Duckling in a Hollow

I made this card for the SCS Free 4 All challenge today.   I used a image by Blue Knight stamps
called "Duckling in a Hollow".   I colored my image with copics, added bling, a button with fiber and a bow.  I love the checked ribbon, it just gives the card a country feel.  I distressed the edges to make it look even more masculine.

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look at my card.  As always, comments are appreciated.

Barbwire Love

I made this card using the sketch challenge from Splitcoast Stampers today.   I had to giggle when I thought of putting the barbwire with the hearts.  Those cowgirls love their men,  but I think there are times when they feel like pushing them in a barbwire fence.  ~Smile~

I used the Cowboy Up Stamp Sheet – A271FSHT. to make my card.  This sheet is one of my very favorites.  I think you can tell that by the way I use it for so many cards.  The Barbwire die is by Cheery Lynn.

I am happy you came by today to take a look at my card.

Flourishes - Clean and Simple

Today the Friends of Flourishes (FOF) team has made  CAS cards to share with you.   Everyone has their own interpretations of CAS.   Personally,  I think of it as being a card I didn't spend one or two hours coloring the image.   My white hearts were already cut out  from a previous project so it made my card for this challenge even more simple.  My card was made using dies, an embossing folder and a stamp from Flourishes "My Funny Valentine" set.  By using the white embossed piece of card stock,  I was able to give a clean appearance to the front of my card.

The Flourishes blog and online store are under reconstruction at the moment, but we are hoping they will be up and running again soon.

Be sure and check out the other FOF design team cards.

Art Neko ~ You Rock, Cowboy

Here is a card I made for the Art Neko Blog today.   I used the  Cowboy Up Stamp Sheet - A271FSHT.

This card could be used for a Anniversary, Valentine’s Day or maybe a just because card for the special someone in your life.  I stamped the Love On a Swing image from the Cowboy Up sheet and colored it with my Copic markers.   I used a circle die to cut the image out and then cut a three circle frames to place around the image.   I cut the frame to place under the image. I used another die to cut the “You Rock” words and adhered them to the square frame. I added little Navy hearts around the western couple.   I had some rusty stars that a good friend sent to me and added those in the corners to finish my card.
I am happy you stopped by today. We only have one more day until the  weekend,   I hope you have a good one.

Friends Of Flourishes - Love Makes The World Go Around

Good Morning, friends.  It is Shirley posting today.  I have made a card to share with you using a new Flourishes release called "Funny Valentine".   I challenged the Friends of Flourishes design team to make a card using the theme “Love Makes The World Go Around”.   I thought this was a really cute set and of course I had to color the heart in pink .   Pink is my  favorite color.  I pulled a piece of Valentine themed paper,  a piece of glitter paper, black and pink card stock  from my stash to use for my card design.  I added a glittery heart and locket to my card as the finishing touch.

We appreciate you coming by today and I hope you will visit my team mates blogs to see their “Love Makes The World Go Around” cards.

Friends of Flourishes Shimmer and Shine

The challenge for the Friends of Flourishes Blog is Shimmer and Shine.    My silver card stock definitely  has shimmer and shine.    I used the Flourishes Winter Blooms stamp set.  (my first Christmas card for 2017)   I used a Spellbinders die to showcase the winter cactus flower pot.    I used lace with a poinsettia on it and I put blue card stock behind it to make it show up better.  I decided it needed just a little more of the shimmer and shine so I added some rhinestones.  The image was colored with copics.

Be sure and check out the other team members blogs.

Looking Good in Red - A Red Car, That Is

I made this card using a stamp from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps. For the F4A challenge today the requirement was to use a die. I used a Memory Box die for the two trees on the upper right of my card. I wish I had a small church to add to it. That would have been perfect. The scene is actually a snow scene, but I wanted to see grass today since I see snow out my windows.  The image I used  - "Car With  Scene".

I made the background with my gelli plate, then stamped the Blue Knight Image on top of it when it was dry. I used my copics to give the image color. I gold embossed the verse. This works out well for a sympathy card that I am needing.

ArtNeko - Pretty Pink Peonies & Kanji

I made this card for the ArtNeko Blog.   I used the stamps Peonies and Kanji.

I started by stamping my peonies on white card stock. I colored them with copics. I stamped the Kanji using Versamark ink, sprinkled gold embossing powder over it and used my heat gun to activate the embossing powder.
I added an olive lacy square  (Our Daily Bread die) over the top of the image. I adhered the lace square to my designer paper and the olive card base.
Thank you, for stopping in to look at my card today.

Peaceful Old Barn - Blue Knight Stamps

I love this old Winter Barn,  it just looks so peaceful.  I made this card for a Splitcoast color challenge using black, gold and white.  I really like these colors together.  The stamp is by  Blue Knight Rubber Stamps .  The paper is by Stampin' Up.

Thanks,  for stopping by.   I hope your 2017 is off to a good start.
