Asian Themed Happy Birthday Card

I made this Asian card for a technique lovers challenge on Splitcoast Stampers.  Sabrina had a tutorial for us to make Asian lanterns.  All you need to do this is to have oval or round punches and a crimper. I used Art Neko Handmade Paper on the lanterns.   I used gold paper for the scalloped circle.  The image came from one of Art Neko Coin Envelopes.    I used an oval die to cut this cute boy out of the center of the bag.   I added the die cut gold Birthday Wishes for the finishing touch.

I want to wish each one of you a very Happy New Year.  Stay safe.  See you next year.

Friends of Flourishes Christmas Challenge

It is Saturday and time for a new challenge for the Friends of Flourishes design team.   I used the
Flourishes Coastal Christmas stamp set for my card.   This stamp set comes in a stamp form as well as in a digital image.  After I colored my image,  fussy cut the wreath and placed a stamped sentiment behind it, then attached it to the pink doily.  The pink palm tree paper was perfect to showcase my beach themed wreath.

Be sure to check out the other design team members blogs to see their cards.

Blue Knight - Pathways of Life

The Ways To Use It challenge today is "Windows of the World". I used the stamp called Pathway Through The Woods". It makes me think about all the pathways in life and the ones we chose to follow. Wow, if we could put our paths on a map, we would probably have more paths on a road map than roads. In my life, I have chose a lot of wrong paths, but maybe those were the paths that led me to the paths that make me happy. Oh, well, that is my food for thought for the day. Have a happy day.

Merry Christmas - Gold Embossed Ornament

I have a pretty, but quick Christmas card to share with you today. I used the Art Neko images S1010001-Bold Star Christmas Ornament and the S1010014 Merry Christmas Text.
I chose a pretty bluish green card stock and I adhered it to a white card base. I used my embossing buddy to rub one the blue paper to prepare it for the embossing process. I used Versa Mark ink to stamp my image along with the sentiment. I then used gold embossing powder over it. For the finishing touch, I added a white bow on the gold ornament.
I appreciate your coming by today and I hope you liked the card.

Friends of Flourishes - Pearls and Lace

Hello, my crafty friends.   Today we are having the first Friends of Flourishes Challenge.  We were challenged with the theme of Pearls and Lace.   For my lace, I used the square lacy die.  I added it over a white dry embossed dotted layer which was adhered to the card base.  I colored my poinsettia from the Flourishes Year in Flowers 3 stamp set.  I used another die to cut and emboss the image.  I added my pearls in the corners.  I had a strand of silver embellishments and I snipped off pieces of it to place around the the image to give it more of a festive feel.

Be sure to visit the other team members and see the cards they have made to "wow" you today.

Art Neko Teahouse on Lily Pond

Here is a card I made for the Art Neko blog today.   I used the Art Neko image  Teahouse on Lily Pond.

I layered my gold shimmery paper and Asian designer paper over the black card base.  I colored my image using copic  markers and matting it over layers of the same papers previously used.  I used Asian dies to cut the Kanji and the bridge. I layered the Kanji and popped it up with dimensional.  I adhered the pieces to the card base to complete the card.

Thanks, for stopping in  today.  I hope you enjoyed my card.

Blue Knight Winter Cabin Christmas

Here is a card I made for the Technique Lovers challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers.  We were to add snowflakes to our cards.  I used glitter paper to cut the snowflakes.  I used the image Winter Cabin by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  The image was colored with copics on Georgia Pacific card stock.   I always thought this card stock  was hard to color, but some of my friends at QKR were using this card stock to make their outstanding cards.   It took me a while to be able to do it, but I finally got the hang of it.  Before I was using a very nice card stock which was super easy to color.   The last time I ordered the nice card stock, it was not the same so I am happy I can work with the Georgia Pacific plus the cost is cheaper.

Have a good day, Friends.

Crossing The Old Covered Bridge

Here is a card I made using images from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  The ones used are Covered Bridge and Antique Car Rear View.   I have always loved Covered Bridges and one does not see many of those around anymore.  I saw my first one when I was fifteen.  My parents took me to Indiana to visit friends.   I was so amazed to see a bridge that was actually covered.

I colored my images with copics and fussy cut the antique car that is crossing the bridge.

Thank you, for visiting my blog and I hope you enjoyed my card.

Blue Knight Praying For You

I recently received this stamp from Blue Knight Stamps called "Praying For You".  I colored the  image with copics and fussy cut it.  I added some wings using a die from ODBD.

I used a technique from the Splitcoast MIX challenge this week to make the background.    I took watercolor paper and sprinkled two colors of Ken Oliver color bursts on it.   I spritzed it with shimmer mist.  I used a piece of Saran Wrap over the top and then dabbed the wrap around on the paper.   Let's say my background does not look like it should because my paper was way to wet.  Since there was a big puddle I used paper towel to dry it up.    I let it dry naturally.

