Saddle Up Box Card

Here is a card I made for my 5 year old grand-daughter for her birthday.   I love this cute stamp set by My Favorite Things.  I used a Divinity Designs Box Die to make the base.  That makes the box card so much simpler and I need simpler.  ~grin~

Thanks, for taking a look at my card today.

Reeds and Ducks

Here is a card I made with Reeds and Ducks by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.   There are six images in this set and there are different sizes of reeds and ducks to fit your stamping needs.  I colored the bottom of the image using distress ink.  I used a white gel pen on the water to make it look like small waves or rough water.  The sky was made using distress inks, also.  I punched a circle for the sun out of a post it note.  I sponged the sky using yellow and orange inks.  I then removed the post it note circle and sponged with yellow and then went over it with orange letting the orange go out over the sun.

On my second card I used a Copic Marker to color the water.  Next I made the clouds using a Heidi Pettie Cloud stencil that sells for $5.99.    I stamped the airplane in the sky using the Beach Chairs and Accessories  stamp set.  I stamped the Happy Birthday on the banner using the Birthday Wishes stamp set.  I stamped my reeds and ducks in the water and Viola , my card is finished.

Bad Ideas With Friends

Made this for my life long friend who lives alone and is getting very depressed over the virus. I am hoping this will make her smile with the Art Impression gals.  The inside is a sentiment by Cracker Box and Suzy that says,  "The Best Memories come from BAD IDEAS done with best friends".

Winter Cardinals

Hi,  hope you all had a great week.  Weekends go fast and Monday rolls around all to soon, for those who are among the work force.

I have a couple of winter cards to share with you today.  I used Winter Cardinals by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  This stamp set has the image of the cardinals on the fence and has sentiment that  says Merry Christmas.  I found it very easy to color, as well.

My first card, I consider a CAS-cleans and simple card.    I used one of my favorite color combos red, white and black.    This combo always gives a classy look.  I stamped the image and colored it with Copics.  I added Stickles on the fence and branches to enhance the snow.

I did everything the same with my second card other than using the Heidi Pettie Cloud Stencil and Marvy Euchida light blue ink to create the clouds.

If you want to see more cards be sure to check out our Facebook Page and the Blog.   You can also tune into our You Tube videos.

Happy you stopped by today.  Have a great week.

Make It Country - Bank Barn

I am hosting the Free 4 All Challenge at Splitcoast today.  The theme is "Make It Country".   I love old barns so the Blue Knight "Bank Barn" was a perfect choice for my card for the challenge.  I colored it with Copic and used a Heidi Pettie Cloud Stencil to create the sky.  The ink I used for the sky is Marvy Euchida Light Blue and I applied it with a sponge dauber.

Thanks, for coming by today.   Have a great weekend.

Rainy Days

Hello Friends.  Hope you all had a good weekend.  Mine was really quiet and kind of boring.  They say boring is good so I will go with that.  ~grin~

I am sharing a couple of cards that I made with the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Rainy Days stamp.  Let's get started.
I started out stamping my image using Marvy Uchida black ink.  (I like using this ink with Copics.)   I colored the image with Copics and  sponged the sky using a sponge dauber and light blue Marvy Uchida ink.

I stamped the image and colored it with Copics.  I used Pan Pastels to create the sky using yellow, orange and red colors from my Pan Pastel Sunrise and Sunset set from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.

Be sure and check out the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Blog where you can view the other team members cards.  Blue Knight also has a Fans Facebook page where design team members and Fans post their cards.    If you would like to see videos made with Blue Knight Rubber Stamps-go to their You Tube channel.  You will find lots of awesome  card making ideas at all three of these sites.

Blue Knight Footbridge

Hi Everyone,  hope you all are well and that you had a great 4th of July.  Ours was fairly quiet, we did a little grilling and watched some fireworks from a distance.   Our fur babies was not happy with the sounds of the fireworks that were going off all day.  I don't blame them.  They did not hurt my ears like it did theirs, but I was tired of hearing them.

I am sharing cards that I made with Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Footbridge set.  This set comes with five stamps, the footbridge, two different sizes sailboats and two different sizes of ducks.    I made three cards this week, one that is dramatic, one that is not so dramatic and one that has a clean and peaceful look.  I colored the water a different color on each card.  Which card do you like best?

For my first card,  I stamped the images  and colored it with Copics.  I made a mask for the sun, sponged it, then I used the reverse mask and then I used brushes to sponge on Distress Inks to create the beautiful sunset.

For my second card,  I stamped my images on the cardstock and colored it with Copics.  I made a mask for my sun using the same technique as I did on the first card.  I used a sponge dauber with blue ink and a Heidi Pettie Cloud Stencil  to sponge the clouds.  I used the Blue Knight  Hot Air Balloon stamps to use in the background.  I stamped them on card stock and colored them with Copics.  I then fussy cut them and attached them to the card.

 .
For my last card, I stamped the image on card stock and colored with Copics.  I used the Heidi Pettie Cloud Stencil with Caribbean ink to sponge on the clouds.

Here is a card I made for my grand-daughter's 5th birthday.  She loves horses and she plans to rodeo with her little pony one day soon.   This card was perfect for her.  The stamps are Saddle Up and
Celebrate by MFT.  I think it is discontinued.  Funny, I just got around to stamping it up for the first time.  ~smile~  I have colored images from this set for another grand-daughters birthday that will be coming up in five weeks.  I saw this card design on Pinterest, but I do not know who to give the credit to.  I colored mine in different colors, but the layout is the same.

Thanks, for taking a look.
