Life is Better In Flip Flops and at the Beach

Here is a card I made for my neighbor who was wanting a card to give to her grand-daughter that was leaving on a vacation to the beach.  I started out using the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Beach Scene and then added the Beach Fence.  I colored my image, sponged on clouds with turquoise ink and punched the sun for the top of my card.  I stamped the ODBD Flip Flops and used a ODBD die to cut them out.  I used pop ups  and added the flip flops to the card.  I stamped a ODBD sentiment over the clouds.  This was a fun card to make, now I just wish one pair of those flips on the beach were mine and I was soaking up a little of the sun.

Thank you, for coming by today.  I hope you are having a fun week.

Seagulls and Driftwood

Hi, everyone.  Today I have a couple of cards to share with you with stamps by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps-Seagulls and Driftwood.  I loved making the clouds for them,  that is one of my favorite things to do.

I started out stamping my image on my card stock and colored it with Copic Markers.  I used the Heidi Pettie Cloud Stencil and  Sunrise & Sunset Pan Pastels to create my clouds.  This is one of my favorite ways to make this sky.

The instructions above is basically the way I made the second card with the exception that the sky was done with Day & Night Pastels and  the water was sponged in blue ink.  This card was a happy mistake. I got blue ink on the log so I decided to sponge lightly over the rest of the log and the sand.   I figured that I could use it for my personal card stash.  Once I got it done, I liked how it looked so I decided to use it for this post for Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  I will be doing this happy mistake again in the near future.   I like happy mistakes.

Saddle Up and Celebrate

Here is a quick card I made for a little boy's birthday.  I used the Saddle Up and Celebrate stamp set by My Favorite Things.  I embossed the background with an horseshoe embossing folder that went perfectly with this little cowboy.  It was already embossed and waiting to be used.  I colored the image with Copics.  The balloon was popped up with dimensionals.  This stamp set has a cute little cowgirl stamp in it and I have colored two of those images.   I will make those into cards when I need a little girl's birthday card.

Father's Day Cards

Hi, everyone.  Hope you are having a good day.  The week here has been cooler and it has absolutely wonderful to be outside.  It is going to warm up today, but I am happy to have had five days of being cooler.  The week has gone by so fast, it is hard to believe that tomorrow is Friday, already.

Here are a couple of really quick Father's Day cards I made using scrap paper.  The stamps are Hero Arts that waited two years for me to ink them up.  I bought them because I thought they were cute.  I found it hard using them since I no longer have a Father.   This year I decided to use the set to make cards for others to give to their fathers.

Thanks, so much, for coming by today,  I certainly appreciate your visits.  Have a wonderful weekend and stay safe.

Flamingos and Wild Grass

I have a couple of cards from a new release from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps to share with you today.   I have used the Flamingo's and Wild Grass.  There are three stamps in this set.   The flamingos are each on separate stamps and the grass and sand are another stamp.

I stamped my image on white card stock.  I colored the sand and the grass using Copic Markers.  I used the Heidi Pettie cloud stencil and turquoise ink to make my sky.

I stamped the image on the white card stock once and then I added in some extra grass, to make the grass fuller with a different look,  using the same image.  It was easy to do since the grass and flamingo were not on the same stamp.  The sand and grass was colored with Copics.  I used Pan Pastels and the Heidi Pettie Cloud Stencil on the sky.

Winter Farmland

Hi, Friends,  I am back with two more cards to show you with Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Winter Farmlands.  I have to tell you, I had fun with this set.    It is one of my favorites from the new release.

I stamped my image and colored it with Copics.  I used my Heidi Pettie cloud stencil  and turquoise ink to make my clouded sky.  I used Nuvo Aqua Shimmer to put some sparkle on the snow on the trees and the rocks.

For this card, the sky is different,  I used my Pan Pastels to make the sky I thought looked like a snow storm might be brewing.  I used a paint pen to make the barn doors stand out.  I added  Galloping Horses silhouettes.  I thought they worked great with this snowy scene.

I hope you enjoyed my cards today.  If you want to see more Blue Knight cards, check out the Blue Knight  Blog and Facebook Page.

Wetlands

Hi, I am back with cards using Blue Knight Rubber Stamps-Wetlands.  I stamped my images on white card stock.  I colored them using Copic's.  The first sky was done using Pan Pastels.  I made a mask for the sun and applied yellow. I used the reverse mask and then sponged the remainder of the sky with with a blend of  Pan Pastels using orange and red.   I used a white gel pen on the water as my final touch to this card.

The second card was created like the first card with he exception of stamping in the
Mama Bear and Friends Stamp Set.  The clouds were made using a Heidi Pettie cloud stencil
and turquoise ink.  A white gel pen was also used on the water.
