Here is the card I made with the Gardenia Stamps

I learned something new with this set.  I always thought that Gardenia's were always white.   I googled them and found out they come in other colors.  I decided to make mine yellow because I love yellow and black cards.  The sentiment I used is from the "Say Cheese" stamp set.
Here's the Design Team

Speedy Fox and Friends - Birthday and Butterflies

It is time for another Speedy Fox and Friends challenge this week.  The challenge is to make a birthday card and add a butterfly or two to it.  I actually used a stencil and made three butterflies on the left hand side of my card with paste.  I covered most of it up with my die and dogwoods.  I used the MFP Stamp Shop Stamps Dogwood Blossoms for my card this week.

I used Heavy Gesso and spray mists to make my background for my card.

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

Mixed Media Card

Here is a card I made for the mixed media challenge at Splitcoast.  I used gesso and delusion sprays and a little bit of dog hair (accidently) that gave it a crackled technique effect.  For full details and a chuckle, take a look at this post.

Be sure and watch for my next dog hair project that is coming to this blog next week.  ~grin~

Sweet Tea - Pleated Border

Here is a card I made for the Technique Lovers Challenge at Splitcoast Stampers.  The technique was to use a border punch and pleat it.  I used a cute  Lily of the Valley image that was sent to me by a dear friend from the UK who lost her fight to cancer a couple of years ago.  She was a friend I had only met online,  but we had the best time chatting and laughing.  I miss her, but I have to smile when I see and think of things that remind me of her.   If she could see this card, it would bring a smile to her face as she loved Lily of the Valley stamps.

Thanks, for stopping in and looking at my card today.

Speedy Fox and Friends - Who Let The Dogs Out

This week at Speedy Fox and Friends the challenge is "Who Let The Dogs Out?"   That means we were to add a dog to our cards.  I used the MFP Stamp Shop stamps called " Fabulous Pets".  This image has special meaning to me.  I lost my beloved white boxer over a year ago and still miss him like crazy. He was the sweetest, most lovable and obedient boy ever. For those of you who met him, you know how loved he made you feel. He had a black circle around one eye and a brindle spot near his butt so I colored my image to look like my boy, Bandit.

I hope you will come and join us for the challenge this week, we want to see the dog on your card.

Have a great weekend.

Classy Cards N Such - Colorful Chloe Stems

I felt making a colorful card for Spring.   I am so ready for Spring which begins today.  I am also ready for the pretty weather that goes with it.  I am tired of the rains and we are having flooding from a nearby river.  So far,  I am not experiencing any problems from it, but one of my best friends has flooding on her road.

I used a Memory Box  Mesh stencil and sponged assorted colors around it, as well, as around the card edge.   I used my Memory Box Tall Chloe Stem Die to cut the colorful Chloe's.  I added stickles, blue rick rack and a sentiment from ODBD Ornate Frame Sentiments.

If you are interested in any of the products mentioned above please visit the Classy Cards N Such store.  You may use the code SHIRLEY-10 for a 10 per cent discount on your order.

Thank you, for loooking at my card today.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Classy Cards N Such - Inspired by Palm Trees and Banners

The challenge at Classy Cards N Such is to look at an inspiration picture and be inspired by something in the picture.  I was inspired by banners and Palm trees.   I had these lovely scraps from a paper pad  called Simple Stories -Vintage Bliss that is in the Classy Cards N Such store.  I love the paper and I could not bare to discard the scraps so I put them on my card for the challenge this week.  I saw a while back with a clothes pin  holding a heart on a clothes line, but I am not sure where I saw the card.  Any way, I liked it and thought it looked cute on my card.  For further details on my card please check out the  Classy Cards N Such blog.

I hope you will take a look at the inspiration picture and join us for the challenge.
