Blue Knight Christmas Cards

Here are two Christmas cards I made using Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.   This stamp is called
"Snowy Village".   These cards were my first try at water coloring.  I used Koi water colors on the first one and the second one, I used my SU water color crayons.

Thanks, for coming by and taking a look at my cards.

Riding The Fence

I made this card for the Featured Stamper challenge on Splitcoast this week.   I already had the image colored (from a long time ago), I had the embossed pieced in my scraps so this was a pretty quick card.  I love the cute image.

Tie Down The Tree

This is the last Christmas card I made for the year.   I love this old car with the tree on the top.  It is by Stampabilities and Paper Studio had the matching paper to go with it.    For the record, I did not get my Christmas cards finished.  Maybe I will do better next year.

Thanks, for coming by and taking a look at my card.

Hinged Santa

I have had fun making Christmas cards with this cute stamp by Taylored Expressions.  I used brads to make the legs move.   Legs are crossed on this particular card.   I am running so behind,  I am not sure I will get all my cards done to mail.  Bad me.

Have a great weekend.  If you out there Christmas shopping, be careful.  Everyone is in a hurry.

Let It Snow

Here is a Christmas card I made using the QKR Stampede Catching Snowflakes image.  I like this image, it is cute and easily colored.

Do you have your Christmas cards addressed and mailed?  Or are you like me and running way behind?  Hopefully I can pull it all together and get my cards mailed before January.  ~smile~

Manger Scene

Here is a card I made using the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps  Away in a Manger Scene and the Love Was Born set.  I colored the block window, the hay, bucket, pitchfork and crib with Copic markers.  I sponged the walls of the stable and the floor with distress inks.  The beam from the stars was sponged with yellow ink.  The night sky was made using distress ink, but the color was off so I went over it with a Prisma Pencil and added stickles for the stars.  I finished up the card stamping the sentiment at the bottom.

Thanks, for looking at my card.  I hope you like it.

Blue Knight-Christmas Pinecones

Well, Christmas is getting closer and closer so I decided I better get busy and make a Christmas card or two today.   I used  Blue Knight Rubber Stamps  image called "Pine Cones".  I colored the image with Copic markers.  I sponged the background with Broken China distress ink using the
Creative Expressions Mini Smoothie Sponge.  I used the Lacy Square die by Our Daily Bread Designs, the scalloped die by Sizzix and the bow die by Sue Wilson.  I added some Nuvo drops to the pine cones.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.   Have a great weekend.

Give Thanks Card and Evelope

Here is a card I made with a swap with friends.  I did not design the card, but I really do love it.    The leaves are white embossed and I sponged around them with warm colored ink.  I like coloring on the envelope although it is not something I do often.

Thanks, for taking a look at my card.  Have a wonderful weekend.

These Art Impression gals sure look like they are having a great time decorating that cake.
Don't you  think?

Thanks, for coming by and seeing my card today.

Look what the stork brought-a cute little baby boy.  This is the card I made for the QKR Stampede
challenge this week.  The image is called "Stork".  The sentiment was computer generated.   This challenge is always "Anything Goes".  I hope you will link up your card to the blog.

Sorry I have been missing for a few weeks.  I was sick a couple of weeks and then we had family come to visit.  We had a great time.  Now I am back to card making and will be posting more on my blog.

Country Life - Blue Knight

My Blue Knight  Country Life Stamp was still on my craft table so I decided to make another card with it.  This time I used distress oxide inks to color the whole image with the exception of the grass and trees which were colored with a copic marker.  The inks I used were Peacock Feathers, Pickled Raspberry, Seedless Grape, Mustard Seed and Rusty Hinge.

My friend Verna gave me the idea of coloring the image with the oxide distress inks.  The card she made doing this was beautiful.  I gave it a try and liked it.

Blue Knight - Country Life

I am sharing a card with you that I made using Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  The name of the stamp is Country Life.  I know sometimes you look at a stamp and think "Oh, that is going to be hard to color".  This stamp is not hard to color, it actually did not take a long time to do it.  My background took a little longer because I messed it up twice and had to redo it.  It was an easy fix as I just cut my colored image from the sky, mounted it on another piece of card stock that I had already prepared the sky.  I made the sky by applying oxide inks with my Clarity Brushes.    I used Fossilized Amber, Worn Lipstick and Broken China.  I colored my truck with copic markers.  (YR4,7,9)

Thank you, so much, for taking time out of your busy day to view my blog.

Beach Bunny Cards

School is starting, in most places, this week.  It is hard to believe that summer is almost over.  It has gone so fast.   Our five year old grandson will be starting kindergarten.   That makes me sad.  I would like to keep him little a bit longer.

