CCEE Stampers #1330 - Old School Color Blocking

This week the challenge over at the CCEE Stampers blog is to make a card doing "Old
School" color blocking.   Guess who did not read the full directions of this challenge.
Correct, it was me.  I color blocked with magical masking tape, put my card together and
realized I had not done the challenge correct.  I took the card apart and cut it into pieces
and put it back together again.  I think I am now in compliance with the rules of this
challenge.  I hate it when I hear the sirens of the challenge police coming my way.  :)

I used a stamp set from Artistic Outpost called "Boardwalk".  I use SU inks-gumball green, midnight muse and pool party.

Make our day and join us for the challenge.  Thanks, for stopping by.

  1. Ha, I did the same thing with one of my own challenges...three times I had to go back to avoid those challenge police....I can empathize with you, Shirt...but, it was soooo worth it....what a cool card!

  2. Looks to me, like you did a great job with the challenge! I can't begin to tell you how many challenges I have goofed on. Especially if they call for more than one detail...I'll manage to get all but one right...I guess I don't follow directions very well...smile.

  3. We'll put a road block up so the challenge police can't get through. I like your "old school" color block card -- doctored up a bit.

  4. :D, I know from the recent colour blocking WT challenge how cool the Magical Masking Tape was for it, so I can understand how you went with that flow. Plus the slight distressed look it gives is perfect with the vintage image. It looks fun blocked into squares, too - reminds me of those little puzzles where you have to push the pieces round!!

  6. Adorable, Shirt, love this old fashioned day at the beach! Your masking tape technique makes a great BG and I love the shells for your border in the First card you did in error, but it looks every bit as good in this second card without the border!! It's all about the layout the technique and the stamp you used!!!

You know what I was thinking when I saw this Image??? LOL, ri-ight!!!!

Can't decide if I like the first or second card the mostest!!!
