coming soon.  You won't want to miss it.

Ways To Use It - Celestial Challenge

I made a quick card for the SCS Ways To Use It challenge for today.   I have always loved anything with the sun and moon (stars and hearts, too) so I had to play the challenge.  :)  The stamp set I used is by MFP Stamp Shop-Moon & Stars.

Thanks, for looking and have a great day.

Eureka Challenge #183-Paper Piecing - Walk On Water - Perfect for Bible Journaling

I made this card for the Eureka Paper  piecing challenge for this week.   I am getting ready to start Bible Journaling and thought this image (Walk On Water #15402) would be a good one to use.  (when I get up enough nerve to actually stamp on my Bible).   Eureka has many other
Inspirational Images perfect for Bible Journaling.   I sponged my clouds using a cloud template and a sponge.  I added some little fishies and a banner for added interest.  I have to apologize for adding the wrong Wink Of Stella on the Walk On Water.   I thought I  had the one that adds a little glitter and it was the white one which really messed it up.   I colored over it, but it did not take it back to the original color.   Now you see why I am hesitant to start work on my Journaling Bible.  ~smile~
I hope you will join us for the Eureka blog challenge this.  We want to see your paper piecing.  See you over at the blog.

QKR Stampeded - Recycle

The challenge over at the QKR Stampede Blog is to recycle something.  It can be something you saved from a card, a label, a potato bag, etc..    I used the QRK Stampede Image # 4122 Resting Chicken.  The sentiment is computer generated.   In case you cannot see it, it says " Life Is Good" -
"Until Someone Needs..."   I used a Campbell's soup label to finish out the sentiment "chicken soup".
I hope you saw a little humor in my card today, we all need something to grin about.   I sure hope you will join us for the challenge.  I love to see what other people recycle.  It will be fun and who knows, you might be the lucky winner of some QKR images.

Debonaire Doggie

I made this card for the Splitcoast Sketch Challenge today.   I saw this cute little dog on a card by Forest Ranger aka Janette last week.   It is a new release by Jessica Lynn Originals.   The image reminds me so much of my black Frenchie that I just had to have it.  I am thinking that my Tucker needs a hat like this.  ~Smile~

Thanks, so much for taking a look at my card.