Today I am sharing some cards I made using the Life's A Beach stamp by The Cat's Pajama's.  I had fun working with this little beach bunny.  I colored the images with copics and did some Paper Piecing.  The cards all have a different design and colors.

 Thank you, for coming by.

Misty Mountains

I made this card for one of the Dare To Get Dirty Challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers.
I started out by brushing ink over my card stock using Clarity Brushes.  I stamped  the Misty Mountain stamp over the inked card stock.  I stamped the balloons and boats, I colored them with
Copic markers and fussy cut them.  I used Blue Knight Rubber stamps.  (Misty Mountain, Hot Air Balloon and Beach Chairs and Accessories)

Thanks, for coming by.

Java Jane - Coffee Understands

Someone is having a birthday.  Java Jane is trying to smooth things over by saying Coffee Understands.  The inside of my card says, "It's hard having another birthday at your age."

The background was made with water color paper.  I misted the paper with water and sprinkled Colors Bursts over it.  The image was colored with copics.  I added the white stars using white acrylic paint and a star stencil.

Thank you, for taking the time to come over and check out my card.

My Pink Beach Accessories

Here is a card I made using Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.   The stamps I used are
Relaxing on the Beach, Sand Castle and AccessoriesBeach Chairs and Accessories and the Mini Greetings Set.   I guess you are wondering why I used so much pink on my beach.  First of all, I like Pink and secondly, I thought it would be a perfect card for someone who has just finished treatments for breast cancer.

Blue Knight just came out with lots of new stamps.  I really like them, they have lots of new sentiments, stamps with children in wheelchairs, a Magical Unicorn,  A lighthouse,  a Peaceful Lake, Silhouettes of a wolf,  a stag, and a forest, a dragon and an Autumn squirrel.    Check them out, I think you will like them.

Thanks, for coming by today and taking a peek at my card.

Isn't She Cute?

Jill aka JD of PA was the featured stamper on Splitcoast a little over a week ago.  I wanted to honor her by making a card.   This image was laying on my craft table and it was perfect for my card.  This image is just adorable.  This image was pre-colored so I cannot take credit for coloring it.  When I ran across this paper, I knew it was perfect with the image.  The blue in the little girl's shirt and the blue in the patterned paper are a perfect match.  The paper really draws out the blue in the image.

Thank you, for stopping by today.

Cute Bunny

Today I played the Ways To Use It challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers.  The challenge them is hot & Sticky.  That translate into making a card that has something popped up.  I used Sticky dimensionals to pop uf the bunny panel and the butterfly.    I used the stamp from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps called "Spring Bunny".

I colored my image using copics.  I used as scalloped circle to sponge my clouds.  The butterfly was made with a Martha Stewart punch.

I really appreciate you coming by today to take a look at my card.

Hot Air Balloons by The Pier

We have had a nice break from the heat the past week.  I am happy about that.  The humidity had been terrible.  It is nice to go out side and spend a little time without  wanting to rush back in from the heat.  I think I will go out later and clean the chairs on my porch.  It sure has been dusty out there.

I really love the colors of this card.  I think turquoise and orange make a great combination.  I made this card using a sketch from Splitcoast sketch challenge.  I used images from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  I used Lake Pier and Hot Air Balloons.   This image is very easy to color and I have loved every card I have made with it.

Thanks, so much,  for coming by today.

QKR - Sick As A Dog

I made this card for the QKR Blog challenge this week.   As always, it is a anything goes challenge. Not only does this pup have a broken leg, it looks like he has been one sick puppy, too.   That is what I call a run of "bad luck".  I used the image Sick As A Dog and the sentiment is One Sick Puppy.

Thanks, for coming by today.  I hope to see you again soon.

Little Slugger

I was the hostess for the Free 4 All challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers.   Yesterday was Yadier Molina's  36th birthday.   For those of you that may not know who he is, he is a catcher for the St. Louis Cardinals.   I challenged the challenger players to make a card that had a cardinal, red & white which is the Cardinals colors, a baseball, the numbers 36 or something that related to Yadier and the Cardinals team.  I used this adorable House Mouse Stamp for my card and I found this awesome baseball card stock in my stash.  Believe it or not this is the first time this stamp has seen ink.  I sometimes get to busy with challenges and I don't take the time to make fun cards just because I want to, so the Yadier challenge helped me to do just that.  I had forgotten all about this stamp until I decided on the challenge and started looking for a stamp to use.  I am not a sports fan so I do not have many sports related stamps.  This card will be perfect for my grandson's next birthday.

Thank you, for stopping by and looking at my card.  It means so much that you take the time out of your day to stop  by and leave a comment on my blog.

Have a wonderful weekend.

QKR Dog With a Bone

Dog images just seem to draw me in.  I love dogs so I suppose that is natural.  This image is QKR Stampede/Stamp on it's Dog With a Bone.   It takes minimal coloring so you can whip a card up super quick with it.  I had this designer paper in my stash and it was a perfect match for this cute little dog.

