QKR Transportation and F4A Recycling

Hi, first off, I want to apologize for not posting  for the past week.    I had to do some upgrades on my computer and it sure has had me in a tizzy.  My photo program changed and I have it figured out.  I use Gimp to put on my watermark and to resize my cards, but Gimp was not working with the new upgrade.  My son spent a lot of time getting it to work for me.  I am thankful he knows how to do all the things that my computer needs.  Anyway, figuring out all the changes sure ate up a lot of my creating time.

I have also had my three year old grandson a lot the last week and I have had a blast with him.   He is always so funny with the way he says things.  He has a great sense of humor and loves to tease.  I have no idea who he gets that from.  ~smile~

Okay, back to the card I made for today - it is for the QKR Stampede Blog challenge for this week.   The challenge is to make a card showing a form of transportation.   I used the QKR image
Old car #20205.    The image was colored with copics.

This card is also for the Free 4 All challenge over at Splitcoast.  I  am hosting it this week and I have challenged for everyone to make a card with something recycled on it.   A friend and I ate at a local pizzeria a couple of months ago.  We were given the neatest place mats.  My old car image is sitting on a portion of that place mat.  Actually there is a picture of a car on the mat and I used pop dots and popped my car up over the other car.   I knew I would find a use for this place mat sooner or later.

Be sure and join the QKR Stampede team for the transportation challenge.

Thanks, for stopping by and have a good weekend.

  3. Oh this is so fabulous, great image and design. I'm glad you had fun with your grandson, they are so special. I really loath computer glitches and problems, I too have to have others come to my rescue when something is not working right... just had to replace my printer...again! augh.

  4. So good to see you could use the placemat from the pizzeria!! How great this looks with the vintage car image and of course, just the right papers and embellishments.
It is always fun to have the grands over, but SO exhausting!! He is definitely worth it though and so adorable all rolled into one fantastic kid! Glad your computer is back working again - hope it is all good from here on out!!

  5. Shirley, I love this card. I often save placemats and other items to use on my cards & most of the time I forget where they got put. This turned out wonderful.
