CCEE Challenge

The CCEE Stampers challenge this week is to make a card for a new home or apartment.
I think this is the first time I have used this Stampin' Up set, Right at home. The house were colored with copics and I sponged the clouds, added the fence border, lace and ribbon. The cardstock is Cool Carribean, love that color, I hope Stampin' Up brings it back some day. I decided to add stitching and that went pretty good this time. Other times, not so good.

I hope you enjoyed my pastel/spring looking colors. Thanks, for coming by.

Twisted Sister's Challenge & Squigglefly

This week the twisted sister's challenge was given by Kathy aka Airborne101. She challenged us to use a coffee cup or tea cup image, lace, pearls and incorporate a die or punch. I am using a Squigglefly image, tea cup roses, that I colored with copics. The paper is My Mind's eye, the Lost and Found collection. I dug through boxes to find the string of pearls, pulled out some tulle and added the half doily which is the lace portion of the challenge. I used spellbinders to cut the hearts and added stitching and ribbon.

I am uploading my card early as I have my son's wedding to use the rest of the week to prepare for.

Copics used: R85, 83, 81, RV0000, BV01, Y13, 11, YG000, G24, G28, YG11.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

I use a My Favorite Thing dienamics to cut the rolled rose and then added a pearl center. I used a paper doily, Cheery Lynn die, small flower punch, Paper Studio paper, lace and seam binding rbbon. I made this card for my card club tomorrow, now I have to go and cut out the kits for the other gals. I am off to start cutting. Ooops, I almost forgot to tell you this is a fork bow. Are you figuring out that it is my favorite way of tying bows?

Thanks for stopping by.

Show Us your red, pink and mustard-TSC0323

This week, I gave the challenge for the Twisted Sisters. I chose a difficult color combo, red, pink and mustard, that had been used long ago on Splitcoast Stampers color challenge, then I added the sketch challenge 358 from Splitcoast. The color combo was a little rough to get it to come together, but I finally got it together. The sketch, I flipped the pieces way to many times, it may not look like the original sketch that I started with. I chose a Stampin' Up set, Basket of fun for my image, then I colored it with copics. The paper is colorbok. If you would like to join the Twisted ones for this challenge, upload over at Splitcoast Stampers and use the keywords TSC0323. We would be happy for you to join us. You can also see the sketch challenge on Splitcoast Stampers.

Thanks for stopping by.

CCEE1212-Focus on Sentiment

The challenge for the CCEE Stamper's this week is to make a card and focus on the sentiment.
I used a scripture set from Our Daily Bread designs. The designer paper was from The Green Stack. The ivory paper has some anchors stamped on it with cool caribbean ink, but it does not show in the picture very well. I used a copic to color the pearl brad and to dab around the flower. The greenery was punched with a MS branch punch. The CCEE gals would like for you to join us for this challenge. Head on over to the CCEE Stampers to check out the challenge and the cards the other team members made. I hope to see your card linked up over there.

Thanks for stopping by.

Butterfly and flowers birthday for Joan

The tea potters on Splitcoast Stampers are making cards to send to Joan aka Scrappinmama72inPA for her birthday. Joan has some medical problems and her daughter, Emily, thinks we can cheer her up with some birthday cards.
My card took a whole different turn. When I colored the butterfly, I was going to use some bright colors on a white back ground. Well, somewhere it took a different turn and became more subtle. Had I known I was going to do this, I would have not used the orange on the butterfly. I would have used a softer color. I used a Cheery Lynn die for the leaves, punched some little flowers that I rolled over with a stylus and added some little bitty pearls. The butterfly was colored with copics. Squigglefly Snuggle Buddies

I won this image, Snuggle Buddies, over at Squigglefly. I just fell in love with this cute pair. I colored it a couple of weeks ago and couldn't wait to make a card with it. I tried to get creative with the stitching, but I have to admit the sewing machine really gives me a hard time. The challenge at Squigglefly was to make a home made flower so I made one to match my papers.
I used copics on the image. (C7, C5, C3, C1, E39, E37, E53, E00, R02, Yg95) The designer paper is Color Bok.

