Iwo Jima

Hi, Stamping Friends.  Today I am back with a couple of cards made with  the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Iwo Jima.

For the first card, I started by using the Magical Masking Tape Technique.  I  swiped the sticky side of the masking tape across my ink pad and then transferred the ink to my card stock to create the flag background.  I stamped the image over flag.  I really like this technique and had not used it in a while.

For my second card, I used my Heidi Pettie Cloud Stencil and blue ink to make my sky with the puffy clouds.  I then stamped the Iwo Jima image and the sentiment from the Thank You Hero  stamp set over the clouds to complete my card.

Thank you, for stopping in today.  I always appreciate your visits.

Sea Life

Hello, Friends.     I hope you all had a great weekend.  I was complaining that it had been a little chilly the last couple of weeks.  We now are having warmer weather and the last couple of days have been a little humid.  I like the heat, but the humidity really gets us in the summer.

Important - Please read.  I would like to ask you all to go to Bloglovin.comput in my blog name and and choose to follow me.  With the upcoming changes to Blogger and Feedburner also of July 1st,  there will no longer be emails sent when there is a new post on blogs.   When you do this you will get an email that will notify you when the blogs you have signed up for have new posts.  I have been trying to figure out, like many of you are, what to do.  I thought this might work. until maybe there is something better available.

I am sharing a couple of cards with you that I made using the Sea Life stamp set by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.

I chose to use a background that I had done some time ago that I created with sprays and added Heidi Swapp Gold Spray over the top of it.  When I saw this turtle image, I thought he would look great with it.    I turtle stamped the image over the top of the background along with a sentiment that was in the Chickadee on a Fence Post set.  I liked the sentiment and then I decided to google how turtles breath.  It was interesting, you might want to read up on it.  :).  I added some rhinestones to make it look like bubbles as the finishing touch.

On my second card, I stamped the turtle, seaweed, etc. on a piece of glossy paper that I had used alcohol ink with.  It gave the look of water and Mr. Turtle appears happy swimming in it. :)  I used Copic Markers to color in the images below the turtle.

I hope you enjoyed my cards.  Thank you, once again, for coming by for a visit.  I look forward to seeing you again soon.

Perfect Love

Hello My Crafty Friends,   hope you all had a great weekend.  I know, it went way too far, didn't it?  That just means you had some fun or got a lot accomplished.

I am sharing cards I made with the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps - Perfect Love.   I just love the cute little bunny on this stamp.  There are two sentiments that come in this set along with the flowers with bunny.

For the first card, I stamped the image on white card stock and colored it with Copic Markers. I used the Heidi Pettie Cloud Stencil and light blue ink to create the clouds.   I stamped the sentiment using black Marvy ink.  I made mats with purple and a deep pink card stock and then added them to the card base.

My second card was made the same as the first.  I used different colors of  markers on the flowers and I used another sentiment that was in this set.

Thank you, all, so much, for coming by today to take a look at my cards.  I hoped you liked them.  Have a great week.

Saluting Soldiers

Hi Everyone, hope all of you mother's had a wonderful day yesterday.  I had a great one.  The day went by way too fast.

Today I am sharing cards I made with the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Saluting Soldiers.

The first card I used the  Saluting Soldiers Stamps with the Old Glory stamp.  I stamped Old Glory on white card stock and colored it with Copic Markers.  I used Stazon Black Ink to stamp the Saluting soldier over the top of it.  I stamped the Thank You sentiment, which is from the God Bless America sentiment stamp set, on white card stock and then cut it to fit across the flag.  I then cut mats for my card and adhered them to the card base.

The second card was made by stamping  the soldier and the planes on camouflage designer paper using black StazOn Ink.  This was pretty quickly done.  I then did the matting and adhered them to the card base to complete my card.

Once again, I thank each one of you for stopping by, you are very appreciated.  Have a great week.
