Hello Friends, today we are celebrating Labor Day in the USA. That means that many people here has had a three day weekend so they can rest up to go back to laboring tomorrow. :) Lots of people having cookouts and fish fries. I think we are going to have a pretty quiet day. We may go to a car show that is just down the road from us. They will have some food trucks and that is a whole lot easier than barbecuing . I don't think I will be doing any labor today. (smile)
Today I am sharing cards that have been made by using some of the NEW Day and Night Designer Paper. They have 4 different packages of the paper. Two are day and two are night. This really makes it easier to make a scene card. I love the beautiful skies. The paper was deigned by Deanna Tubb-Sedilo. I used the Striped Hammock stamp set with mine and made a couple of really quick cards. You can use an image on them and then are able to color the image over the paper. I have not done that yet, but I have teamies that have. I need to try it soon.
For my first card, I used the Day Designer Paper. I decided to add some ink to mine to make it a little different. I made the sky brighter. After I inked the sky, I stamped my striped hammock (which has the trees on the same stamp) on the Day designer paper. Viola, my scene is ready to mount on the card base. I will warn you, you will be seeing me use a lot of this paper, I am a fan.

That paper is so pretty and I'm going to have to check it out, Really nice!! I love the tree and hammock stamp you used with the paper too - makes into beautiful cards. The hammock brings back a lot of memories of laying out under a shade tree in the summer before we had air conditioning!

ReplyDeleteOh wow that would make it go even quicker with these backgrounds. I love sunsets but that night sky one is pretty cool too. I was always afraid to get into a hammock I tipped so easy when I was a kid, never have tried as an adult :)
ReplyDeleteI think I need his paper (because I don't have any - LOL) love both the day and night - and the hammock looks so inviting - under two nice shade trees.
