A Starry Night

Here is a card I made for Classy Cards N Such blog.   I made a card using my favorite colors,  I like non traditional colors for my Christmas cards.  I recently made another card with this layout, but I have changed my colors up and made this one as a night scene.

I started with a pink card base.  I added a layer of silver and black.  I cut the pink Christmas tree using the Memory Box Frosted Christmas Tree.  I used a circle punch and punched circles using black/silver card stock to make ornaments for my tree..  I attached the ornaments  with
Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive.  I adhered the tree to the black card stock.

Next I used a little star punch to make the pink and silver stars.  The silver star at the top of the tree was made using the Memory Box Over the Moon and Stars die.

I used Versamark to stamp the sentiment  on pink card stock and used silver embossing powder.  The sentiment is from the Impression Obsession Christmas Sentiments.

Thank you, for joining us today.

Elegant White and Gold Christmas Card

Here is a card I made for the Classy Cards N Such challenge #108 to make a friend card and add a squirrel or a bird.

I started my card with a white card base.  I cut another white layer and embossed it using the
Darice Doily Lace embossing folder.

Next I chose two stamps to stamp my sentiment. One of them had My Friend on it and the other one had Merry Christmas.   I aligned them on my block  and stamped them in Versamark and followed with Gold Detail Embossing Powder.   This is a great way to stretch your stamps.

I used the Impression Obsession Pine Branch  die to cut the white pine branches.  I attached them to my card using Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive.

I used Gold shiny card stock to cut my birds using Bird Song Dies  Secret Treasures Collection.  I attached the gold birds to the branches, also using the Art Institute Dries Clear adhesive.

My finishing touch to my card was to make a bow with  gold ribbon and using the Bow Easy.  This is a great tool for me because I cannot tie pretty bows.

I hope you will join us for the challenge this week.  Beverly always has a nice prize for the winner.

Whooo Loves You Scrapbook page

Here are two of the scrapbook pages I made for Cyleigh's scrapbook.   Cyleigh's Momma loves owls so I had to create a page with owls.   I was up to 3 A. M. finishing her scrapbook for her baby shower today.   Lately there have been so many things that kept me from working on it.  Things should be slowing down around here now.

Have a wonderful Sunday.

Classy Cards N Such - Birthday Star

Here is a card I made for Classy Cards N Such blog for today.   I have been playing around with the Ken Oliver Color Bursts again.  I really like the way this background turned out.

I started out with a white card base and added a layer of red foil card stock   The top layer is white card stock.   I sprinkled  Ken Oliver Alizarin Crimson  color burst on the card stock and spritzed it with water.  Next I sprinkled it with Ken Oliver Orange Color Burst and spritzed it with water.  I let the colors air dry, but you can carefully use a heat gun to dry it if you are in a hurry
to decorate your card.

I used the Memory Box Over the Moon and Stars die to cut the star from red foil card stock and one from gold card stock.
I attached the stars together and used Joy Foam Pads Small to pop the star up on the card.

The Impression Obsession Greeting Set  was used to cut the Birthday Wishes from gold foil card stock.  I attached them to the card using Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive to attach the greeting to the card.

That completes my card.  I hope you liked it.   Have a good weekend.

Ava's Birthday Card

A friend needed a card for her Grand-daughter's first birthday and asked if I would make one for her.
I would like to say I came up with the idea for this card, but I saw it on Pinterest.   The sentiment was computer generated.

MFP Stamp Shop - Scarecrow

I made this cute Fall card using the MFP Stamp Shop stamp set called Scarecrow.  This is my favorite scarecrow.   He looks so happy and I love that crow sitting on his arm.   I used Spellbinders Wonky dies.  I colored the image with copics and used a cloud template to make the clouds.

Thanks for coming by and taking a look at my card.

A Frosted Silver Tree

We have a new challenge at Classy Cards N Such blog.  The theme is Pretty Pink Christmas and they have a really pretty inspiration picture for it.

I started my card with a black card base and added a piece of silver card stock over it.  I took a piece of pink card stock and used the Dots Embossing folder for the top layer of the card.

I used the Memory Box Frosted Christmas Tree Die to cut a tree from the pink card stock and also I cut one from the Silver card stock.   I kept the pink one for use another time and inserted the silver tree in the space where the pink tree was cut from.    I used a circle punch to cut pink and black dots to trim the tree.
The star on the tree top was cut with the Memory Box Over The Moon and Stars die.   I attached the star and the ornaments using  Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive and the Metal Tip to attach them to the silver tree.

The sentiment is from the Impression Obsession Christmas Sentiments.  I used Versamark to stamp it and then added silver embossing powder.

I hope you will join us for the challenge.  We love seeing the cards you create.

