Swan Scene

Hello and Happy New Year.  Here is my first blog post for the this year.  I am showcasing a brand new stamp set Swan Scene from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  Be sure and check out ALL the new releases HERE.

For my first card, I stamped the silhouette Swan Scene image on white card stock using Black VersaFine Clair ink.  The ink works very well for Silhouette stamps.  I colored the water using a Copic Marker.  The sky was created using a Heidi Pettie Cloud Stencil and Wilted Violet Distress Ink.  I used silver, black, purple and designer paper to create the mats.

On my second card, I stamped the silhouette Swan Scene on card stock using the same black ink.  I used  the Day and Night Soft Pan Pastel Palette to create the water.  I used the Sunrise and Sunset Soft Pan Pastel Palette to create the sky.  I used black and Orange Sherbet Card stock to create the mats.

I have no idea what is going on with blogger, I used

left alignment for the text and it started out that way and

changed the alignment for me to have to correct, as well

and now has started double spacing the lines.  Please

excuse look of my blog this week.  I hope it is better next

                       week.

  1. Both of these cards with the new Swan scene stamp are gorgeous! I love how you have changed the entire look by changing the colors of the sky, the clouds, and papers you used - I see the swans being used for anniversary and wedding cards, as well as birthday and thinking of you. Great vision, Shirley!

  2. Gorgeous cards, I'm getting used to the 2 different styles! I wondered what your second would be before I had looked at your first properly LOL. I have looked now and they are both amazing, the skies in each are just gorgeous so are the colours. I love the patterned paper on the first and the simple frame on the second. Always gorgeous cards Shirley.
As for the spacing, make it normal, not paragraph. I cut the text and make the line left aligned and paste, it usually works, not sure if that's how it's done, just how I do it.
    Keep safe
