Cowboy Up and a Dragon that likes Ketchup

Today I am sharing cards that I made with one of my Blue Knight Rubber Stamps - The Avenue.  We were challenged to use at least two additional Blue Knight Stamps with this image.  For the first card I used Cowboy Hero, Cowboy Up and Rear View Truck.  I thought these worked perfectly together.  I was pretty pleased with this card.  The sentiment is not showing up well on this card.  It looks much better on the card, in real life, although it did want to blend in with the grass a little.   After I stamped my The Avenue image on white card stock, I colored the grass and the road using Copic.    I brushed Pan Pastels on the sky.  I stamped the truck, colored it and adhered to the card.  I added the cowboys and the sentiment.

I stamped The Avenue stamp on white card stock and used Pan Pastels to color the complete Avenue image and the Fire Breathing Dragon.   I have to say this coloring went really quick.    It is the first time I have used the Pan Pastels to color the whole card.  I usually just do the sky.   I colored my Dragon and fussy cut it and attached it to my card.  I added the Dragon Sentiments last.

Sorrowful Pup

Today I am showcasing the Sorrowful Pup stamp set from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  I have made two cards that show how to use this stamp as a Pet Sympathy card.  I hope you like them.

I started out by stamping my dog on white card stock.  I wanted to use the I'm so sorry sentiment, but there was not room for the whole stamp.  I took scotch tape and put it over the "I'm'" and inked up the stamp being careful not to get a lot of ink on the tape.  I took my shammy and wiped off the tape so I did not get any unplanned ink  on my card stock.  I do not like to cut my sentiments apart so this was a great way to make my sentiment work with the image without damaging the actual stamp.  I colored my image using my Copics.  I wanted to sponge some clouds on the sky, but I really thought it would look best without clouds.  Besides I think I use to many clouds on my cards, sometimes.  I don't want them all to look a like.  Next I pulled out my oval dies and cut our my image and also cut the layer.  The rest is pretty easy, I picked my paper and made layers for my card base.

For this card, I decided I wanted something different than what I have made in a while.  I actually prefer a clean looking card, but felt like I needed to mix it up a little.  My SU corner punch came to mind and I decided to use it for this card.  I stamped my images on white card stock, colored the pup with Copics.  I used my Heidi Pettie cloud stencil and turquoise ink to make my sky.  I cut the layer for the pup image and pulled out my corner punch.   I punched each piece in all four corners and attached them.  I made a small panel to go under the one side of the image.  I attached everything to the patterned paper and adhered to the card base.  I decided it needed a little bling on it so I took rhinestone paw prints and added to the corners.

I hope you will check out the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Blog to view the cards that my team members have made.  You will find their blog information there, as well.  You can also visit the Blue Knight Facebook Fans Page.   There are always cards there to view and some have tutorials.

More Precious

Hello, Friends.  Hope this finds all of you doing well.  We had a quiet Easter.  I think many others had the same situation due to the virus.  We usually have our kids here for dinner, but things were different this year.  I am okay with with staying in as long as everyone stays well.

Today I have two cards to share with you that were made with  the Blue Knight Rubber Stamp

I started out by stamping the flowers and the sentiment on white card stock.  I colored the flowers using Copic.   I chose a white and yellow checked ribbon to use in the middle of the two stamps.  I don't tie pretty bows so  I used a fork to tie my bow.  I then matted the image on yellow and pink card stock.

For my second card, I wanted to use patterned paper.  Seems like I am not using as much of it as I once did.    I stamped my image on a square of white card stock.  I chose Copics that matched with my paper.  I like blue and purple colors together.   They seemed to match my paper quite well.
The sentiment is from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.   The name of the set is called
Bible Verses 2.

Be sure and check out the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Blog to view the cards that my team
mates have made this week.  You can also visit the Blue Knight Facebook Fan Page.  There are lots of card posted there using the Blue Knight stamps.

Blue Knight Rubber Stamps - Chickadee

Hi Everyone, it is time to show you some cards I made using the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Chickadee.  I googled Chickadee to see if there were some that had color on them.  I discovered that there were some that have blue on them so my first card is down with a a Chickadee with Blue.   I colored the image using a blue Copic marker.  I cut my panels and slanted them on my card.  I used a cloud template and some blue ink to sponge on some puffy clouds.  I used some ribbon that I had in my stash to make the bow.

For my second card, I decided to color this chickadee to look like the chickadee's that we are use to seeing.  I sponged my clouds using turquoise ink.  I used the Heidi Pettie Cloud Stencil to create my clouds.  I matted my image and pulled out some Designer Paper that matched really good with my image.  I thought the paper gave it a more masculine look.

Be sure to check out the Blue Knight Rubber stamps Blog to view the cards my team mates have made for this week's challenge.   Blue Knight also has a Facebook Fan page that you might want to see.  There are cards there and helpful videos.