The Free 4 All challenge at Splitcoast was to make a card and attach a gift.    I created a bookmark using the angel with wings.    Since the bookmark could not be glued down, I add a corner die cut to hold the bookmark in place.     When the background dried I put my other pieces on the card.

Thank you, for taking a look at my little angel.

Art Neko Cowgirl

I made this card for the Inspiration challenge on Splitcoast.  I matched my paper colors to a scarf.
I was needing a card for Art Neko, as well, so I added this little cowgirl to the  red and black designer paper.  The Art Neko set I used is "Cowboy Up" #A271FSHT.

Thank you, for coming by to look at my card.

MKH Designs - The Write Stuff

Today I am showcasing the new The Write Stuff  digital stamp set for MHK Designs blog.    I really like this vintage set.    I wanted to keep this design simple.  I had plans to add some black rhinestones, but once I finished the card, I decided I liked it just the way it is.

Hello, my friends.   I couldn't wait to share this cute card made with the MHK Designs Stitched Tea Party digital stamps.  I printed the teapot on to colored paper, colored my flowers and leaves.  I used Stickles in the center of the flowers.   I used white acrylic paint and a sylus to make the dots.  Now just look at the cute sentiment,  isn't it really sweet?

MHK Designs - Realistic Roses

Here we are and it is day two of the MHK Blog Hop.  Today I am showcasing the Realistic Roses.  The roses are beautiful.  I love yellow roses so I had to color them yellow.  I added a doily on my card because I always set my flowers on a doily.  I added lots of bling which does not show up well in my picture.

Thank you, for stopping in today.  I hope you enjoyed seeing how I used the new Realistic Roses stamp set.

Run, Run, As Fast As You Can

Here is a card I made for fun yesterday morning.  I entered it in the Ways To Use It challenge on Splitcoast.   I used a retired stamp set by Mark's Finest Paper.  I really had fun making my Ginger Cookie step card.   I used the Ornate and Lacy Ovals by Our Daily Bread Designs.

Thanks, for taking a look at my card.   Have a wonderful weekend.

Blue Knight ~ Truck with Free Trees

Oh, how I love old trucks and old cars.   I suppose it is because it is nice to think of how much different things were during those times.  Things were a lot more laid back,  families gathered at Grandma's every week without sitting in the parlor with a cell phone in hand.  Just so you know,  I do not remember this particular truck because I think it is older than me.  ~Smile~

I colored the Blue Knight image with copics.   I added some white flower soft to make snow on the truck and the tree.  The dies I used are  SB Divine Eloquence and labels 38.   I used a Impression Obsession Pine Branch and Santa's Sleigh.   The free tree sign is computer generated and the Merry Christmas sentiment is from MFP.    I haven't used bling in a while so I was having blind withdrawals.  I might have over done it with the silver stars and gold sequins.

Thanks, for visiting me in Boxertown today.  I hope you  come back soon.

Make sure to leave a comment on each designer’s blog as we will be giving prizes away randomly from two of the designer’s blogs.

Here is the card I made for the hop today using Flourishes

I started my card with a white card base and layered it with pink.  I used a Joy corner die to cut four corners to place over the pink layer.  The next step was to take a white square of card stock and I  placed a chicken wire stencil over it,  I used a Versamark Pad to rub over the stencil.   Once the card stock was saturated with the Versamark,  I sprinkled silver embossing powder over it.

I stamped my image and colored it with copics.  I used a circle die to cut it out.   I used my Lacey Tier dies to cut the other pieces of the card.  I then adhered my Camillia on the front of the card.  I added pearls and rhinestones as the finishing touches to my card.

I made this card today for the Splitcoast Stampers Featured Stamper challenge.  I love old barns and I used this Blue Knight image Winter Barn.   I colored the barn and horses with copic markers.  I used a cloud template to sponge the clouds and snow around the barn.

I hope you all are having a great Sunday.

Blue Knight ~ Blue Bird Babies

I  am very excited to share a bit of news with you.   I was recently asked to design for Blue Knight Rubber Stamps, a new stamp company.   This is my first  card designed for them.    I loved this image the moment I saw it.  I felt just a bit intimidated when I started coloring, but I must say the artist did such a great job drawing it and it was easy to color with my copics.    I had a cute layout planned for it, but once I finished coloring,  I knew I was going to use a simpler layout because I felt the image was too pretty to cover up.  I liked just adding the one decorative  Joy corner and adding some bling.

I hope you all are having a great weekend.  If you are out shopping the sales,  I hope you find just what you are looking for.     Thanks for coming by today.

QKR Stampede- Angel Under The Weather

The challenge for the QKR Stampede Blog  is to put an angel on our cards.  I used the QKR  image Sick Angel #19005.  The sentiment is computer generated.  The inside sentiment
Angels Get Down #20003 says "Even an Angel Like Your Can Get Down".

