Grace and Mercy

Today I am showcasing another new release by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps. The set is called Grace and Mercy.  There are two stamps in this set, one is the giraffe with trees and the other one is the sentiment.  I started off stamping the image on white card stock.  I wanted a lot of color in the sky for this one and lots of  pretty clouds.  I used my Heidi Pettie Cloud Template to make the clouds.  I used Violet and Phthalo Blue Pan Pastels for the color on my clouds.  I used hairspray over the top of the image to seal the Pan Pastels.

I stamped the image on white card stock.  I used Picked Raspberry,  Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Black Soot Distress Inks to create the background colors.  I used a makeup brush to apply the colors.  This technique is pretty quick and easy.

He Is Risen - Blue Knight Rubber Stamps

Hi everyone, I am back to show you a couple of cards made with a really special stamp  from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  This one is called He is Risen.   I love, love, love  this set and I love how beautiful it makes my cards look.  I went for a different sky on each card and  I cannot decide which is my favorite.   After stamping my image, I colored the image using Copic markers.   Once it was colored, I  took a sponge and turquoise a ink pad to create the puffy clouds.  Viola, it is a finished card and it was very quick to make.

My second card was made exactly like my first one until I got to the sky.  On this one, I sponged Pan Pastels on the sky area.    I mixed the colors Permanent Red, Orange and Dairylide Yellow to create this colorful sky. This sky was really very easy peasy to create.  For the bottom portion, I used more yellow in the mix and graduated to more of orange and red as I went toward the top of sky.

The Pasture - Another New Release

I am back with a couple of cards made with the Blue Knight Rubber Stamp's newly released
"The Pasture"   For the first card, I stamped the image on white card stock.  I colored the image using my trusty Copics.  Not sure how I managed before I found Copics.   It wasn't easy.   ~grin~. On the grass in front of the pasture I mixed my brown and green colors.  I colored the sky in orange tones to give

For my second card I went with a Winter look.  I stamped the image on white card stock.  I colored my trees using very light gray colors.   I added Snow Tex to my sky and the ground.   I had never used Snow Tex before, but I really like the affect it gives.  I am not sure it shows well enough for you to see the snow on the ground.

In our area, we have only seen a dusting of snow, so far.  According to the forecast, my yard just might look like the the one in this card before the end of the month.   I personally prefer just a dusting of snow.  Dustings do not last very long.

Sloth-Blue Knight Rubber Stamps

Hello Stampers.  It is good to be back with a card from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps new release.  The Sloth is only one of the twelve new sets.  Be sure and go to the Blue Knight Store and check out the other ones.

My first card was colored with Copics.  I used the Heidi Petite's Cloud Template and turquoise ink to make my clouds.

The second card was also colored using Copic's although I colored the sloth in gray tones instead of brown's.  I used the same cloud template and used Stormy Sky Distress ink.    I wanted to create a different look with this card so I added layers and cut the sentiment form the bottom of the image to attach it to the tree limb.