This sweet puppy reminds me of the Basset Hound mix dog that I took in at the beginning of fall.
She evidently was terribly mistreated by someone and would not let anyone close to her. She now has learned that she has a family that would never hurt her and she is as happy as can be.
She did well with our cat when she first came here, but now she wants to chase him all the time so I don't see our Daisy snuggling with Killer the cat.

Thanks so much for stopping by and the nice comments.

TSC card for baby Jada

The challenge for the Twisted Sisters this week was given by Leslie. She challenged us to make a background on our card with saran wrap and a ink pad. Basically, you just dab the saran wrap on the ink pad and then put it on the paper. I needed a baby card for a shower in a couple of weeks do I chose this image by Inkadinkadoo for my card. I look at this image and think, where was Mr. Moon when my children were babies. He sure never cradled them so I could sleep, but he sure has put this cute little bear into a restful sleep.

If you would like to join us for this challenge, head on over to Splitcoast Stampers when you are ready and put in the keywords TSC0316.

I used DCVW and Paper studio papers, added lace and the brads. Copics used: E39, E37, E00,
Y08, Y06, YG000, E39, E37, E35, E00.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend.

CCEE-Squigglefly Challenges

The CCEE challenge this week was given by Joanne. She challenged us to make a card with an international flair. I chose Viola, a Stampin' Up stamp set that I have had for a while. It is the closest thing I have to fall under the International flair category. I love this chef, I never tire of using it. I decided to use brads for his buttons. The sentiment is from squigglefly. The challenge over there on the squgglefly challenge blog is to use a paper clip, a flower and patterned paper on your card. I tied checked ribbon on the paperclip to give it more color.

We would love to have you join us for the CCEE challenge. Come on over to the CCEE Stampers

Wobble and Movable are the words

This card is for the Twisted Sister Challenge that was issued by Bratcards aka Terri. She challenged us to put something on our cards that moved. The squigglefly challenge this week also asked for something that wobbles on our cards. I decided to print off another digi so I could cut out the dog's head and I popped it up with a circled wire that resembles a spring. There was a how to do it link on the squigglefly blog. If you want to join this challenge you can combine the challenges since movable and wobble can be the same when it comes to the challenges. Put TSC0309 in your keywords, if uploading on Splitcoast, for the Twisted Sisters and go to Squigglefly blog to upload your card there.

Thanks, for stopping by today.

Challenges entered:
squigglefly - something that wobbles
Totally Papercrafts - favorite things (my dogs)

CCEE-Flowers, Flowers, Flowers

The CCEE Stampers Challenge for this week has to do with flowers. flowers, flowers. I chose this little fishing bunny from squigglefly . I sponged in clouds for the finishing touch on the image. I decided I would make some little waves for him to pull the fish out of. I almost covered them up with the greenery and the flowers, flowers, flowers. Yep, there is three of them. ~giggle~
I hope you will join us for the challenge today. Head on over to CCEE Stampers to see what the other gals have cooked up.

Thanks, for coming by.

Happy Birthday, Cupcake-Paper Cupcakes

The challenge for Paper Cupcakes this week is to make a children's birthday card. Once again, I chose the elephant cupcake. In case you haven't guessed, I love this image, it is just too cute.
I thought the red and pink flowered paper was perfect for my image. The bow is a fork bow and super easy to make. Besides that they always look nice and I am not good at tying bows. I must have slept through that class. ~Chuckle, Chuckle~ Why don't you come on over to There's Magic in the Air and join us for our challenge? You never know, you just might win a free digi over there and I would love to see your cards. Nina is celebrating her birthday on the blog today and she is offering free bingo cards and tickets. There is also a cute digi for $1.00.

We had more storms come through on Friday. It was pretty nasty, but did not have any touch down so there was no damage. Everyone was really on edge. My heart and prayers are with the states that received damage with this one.

Thanks for coming by. See you again, soon.