I used copics to color my angel.  I used a gold stickles on the angel's halo.  Her wings also has stickles on it.  I added some glitter before the stickles dried.  I added some sequins to give my card a little bling.

Thank you, for coming by today.  I hope you will play the challenge.  We would love to see your cards.

Art Neko - Cowboy Up

Today I am sharing a card I made for Art Neko using their Cowboy Up A271FSHT stamps.
This image reminds me so much of one of my grandson's.  He loved red cowboy boots, they were his favorite.  Actually he wasn't much bigger than the little boy on the card when he started entering rodeo's.

I colored my image with copic markers.   I added a double horse shoe sticker in the corner, but it does not show up vey clear.

Thank you, for stopping by today.  It is always good to see you here.

QKR Stampede ~Thank You Bunny

The challenge for the QKR Stampede blog theme for this week is to make a thankful card.
I started my card by printing the QKR Thank You #85005 image.   I printed my
Patchwork Bunny #6603 and fussy cut it.  I placed it by the thank you so it looked it was one image.  I thought the images paired up really good since they both had matching buttons and patches.

I hope you will go over to the blog to take a look at my teamie's cards.  They have made some really cute ones to share with you.  Be sure and make a thankful card to enter in our challenge.  You will have a chance to win some cute digital stamps.

I am happy you came by today.  Have a wonderful weekend.

Art Neko - Wine Cask

I wanted to share a card that I made for the Art Neko Rubber Stamp Blog using the Art Neko Rubber Stamp Wine Cask A3840003.

I took a napkin with grapes on it and put glue on the back of it. I  attached it to my vanilla card base. I colored my wine cask and the grapes with copics. I colored the grapes to match the ones on the napkin. I fussy cut the image and set it aside. I had a scrap piece of burlap on my craft table so I adhered it to the card base. I took a piece of heart lace and adhered it to the burlap, then added the pearls. I placed the image over the burlap, attaching it with adhesive. I stamped the sentiment  Vintage Wine A3840002 on a piece of card stock and cut it out to place it over the wine cask. In the upper corner of my card I added a sticker with wine bottles on it which was the finishing touch to my card.

I hope you enjoyed the card I prepared for today.   I appreciate you coming by today.

Colors of Fall and Burlap

I am excited to be posting the first card that I created for the Art Neko Blog.  I used the Fall Images A329.

I started out by stamping the acorns with Versa Mark and embossed them with gold embossing powder.  I stamped my leaves onto Glossy card stock,  then took some distress ink and drug them over the leaves.  I fussy cut the acorns and leaves,  I then assembled my card.  I arranged the acorns over the burlap ribbon.  Once I decided where I wanted to place the acorns, I added some gold cording behind them.  The final step was adhering the leaves to the embossed panel.

I appreciate you stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed my card.

QKR Stampede - A Touch Of Gold

The challenge this week for the QKR Stampede challenge is to add a touch of gold.  I used the QKR Stampede stamp The Perfect Tree #12708.   I love this cute little tree that everyone wants to call the "Charlie Bown" tree.     I added yellow stickles to the star.

Be sure and come over to the blog and take a look at my team mates cards.

What List Are You On?

I made this card for the Sketch Challenge and the Ways To Use It Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers.  I love this image, it is always so fun to use.  I purchased this stamp in St Louis one year when my friend Sue and I were shopping at the Scrapbook store.  Every time I see the stamp, I think of her because I sent her a card with this image and I wrote her name on the bad list even though I am the one who is always bad.

The paper pad I used is by Paper Studio.  I really like making my Christmas cards with red and black papers.  This plaid really caught my eye and I had to use it.

I think that I (me)  am on the good list, but I bet you think it's you.  ~grin~

Thanks, for looking at my card and have a great day.

A Birthday Puppy

Hi, I hope everyone had a great weekend.  It definitely went by too fast.   My weekend was great.  I went to a craft show with two of my best friends on Saturday.  Saturday night, we had friends over to play cards.   Yesterday it was church and babysitting two of our grand-children.

I made this card for the Splitcoast Featured Stamper challenge.   The sweet and creative Holly Brown was featured.  Not only is she talented, but she is a very sweet person.

For my card, I used a scrap of a Paisley paper.  The image is from ART NEKO and it was on a sheet of stamps I recieved called "Cowboy Up".    The sentiment is from MFP.  Here is the card that I cased of Holly's.
If you want to play the challenge you can find the details on the first post HERE

QKR Stampede - Halloween

It is time for another challenge at the QKR Stampede blog.    The theme is Halloween.   I decided to use the Haunted House #24235 image for my card today.   I wanted to add in some bright colors so I did some sponging and placed the window over the image.   I added a couple of spooky eye balls in the top of the window.    I liked the black cat at the bottom of the window, but I am not sure how well you can see it.

I am hoping you will come over to the blog and share your Halloween cards with us.  You just never know, you might be the lucky winner of some new digi stamps,  if you do.
