Speedy Fox and Friends - Use Metal

The Speedy Fox and Friends challenge this week is to make a card and use metal.    I used Stazon and stamped the pocket watch on a coke can. I cute the image out and dry embossed it to give it some texture and placed it on black card stock.   Don't worry about your scissors when you cut the metal of the Coke can,  it does not damage the scissors,  it actually makes them sharper.   I used Silver embossing poweder  on the pocket watch background.I used the Mark's Finest Paper stamps "Take Time" and "Pocket Watches" to make my card.

Thanks for coming by today.

Inspiration Challenge - Cute Surfers

We are still using the Surf City theme over at the Speedy TV Inspiration challenge this week.  I found some really cute surfer dogs for everyone to draw their inspiration from.    One of the dog surfers was a boxer so naturally with me being a boxer lover, I chose that picture.  I changed the colors a little so  could have some wild colors in the surf board.  This boxer looks like my first boxer, Savannah Rose.  I think she looks pretty cool on her surf board.  :)  Savannah really picked up quickly with the "surfin" slang, too.  She just hit a knarly (which means choppy or hard)  wave.

This is also for the CCEE challenge for the theme of chocolate, could be color or the chocolate with lots of calories.  Savannah was fawn which is considered brown so I hope this qualifies.

Here is the picture that I chose for inspiration:

Come on over to Speedy TV and join us for the challenge.

Speedy Fox Challenge - Anything, but a card

The Speedy Fox challenge this week is to make anything, but a card.   This was a hard one for me
because cards are my passion.   I had an idea picked out to alter something, but my search at thrift stores, for the item I had in mind, was not successful.   I decided to come home and stamp on a candle.
To do the candle stamping, you need to color your image on tissue paper.  Cut the image out, place it on your candle in the place you want the image, take a large piece of wax paper and wrap it around the candle with your image in place.  Once I had my image in place, I took my heat gun and heated the image.  You will be able to tell when the image is done, the wax paper takes on a little different look.
Be careful and don't burn your fingers or hand while doing this.

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to go over to Speedy Fox to see what my teamie's have made.

Speedy TV Inspiration Challenge - Surfboards

The  Inspiration challenge is to make a card from  pictures of Surfboard's this week.   I am still having fun with our February Speedy TV Surf City Inspiration.   Be sure and come over to the Speedy TV Inspiration challenge to see the pictures.  Here is the surfboard I got my inspiration from:

I thought this was a pretty cool looking board, what do you think?   It had nice bright colors to give me inspiration for my card.

Copics used:  YR 04, 07, 09, R05, Y08

CCEE Stampers - Delft Tile

This week the challenge for the CCEE Stampers is to make a card using the Delft Tile technique.  This is a new technique for me.  Here is the tutorial on Splitcoast stampers.    I used a SU celebration set from last year called "Feeling Sentimental".   I also used a ODBD "Grunge Cross"  background stamp.  I used  SU Pool Party ink and papers.

Thanks, for stopping by today.

Here Kitty, Kitty, Kitty - Stay off my truck and we will be friends.

Here is a card I made for the Teapot Party over at Splitcoast stampers.  I love this cute Squigglefly image by Enid Barnes.  As a matter of fact, I love all her images and have purchaseds several lately.
We inherited a cat a few years ago and it is a great cat, but I sure do not like him getting on my truck.
I don't think I can ever get him to stay off  of it so I guess I will have to accept it.

Thanks, for stopping by today.

Squigglefly - Use a digital image and sentiment

Rhonda's Rowdy Rascal's are giving the challenge over at  the Squigglefly blog.
The challenge is to make a card using both a digital image and sentiment.  I chose to use this Great Dane image by Enid Barnes. Enid is a new artist at Squigglefly and I am really enjoying her images.   The circle  sentiment is by Jess Holland.  You can find these stamps
HERE.  I made  the bottom strip to look like a collar, but it does not show up well in this pic.

Speedy Fox and Friends - Use Chalk

The Speedy Fox and Friends challenge is to make a card using chalks.   When I first started stamping,  I used chalks a lot.  I never seemed to work much magic with chalks.    I never seem to get enough color with them.  This is my favorite chalk creation.   I stamped my image with white ink, then I pounced chalk colors over the ink while it was still a little wet.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Speedy TV Inspiration Challenge-Surf City "Woodies"

The Speedy TV Inspiration challenge is Surf City Woodies this week.  I found pictures of some neat old "Woodies" to get our inspiration from.   I used the Mark's Finest Paper  "Your a Classic" stamp set for my card.  Woodies were known to be a car with a wood look panel down the side of it.  I drew lines on the side of the classic car to make it look like a  old Woodie.

Here are the pictures I chose for the inspiration:

I hope you will join us for this challenge over at Speedy TV.
