Reeds and Ducks

Here is a card I made with Reeds and Ducks by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.   There are six images in this set and there are different sizes of reeds and ducks to fit your stamping needs.  I colored the bottom of the image using distress ink.  I used a white gel pen on the water to make it look like small waves or rough water.  The sky was made using distress inks, also.  I punched a circle for the sun out of a post it note.  I sponged the sky using yellow and orange inks.  I then removed the post it note circle and sponged with yellow and then went over it with orange letting the orange go out over the sun.

On my second card I used a Copic Marker to color the water.  Next I made the clouds using a Heidi Pettie Cloud stencil that sells for $5.99.    I stamped the airplane in the sky using the Beach Chairs and Accessories  stamp set.  I stamped the Happy Birthday on the banner using the Birthday Wishes stamp set.  I stamped my reeds and ducks in the water and Viola , my card is finished.

You can find more cards made with  Blue Knight Rubber Stamps on the Blue Knight Blog and the Fans Facebook Page.  You will find lots of helpful tutorial on the You Tube Channel.
Thanks, once again, for stopping by today.

  1. Ah, the beauty of a summer day with the ducks on the water and a plane overhead, then the glory of a summer sunset as the sun goes down in all its glory! Shirley, you have used your colors magnificently to create both of these lovely scenes from the two BK sets - BRAVO!

Just think...wasn't it a year ago that we met Who would have thought so much would have happened in between. We met at that that stamp show and this year they had to cancel it twice and now it's not scheduled until 2021.