QKR Stampede Geese

I made this card using the QKR Stampede Geese image.  The dies I used are from Our Daily Bread Designs.  I thought this image was pretty cute.  Somehow I had over looked this one in the QKR store many times.  I am happy I finally found it and plan to use it a lot.

I hope you all are doing okay with the high temperatures that many in the United States are having.   We seem to have rain almost everyday and it is very hot and humid.  Last week we had a bad storm that took out many trees.  We lost a big tree in our yard and our neighbors huge pine tree fell on us.   We are suppose to help clean it up on July 4th.    Our drive is covered in pine cones.

Q-tip Stamping

Here are two cards I made yesterday for the Technique Lovers Challenge on Splitcoast Stamping.   The technique was to use q-tips to make your card.  Here is a link to the video on how to stamp with Q-tips.  I used the  Blue Knight-grazing horse stamp.  I knew the trees would be perfect to paint with Q-tips after stamping it on my card stock.    This stamp set has three stamps in it.  One is the tree, one is a cover for the tree which puts leaves on it.  The third one is a small stamp with tree leave on it.  The first card was made with the leaf cover and the second one is just the tree.  Here is a picture of the stamp set:

Now you can see the three stamps that I was trying to explain.  Note that the stamps come on this nice cling background.  The front of it has a nice colored picture of the image.  Basically, the front gives you an idea of how to color the image.

Thanks, for coming by to visit.  It is always good to see you.

Happy 4th Of July

I love making Patriotic cards.  I love the colors.  The flag background is made by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps and it is called Old Glory.  The Rear View Truck is also by Blue Knight.  The sentiments are from older stamps made by a company that is no longer open.  I colored the images using Copics.  I fussy cut the I love the USA image.

I hope everyone has a fun and safe weekend.   See you here again soon.

Yappy Birthday

I made this card using a QKR Stampede Patriotic Puppy image.  The front of the card has rows of Washi tape and then it was embossed using a star ef.   I got this idea from a challenge on Splitcoast Stampers. I colored the puppy using Copic markers.  The sentiment is computer generated.

Here is a card I made using Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  I used the Quiet Waters stamp set.  I colored the image with Copics.  The sky was sponged with Stampin' Up Inks, Regal Rose, Apricot Appeal and Pumpkin Pie.

Thanks, for coming by and taking a look at my card.

Living on Coffee

Here is a card I made using "Living on Coffee" by Verve.     This was one of their newest sets.
I was really sad to hear that Verve was going out of business.   It was a great stamp company and it will be missed.

I used papers out of my scrap bags for this card.  I had fun coloring the bright pink flowers.  Most of you know how much I like pink.

Thanks, for coming by today.

Grazing Horse Silhouette

Here is another card I made using the Blue Knight Rubber Stamp called "Grazing Horse Silhouette".  I really like this stamp and making the colorful backgrounds using the direct to paper method.

QKR299-Roy's Saturday Bath

I made this card for the SCS F4A challenge and for the QKR Blog.   I could resist using this
Cowboy Bath image.  Old Roy has been out on the range all week and he is getting his Saturday bath.   Whew, I bet he was a smelly dude.  ~smile~

Thanks, for coming by today and taking a look at Old Roy.  Hmmm-sounds like dog food instead of a smelly cowpoke.  LOL

Mason's View

I made this card using Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  This stamp is titled "Mason's View".  This stamp was actually made from a picture of Mason sitting on the back of his grandma's VW watching fireworks.  This stamp definitely caught my attention because I like the Volkswagon bugs.

I have had this paper for quite sometime and was waiting for the perfect card  to use it on.  It goes perfectly with this stamp.

Blue Knight has some newly released stamps and have more awesome new stamps that will be in the store soon.  Keep checking their website.  I think you will like them.

Thanks, for taking a look today.  Have a wonderful Sunday.

Laugh Until You Leak

Here is a card I made using a Vera Lane image, I love this Wildflower gal.  I really struggle at making the backgrounds like this.  I just kept adding things, as you can tell.  ~smile~  I used a white paint pen on my leaves and on the image.  The paper absorbed it so it does not look as nice as a gel pen.   My gel pens were dry.  :(  I used dilusions stamps and spray, along with inks & acrylic paint.

Thanks for looking at my card today.  Have a safe and fun weekend.

It's a Cowboy Pencil

I really like this cute Cowboy Pencil by QKR Stampede.   I colored the image using Copic markers.  The sentiment was computer generated.  The paper was left over and in my scrap bag.

We have a long holiday weekend as we are celebrating Memorial Day in the United States.  I hope you all have a good one.  Have fun and stay safe.
