Squigglefly Odd number

Rhonda's Rowdy Rascals are hosting the Squigglefly challenge today.    The challenge is to make a card using an odd number of elements which could be buttons, flowers, images, papers, etc..  I used three different papers.  I chose to use a image by the talented Deena Perault called "Cottage Window".

Speedy Fox and Friends-Easel card

Another Saturday has rolled around and it is time for a new Speedy Fox and Friends challenge.  Today we are making Easel cards.    I used a Mark's Finest Paper stamp called "Be Wild and Free".  I sponged the back ground with colors that was in my DCWV paper.    Why don't you make an easel card and come over to the blog and upload your card for us to see?    You might just win a prize, too.

CCEE- Kitchen challenge

The CCEE challenge is given by our hostess Kathy Bradley.  She has challenged us to make a card using whatever we might find in our kitchens.   I chose the Stampin' Up Tea Shop stamp set  and SU Doily to make mine.  I hope you will make a card for our challenge and upload it to our blog.

April Showers

The Squigglefly challenge today has a theme, April Showers bring May flowers.  I chose to use this squigglefly image called "puffy flower" by Angela Donato.  I colored it in blues because it is for a friends birthday that loves blue.

Quick and Easy

Here is a card that I made for  Teapot Tuesday over at Splitcoast.  It was for a gentleman who loves to golf.  This card took me about 20 minutes to make.  That is so rare for me.

Speedy Fox and Friends Border Challenge

The Speedy Fox and Friends challenge today is to punch a border.   There is nothing that adds to a card, in my opinion, than adding a border and embossing.    I am still having fun with the stamp set called "Be A Showoff" that just became available in Mark's Finest Paper Store this week.  I had gotten this paper in a huge pack of paper and had forgotten about it.  I ran across it this week so I colored up my peacock to match it.  Be sure and make a card with your favorite border or any border you want and upload to Mr. Linky on our blog.  We would love to see your card.  Thanks, for coming by today and taking a peek at my challenge card.

Today at Mark's Finest Papers, we are showing the new set called "Birds and Trees".  On my first card, I chose to make my trees brown and blue to match the paper.  On the second card,  I wanted to do something a little different with this set to show you the  versatility of this set.  I used the trees to make flowers.  I had also thought of making a wreath with them, as well.  Today brings to the end of our blog hop.  I sure hope you enjoyed and that you might have been one of the lucky winners.  Thanks, so much, for joining us.

This was a fun card to make.  I love this castle and I love making the clouds.   Castle + Clouds = Fun.
The little dragon looks like a happy chap.  We all know someone who this sentiment would be perfect for, everyone is so busy these days and dragging or is that "Dragon"?  ~grin~

CCEE Color Challenge - We Work For Peanuts

Kathy is the hostess this month for the CCEE Stampers challenge.  She has challenged us to use pink, gray and white.  I like this color combo, it reminds me of a favorite dress in these colors that I had a long time ago.   I used a cute little elephant from  Mark's Finest Paper "Zoo Friends".   I love paper piecing so this little elephant is perfect for it.  This is one of the new sets that became available in Mark's Finest Paper store this week.  Thanks, for stopping by and I hope to see you over at the CCEE Stampers blog, be sure to come over and take a look at the other team members cards.

Welcome to Day One of Mark's Finest Paper Blog hop.  Today we are showcasing the columns and topiary stamps.   On this card I colored my image with Copic Markers and did a little sponging around the edge of the image.  This set could be used for many occasions, birthday, sympathy, get well, wedding, etc..  Be sure to hop a long with us today so you can get your name in the drawing to win one of the new sets.

Mark's Finest Paper Sneak Peek of the 5th and Mini set

                      This set is just so cute, I love all the little" Zoo Friends" and the sentiments.

This is the "You May Bow" set.  The crown is embossed with silver embossing powder although it does look white in the picture.

Squigglefly - Mother's Day Card

The Squigglefly challenge for today was given by Rhonda's Rowdy Rascal's and we were challenge to make a Mother's Day card.  I chose to make my Mother's Day Card with a Squgglefly image by Lynne Stansbery called "Time for the Spa".  This image was just released on Saturday. What mother wouldn't want to receive this card with a gift certificate for a massage on her special day?   Please come over to Squigglefly's blog and join us for the challenge.

Speedy Fox and Friends - White Embossing

Let's follow a recipe - CCEE

Today the CCEE Stampers have a new challenge posted and it is to follow a recipe of 1 square, 1 circle and 2 designer papers.   Once you use those ingredients, the sky is the limit, add anything you like.  I used, a soon to be released, image from Mark's Finest Paper called "Show Off".  I happened to see this paper at Hobby Lobby and was not particularly fond of it, but thought it might work with this new set.
Once I got my peacock and the blue/black designer paper with it, I really like it.   I was afraid it would be another one of those papers in my collection that would never be used.  I bet there isn't anyone else in blog land that does that.  ~grin~

The blue spiral piece was some thick wire that was on my grandson's prom butoniere a couple of years ago.   Sometimes when you keep something long enough you find a way to use it.

Squigglefly Bush Shack - Use Liquids

Rhonda's Rowdy Rascals over at Squigglefly are doing the challenge this week.   Rhonda challenged us to use some type of liquid on our cards.   Wow, I have struggled with this one for  about four days.
I water colored a image and it was a no go.   I got out my Tim Holtz  alcohol inks and I sponged about 6 sheets of glossary paper before I got one I liked.   Then to find just the right image to go on it was a little challenge, but I decided on this Squigglefly  image by Gayle Seach.  I colored it with blue and gray copics and added my Cottage Cutz trees.  Now that it is done, it was worth the effort and thanks, Rhonda, for this encouragement to use my inks again.  Kathy and I played with them over the weekend so I got to have more fun with them.

 Don't you just love this image?  I sure do.