Bokeh Technique

Here is a card I made for Classy Cards N Such today.  I used the Bokeh technique and this was the first time I have tried it.  The first step in making this card was making the background.  I took  white card stock and sprinkled Ken Oliver Color Burst in Ultramarine Blue, then misted with water.  I repeated this step using Orange Color Burst and Alizarin Crimson Color Burst.  There were a few areas that needed touching up so I just used the colors I needed and spritzed again.   In some spots I used more water and let the colors run and mix which was perfect to create the green color on my card stock.

Next I made  a template using the Memory Box Over The Moon and Stars die.    I took a piece of  Clear Card Stock and placed the die over it to cut the template .    Once the card stock was dry,  I  used the template over the clear card stock. I  placed the template  where I wanted the stars and moons..  I used white craft ink to sponge over them, using circular motions.

I layered my finished piece over gold card stock and made the card base using So Silk Glamour Green card stock.  I cut a star out of gold card stock to place over the main bokeh star.  I added a sentiment banner and added a gold star.  I placed silver rhinestones over the card for the finishing touch.

I hope you liked my card and please come back again soon.

Classy Cards N Such - Colors of Fall

Here is a card I made for the Classy Cards "Colors of Fall" challenge this week.    I love fall colors.

I started with a white card base.   The next layer was cut using th Mandarin Curious Metallic paper.   I layer it with white card stock that I embossed with the  Anna Griffin Matelasse Embossing folder.

I used glossy card stock and the Poppy Stamps Fluffy Feather die to cut the three feathers.   I used various inks to achieve the colors of fall.  I swiped the colors across the glossy feathers.  I chose this technique because the feathers reminded me of colorful leaves.
I popped the feathers/leaves up on the white embossed paper with Joy Foam Pads Large.    I added the striped ribbon to give the appearance of tying the feathers/leaves together.

I stamped the sentiment using Sweet N' Sassy -Keep in Touch, Too  stamp set..  I used the Mandarin Curious  Metallic paper and the A2 Divine Eloquence dies to layer behind the sentiment.

For the final step to my card I added orange and  silver rhinestones.

I am happy you came by today and I hope you will join us for the challenge.

A Beautiful View

Since summer has faded into the sunset and we are just starting the Fall season, I thought I would share one more card with a summer scene.   Sailboats always look so peaceful and serene out on the water especially when the sun is starting to set.

I used the Sweet N' Sassy The Sea stamp set to stamp the sailboat scene.  I took various colors of distress inks and blended them over the stamped image using the Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool.

The finishing touch to my card was to add the sentiment from the Impression Obsession Anytime Sentiments.

I made this card for Classy Cards N Such blog.  All of the products used may be found in their store.  Remember you can always use the code Shirley-10 to get a 10% discount.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope the bright colors on this card has brightened your day.  Have a wonderful weekend.

Classy Cards N Such - Sequins and Holly

Hi, I just want to share a card I made for the Classy Cards N Such challenge #105-Holly Days.   I apologize for the picture not being better, but the silver foil is very hard to photograph.

I used silver and green foil from the Foil Paper - Textured Patterns 1.  This is a great pack of paper and it has a total of 50 (5 X 5) pieces of paper.  There are 5 different colors and patterns.  I used this for my Christmas cards last year and still have a lot of it left.

I used the Memory Box Holly Bouquet with white card stock.  I cut two more using the red and green foil paper.  I used the pieces from those to fill in the holly and berries on the first die cut.  I adhered these over the silver paper.

The white tag was made using the Fancy Label Tags 1.  The sentiment is from the Impression Obsession Christmas Sentiments stamp set.

The ribbon was made using the Memory Box Corner Bow .  I adhered it to the card using Art Institutes Adhesive and the metal tip.

For the finishing touch, I added silver rhinestones and red sequins.

Thank you for coming by today.  I hope you will come over to the blog and join us for the challenge.

Classy Cards N Such - Tucker Love

I really had fun making this card for Classy Cards N Such.   Anyone who knows me,  knows I love dogs.  One of my dogs is a French Bulldog named Tucker.   I love this little guy, he is so full of spunk and personality.   My card today is all about Tucker.

I started with a black card base.  Next I took a piece of white card stock and put the Memory Box Texture Mesh Stencil over it.  I sponged two different colors of distress inks over it.

I used my Frenchy die by Poppy Stamps to cut three dogs out of the white card stock that I had just stenciled over.  I used Art Institute Clear Adhesive to attach this piece to my card base.

The bow was made with the Sue Wilson Finishing Touches - Filigree 3D Itty Bitty Bow die.

The border was made using ODBD Beautiful Borders die.  For the finishing touch to my card, I added Silver Rhinestones.

Thank you for taking a look at my card today.  Have a great Fall weekend.
